Who else hates the Cape Ring?

I found I like Cape Ring Periphery the best since the lambo seasonals. Going at the track in reverse is a different challenge and I've found it's been good at upsetting my cars handling settings.

I hate the FULL ring, but I actually enjoy every single variant, just not the full thing. The damn thing is just two weird. Ya can't get a rhythm going. The most enjoyable is the Periphery.

The ring would be an okay concept piece if it was a smaller scale track, the runs are just too long and the corners too wide and sweeping, the track surface is smooth everywhere. Add in a few rough spots with some vibration, narrow the track a little more in spots, and condense the overall the size and it would have been a better track. I get the feeling it was a Nurburgring equivalent for the noobs by its design.

I like the cape ring course. I enjoy the ring and often catch the slower AI on it. I don't mind the jump, all it takes is some braking and remembering to set up the jump on the right side and brake at the bottom so you don't skid through the grass. I wish all of the tracks that were in previous GT Series would be included in this one.

Personally I love this course, especially the ring itself. It's a fun, high-speed ring that is fun when driving the Ferrari F1 cars. But, like others have said, the track has some annoying sections that can get most drivers (like me) agitated.

Sometimes, it's not about the location, but the people you're there with. I've had some great races on the Cape Ring online, but I don't like the jump. In fact I don't like any of the jumps - the flight and landing of cars on all of these appears very unrealistic to my eyes.

Actually not a bad track. It's actually got a fair amount of technical difficulty to it. Just all in the wrong places. Also the Ai doesn't help with it's lack of competitiveness. The AI is not good in handling "change". Change in direction, change in velocity.

I guess the only upside to this track is that you can get some BIG AIR in your car and take pictures to post on GTPlanet forums.:D
I hate this track.:grumpy:

I've had some very exciting races on that track. Here's an online race. 450pp w/ racing soft tires. I got punted in the first series of esses and worked my way back to the front for a last second win.

I like it, fun track. Tests load shifting in quick left-right-left transitions, and load shifting in elevation changes, and the big left-hander shortly after the start (can't recall exactly which config has this) with all the grass on the outside is a great place to find if your car understeers or not... Could do without the loop and jump section though, does seem a bit arcadey.

I love Cape Ring! Not only is the track itself set in a gorgeous location but I'm also very good at it (I can smoke most people on it, easily).

I just thought I'd update and say that I no longer hate Cape Ring..its a blast online.

Don't like it. The corkscrew was a unique and fun design idea, but the rest of the course feels like a bunch of track sections pasted together at the last minute, and the scenery is extremely bland.

The North, South, and Inside variations are pretty good though, I think.

I also dislike most of the original/fantasy tracks with their fake and unrealistic turns and elevation changes.
GT's Original tracks should become more realistic and inspiring than all of the actual ones. I hope PD will never bring back the old original tracks. I know fantasy tracks are a big part of the GT franchise but they need to improve them.

SSR 7 is a very cool track : )

I really dont like the long variation of Cape Ring. Its just way twisty and slow. It has no rhythm to it. The corkscrew or whatever its called is ok. The other shorter variations are much more likeable.
