Will you be exclusively "premium" in GT6?

I tell all the ladies that I'm 100% premium, exclusively, 24/7. Wouldn't have it any other way, know what I'm saying'?

Most of my favorites were standards in GT5, I will of course drive them in GT6. I really enjoy the DTM cars on Nurburgring as well as several of the JGTC models and lots of production models

There are more fun standard cars than premium. Just because they look bad doesn't mean they don't drive well. I use more standard cars in GT5 than premium. Bring on the PS2 cars I say!

There are some standards that have real interior views, I enjoyed using them. I think I will keep doing so in GT6.

I never cared with 5, I don't see that changing in 6. If it's a car I want to drive, I drive it. Do the Premiums look better? Undoubtedly. But compared to my Pole Position and Excitebike days, Standards are gorgeous.

Only standards I used in gt5 were the ones that look acceptable...which was few, and mainly only classics and rally. For some reason the usually looked the most "OK" to me. It really depends on the texture and lighting quality of them in gt6. Lack of interiors I can handle

A good car to drive is a good car to drive. Period.
Considering less than half use the cockpit view, "premium v standard" is a silly exercise primarily pushed by folks who find anything and everything to complain about. They should be on Turn10's payroll for all their trolling efforts.
Thanks Dad for telling me how I think and feel because I prefer cars modeled to the highest standards.:dunce:👎

Too many awesome cars were standards in GT5.

If they're still "standard" I'll still use them regardless.

Gotta get my JDM fix :)

Most of my favourite cars in GT5 are standard cars.
I have no idea why PD didn't make a premium "BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 (Long tail with FINA livery, #42 car)" in the first place. :odd: They have already made a premium road car, why not put some more effort to upgrade that beauty to premium level? At least to clear up the blurry livery for god sake! :ouch:

Unless the DeLorean is made Premium, I'm stuck with standards, oh how I love that car over every single other car in the game, don't judge me.

In GT5 I collected standard cars but I used premium cars 99% of the time. Although the categorization is gone I believe I will do the same in GT6. The interior view has simply become a must for me and I'm not a fan of PS2 textures in full HD.

The only problem is that I don't get to drive cars such as the Supra RZ. By the way, how can that car still be a standard? It has topped every premium car wish list. PD is very weird sometimes.

Um mainly premiums, to those with this almost absolutist attitude on the matter "if you love cars you shouldn't care". The opposite could easily be said, since the subject isn't black and white and there is much debate. I will mainly use premiums if they haven't changed too much since GT5. Along with the jagged wheel wells and patchy textures, no real cockpits then shadow box interiors as place holders, the already nagging issue with sounds, wheel modifications that look better model/texture wise than the entire car...blah blah blah. As a car enthusiast it's hard for me to drive a car when all that nags at me along with issues that all the cars face despite designation. As a car lover for such a long time, why would I want to knowing that some that isn't a port is better modeled and available for me to drive and gives more immersion. Now there are a few standout standards like the 2J and Toyota 7 and others that I loved, but that is a handful.

I’ll be running premiums still because I drive from the cockpit like a driver should, I do enjoy the standard cars but they've lost their luster. In turn if the standard cars have a meaningful cockpit then I’ll run those as well.

Seeing that the vast majority are standard it woukd be hard to not use them. And to be honest (apart from cockpit cam users), what are you going to gain by not using them, a cookie, immense satisfaction by standing against the repressive rulers, epeen size...

I won't be exclusively "premium," but I'll be pretty close to being so. In GT5 I almost always used premium cars, unless there were events where I didn't have a suitable premium car and had to use a standard one. As for just messing around in time trial, single race and online, I very rarely use standard cars. Other than the Veyron recently when I was testing it compared to the McLaren F1, I can't remember the last time I drove a standard for fun. It's hard to play a PS3 game while driving a PS2 car, especially if you like using cockpit view.

Exclusively cockpit view driver here. Unless the game forces me to drive standards to get through career (again), I won't be.

Not a chance,I wasn't in GT5 and I won't be here either,I love cars so why restrict myself?:)

Still don't understand how not wanting to drive poorly implemented ported cars because they don't represent them well show a non-love or restriction? Realistically people who stick to the 300+ or whatever number is akin to those who also play FM and those players I'm pretty sure are car lovers.

It'd be nice to get more info and see the cars through and through to actually understand what they'll be like. At this point it's is reminiscent of pre-GT5 release and only getting words and not much visuals (if any) on the standards)

I rarely used Premiums in GT5, probably less than 15% of my overall driving time. There just weren't many interesting Premiums in my opinion and it seems like it's going to be the same with GT6 for me.

I buy a car on face value not based on whether it's premium or standard, and I tend to play all my games to the full,I also own all fm games aswell though the XB1 I must say does not impress me.

No where in what you quoted do I indicate that I'm buying it only because it's premium but due to the lack of actual updating done to the standards that just make them look like HD PS2 version. I have tons of favorite cars that are standard but I can't fully enjoy them through a shadow box or a roof cam that shows jagged edges and doesn't seem natural. It has nothing to do with being premium or standard but rather one being half-arsed and the other being far more realistic and immersed.

As for the XB1 I don't want one either, not sure where this came from.

The first time I played through GT5, I used any of the cars. After going through it, I played FM4 and Horizon for a while, and loved that all the cars had a cockpit view. I still play GT5, but when I do now, it's either with a premium car, or one of the 13 standard open cars that have a cockpit view (Pescarolos, 2J, etc.) I have to have a cockpit now, even if the gauges don't work. I kinda wish they had kept some sort of indication as to whether a car has a cockpit view, or a blacked out interior, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Most of you probably won't even tell the difference between standard and premium cars, GT6's standards will probably look like premiums with standard cockpit views, unless you use cockpit view you won't really feel the "standardness" when playing GT6.

Well that's the point isn't it, if they have in fact updated as they said (and it looks somewhat like it) then this question shouldn't be needed. I myself have said if it has been updated beyond what we saw in GT5 I will most likely drive them more.
