I may be joining this event at around 9:30pm GMT tonight, sound like you guys have been having a good time. I'm looking forward to finally racing with some of the GTP. đź‘Ť.

Driving standards being at an all time low? I agree :ouch:. I think myself to be lucky as I seem to always avoid punters :dopey:, *knock on wood* even through these years I've always had good Prologue online experiences.

Today began with me getting bullied by two Japanese 'drifters' and they had fun forming a rolling road block in the 350z event at Suzuka :grumpy:. What's worse though is that I set a new personal best yesterday, punted 14 times in 10 laps of Suzuka .. I was fuming!

P.S. I apologise in advance, I have been having some connection problems recently and have been experiencing lag spikes đź‘Ž, I'll try to be extra careful.

Ok, I am seriously tired of the ramming penalties in this event. People keep trying to pass on the inside, hit me in the front fender, and then I get a 5 second penalty. :grumpy: Is this being a problem for anyone else?

Generally, penalties are only given if your wheel is being turned. Besides that, one needs to learn when to let someone pass, and how to prevent the opponent from getting to the inside.

Alright, point taken. However, usually when this happens they partially cut through the grass, and I have no idea that they are even there. I guess there isn't much I can do, except drive faster and stay out of the way :D.

And Spiran, don't worry about it if you lag. You'll still probably drive better than some people out there .

Yes but the penalty is still obviously flawed. As mentioned earlier, even the slightest contact during a clean pass can result in the 5 sec penalty. Sometimes

I have to say in this race he behaved like a gentleman, in the next he hit me as always.
By the way, someone hits me from behind at the first corner in every race, I need to learn how avoid that accident.

Push the brakes earlierÂ… if you are sure that you are going to be hit from behind, and never trust SiegmundÂ…:D

Not looking so good for Fuji as more punters step up their game and have now joined Expert mode to give us grief it seems.

I cant seem to help being polite:crazy: and not wanting to push someone off their line causing them to spin out and lose 5 places. This has made me wonder how to approach another car to make my pass at the same time thinking is he going to be a Muppet and give me a good wallopp:scared: The only thing to do is hope for the best and think that the other driver will want a clean:tup: close:tup: race.đź‘Ť

That's all you can do and just hope you have a good memory and wait for another shot at the punters. I have 1 very much in the front of my mind I'll be watching for.

Actually when it happened to me it was with GTP_ers, but they apologized immediately and I felt it was just a racing incident and in future I would have to close the door earlier, or give more room.

As long as a grid is quite full, the punters don't matter as much if I can have some close racing with some cars that race đź‘Ť :)

Well put brother.đź‘Ť How I deal with it is just to keep my lines as much as possible, and anticipate there moves as best as I can. I won't slow down unless it is the only way to avoid a wreck. If I bumped them, I will wait for them. It seems the only way that they will learn to drive clean. Punters or not, I will always try my best to send them an appology PM. This works 90% of the times. The next time they race against me, most of them will show the same courtesy. It's the only solution that I have right now. On the other hand, when I retaliate the next race that they are in I can guaranteed that they will get worse. Just my $.02

The only solution to this problem is private rooms, one more reason to wait for GT5…

So, every time you have an incident that is one less friend? The world is only so big.

Private rooms should be most useful for tournament, or league racing.

For example, Siegmund is fast, he'd be a good friend if not for his driving inconsistency.

Why not a private room for GT5P? Is it too much to ask from PD on Sony?:banghead: PLEASE HAVE AN UPDATE WHERE PRIVATE ROOM IS AVAILABLE. I'll have all the patient in the world to wait for GT5 if they'll just give us that.

Great race LACKO:tup:
Really pleasure to drive with guality drivers like you.
Bumper to bumper for 5 laps and not even one bump:cheers:

True, but are we allowed to force them to understand? đź’ˇ But seriously, I guess we just have to anticipate their moves the best we can. Private rooms will be here someday...

In my opinion there are three categories of punters:

Those who are bad drivers and push you out off the track not on purpose, just because they canÂ’t avoid doing this. In the most cases they even donÂ’t feel any guilt, just because this is a game and they want to have funÂ… (The less they are the better đź‘Ť- but, hey, they are still human and they do have rights)

Also there are those who consider that this is more than a game and they do try to be fair, polite and accurate on the track but they still can be punters from time to time:indiff:, just because this happens when you desperately want to winÂ… Its inevitability! At least you can see an excuse in your mailbox coming from themÂ…

And finally there are some non human racers :scared:(skilled or not) who consider that track is a big Coliseum where killing the opponents is a must! I am sure they whish that Kazunori Yamauchi will incorporate rocket launchers in the new GT5Â… (They often turn me into a bloodthirsty, murderous and sadistic  monster looking just for revenge)

Please donÂ’t take this seriously :D I just wanted to give a humorous tone!

(I am sorry for the off-topic and my bad English)

Great race Lacko, last night, behind you I did 1:37.6. I was losing more than a second per lap, but thanks to the magic slipstream you couldn't escape.

I like this online system, thanks to it I have the opportunity to meet many people, that otherwise would be impossible to know. Private rooms are well if you just want to race with your friends, but if you don't have many friends... that happened to me in the SSC, everybody used the private rooms and public rooms were empty.

I was thinking more or less for organize races, events, etc. Liz. If you need someone to race with, just PM any of us. I'm sure we will welcome you with open arms.

Only raced a couple last nite. Habs lost :ouch:

New apparent punter I met was fastfreddy01 US in a GTR who would bash me off on the finish straight for 4 laps; of course eventually he missed a corner and I passed him for first. :)

Note, could care less where I finish, as long as the racing is close and punt free đź‘Ť:)

Could I join ?:)
(although I'm not too fast - 1.39.989 best in clear air :/ )

Yesterday we had a race which ended
siegie14 (as in siegmund)
Sinibomb
me
LizMcQuin

siegie is fast this time but he is still an idi*t and a racist (I hope he is reading this) - I finished 3rd never even saw him in this race (about 7s behind him) despite that he sent me a PM saying "polaken sau" - meaning something like polish pig - just like that... o_O

It was pleasure for me too mate. đź‘Ť If the guy with EVO X tuned didn't hold us up we could have run low 8'13 instead of 8'14.5xx.
I found again 0.2 sec in time trial with some mistake. I hope I could run 1'37.5xx with my Clio.

Maybe that is his/her biggest thrill is reading about his 'exploits' on GTPlanet?

Of course, how often do you think punters change their psn tag?

Think I'll switch to the 'Level Playing Field' race, as I am lucky to break into the 1:39's

Anytime my friend. My screen name is Solarr-GTLMsquad. I haven't had many opportunity to race recently, but Thursday is my day off and pretty much on it all day long. PM me and we'll go. Looking forward to it man.

Had several races this evening, most were good, some were really bad filled with siegmunds and other idiots...

Its such a shame these guys are there so often, ruining everything all the times...

But this siegmund guy has to be the worst i ever seen...and reading here that he is sending people racist pm's is really sick...isn't there something we can do about this?can we report him officially? somewere?...

spy.

Private rooms are good for a number of reasons. The reason I like them, is in an open room if you get someone that starts punting people around you can kick them out. They may find their way back, but you can kick them out again. :sly:

As for this race, I may be on for a few races tonight after Mythbusters is over.
