I started with a used R-32 GT-R.
I think I'll try this strategy for as long as possible. I remember doing this in GT3 but I had to buy a silver benz and some other car to get 100%.
cam123Still havent bought one. I have 25 cars over 10% and trying to see how long I can go until I absolutely have to buy one. I like a challenge.

I just got the game last night and first off bought the MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION GSR '92 (It's available in Week 1 in Used Car Early 90's Caryard) for 9,582 Cr and did an oil change - checked it out and that little bewdy pulls 249BHP (or for us Aussies 183Kw with 307 Nm of Torque) and 4WD to boot!!!!
Haven't had a chance to race that little baby yet, but will do so over the weekend - should do great though (not much challenge in the early races I'm thinking though)

was gonna start with a wrx STI, but tried it in arcarde and i wasnt happy with the sloppy suspention. i started with the tuner car HPI R32 golf. ive got about 25 cars now and its still in the top 3 of the best handling, and best power to weight ratio cars ive got, right up there with the 22b rally wrx.

Sold it later for a R33 GTR LM which I thought was really rare but they pop up really often in my used car lot. Now it has about 490kw.

My first car which i used for racing was the Nimso 270r. I won it by doing one of the license tests. 👍

I chose the '90 Mazda RX-7 GT-X 232bhp and I cant make any decent cash. I can only be competitive at the moment in the Sunday Cup, actually I win that easily everytime but as soon as I try a race like FR Cup I get beat easily. I am sick of just winning sunday cup $600 every race. I think by choosing the rx-7 they pit me against harder oppositions. Could this be the reason.
My current mods are: Racing Air Filter & Exhaust / Racing Chip.
Should I start again with a honda type r. I am a good driver in other turismo's (i finished them all) but I dont know whats wrong with me in this one.

I went for a used Honda S2000, 10,000 Cr cheaper than the new model, and runs like it's on rails...

I went for the '91 Silvia S13 2000cc K's, then did Sunday Cup > Silvia Sisters > Japanese 90's Festival > FR Challenge. Not brilliant for A-Spec points, but OK for me as an average driver and I gradually upgraded it along the way with race cash only, not selling prize cars. With its mod's fitted, which include suspension, LSD and tyres not just power, it's now a nice drive fit for easy tarmac special condition events.
Rather than max it out, I'll probaly now switch to something else - why waste those 700 cars PD have given us?!
