PSN?!? What PSN?!?
While looking at another poll that offered a lose-lose situation which ever way you voted, I got an đź’ˇ. If you had to chose between either custom paint and colors for your car's exterior, wheels, and I guess you can throw the wing in there too for the down force lovers. Or on the other hand skid marks and damage together at once in sync like N'Sync and whining shamelessly :sly:. So get crazy with colors and hues or colorfully leave skid and tire marks about as you race the car next to you down the 'Corkscrew' and suffer a little exterior work.

I'll take the skid marks and damage now and wait for the practical custom color idea at a later date or Gran Turismo for that matter.

Why not have both? Why must we choose one or the other? In this generation of developing, I don't think either one is too much to ask for. Both should be implemented. But if I was forced to choose I would have to say skid marks/vehicle damage for the sole reason of it adding realism to this 'real life' racing sim. But I still think customizing your car is a huge plus and adds a whole different aspect to the game.

If they'd give us both already then there wouldn't be a need for the thread. If only they would though. But your point makes sense. Paint and color is pretty much a feature in any racing game as well as skid marks. It's evident though by the end product that GT's focus is on other details and mechanics in a racing game, and that's what makes it the real life simulator it's been since the first Gran Turismo.

No option there for both...thats what GT5 should have.
5-6 yrs....c'mon guys I think you've had more than enough time.

Paint and custom colors- main reason being is that I could take a stock car, and build it into looking like a race car that exists today, like the AM DBR9, BMW M3 GTR race car, a lot of the World Touring Car Championships builds.

Although- just thought of this- if I was racing- I'd be looking at the road, and would see the details put into the road, and could possibly signify where to brake

Damage and skidmarks definetly. Although I'm pretty excited to see what type of modifications we'll have, seeing as recent interviews point at quite a in depth modification system.

I'm really not interested in custom paint, a few colours like in GT4 is good enough for me. Skid marks aren't a big deal for me either, but I'd certainly love to see some realistic damage effects. In the end none of these are crucial to me (mechanical damage is though), but visual damage is the most appealing.

Custom paint/colors, definitely. Skid marks and damage won't make the game longer for me. Custom paints and & colors, however, will.

I want it all, dammit!

But... If I really had to choose between the two options given in the poll, skid marks/damage.

Sorry if i miss something, but, damage its already confirmed, or not?

So i choose paint colors and skidmarks.

What about option C, BOTH!

Tough choice, liveries are nice, but i want to drive and tread while i'm at it.

The 'C' option was going to be reverse lights , but I decided against it. Does anyone see it as damage this time around for GT5 and the paint on the next GT? Whether it be a Gran Turismo 6 or another Prologue.

Custom paint, ricey? I'm not talking flaming stripes and stare at me I am clearly a chick car driver stars and Betty Boop's paint jobs . I'm more on the lines of painting a R32 Skyline GT-R in orange let's say as that isn't a color it was produced in. Or taking a EVO IX and painting it a green/blueish hue. If the paint idea breeds, stripes, stars, and other ungodly ugly 'rice' ideas then we should do without it. It would surely take away from GT and yea, I wouldn't be up for racing rainbow colored PT Cruisers and Focus's :sly:.

I chose Skid Marks/Damage. But custom paint/colours would be nice if you were able to send your skins to friends or GTPlanet members to make credible looking teams.

I voted skid marks and damage easy. With exterior body parts now customizable, I would no longer need custom paint/livery, mainly because I cared more about the body parts rather than color and graphics. Now that they have it, paints/liveries will just be a plus for me, and nothing more. Skid marks/damage should definitely be the priority over custom paint/liveries in my opinion, as they will bring the game to life more than paints and graphics.
