Thanks for the invite Nizmo. Looking forward to some good racing :) I really like this idea of the 'FIA of Gran Turismo'. I gotta get my applications into some series' :D

If you guys are running anything GT300, I'm in to win! I just recently found out there is only 1 GT300 series going on on the GTPlanet that I can find. And even-tho it is being run properly we still have to share the grid with GT500 cars so,.. yea. Anyways if you run a GT300 event count me in, and maybe raising the hp to 350hp would makle better too?

FFS MEL! you're currently running ITCC at 2030 GMT :banghead: This looks cool, just that even 4 series was getting daunting for me. Especially as I had a plan to run... ooh secrets, secrets. I may join, just a bit overwhelmed by how many series there are....

As Nizmo mentioned, we're just adding a central point, from which the drivers can find the series, in which they want to participate. Participation, especially in your case, in more than [x] number of series is not necessary, and is entirely optional.

Listen, right: The F.I.A. doesn't say to its F1 drivers "Hey, guys, you're also going to run in this kart series, in Canada, (ASN FIA) which takes place at the exact time of the F1 races. You'd have to split the drivers in two.

While we will schedule our events, to avoid conflicts with other major series on GTPlanet, I can say that the spots are open, but you don't have to join every series.

While some races will be 2+ hours, there are also some which are over and done with in twenty-fourty minutes, like Star Mazda. :)

In your case, you don't even have to start in the FIAT Trophy or such, to build a reputation as a clean driver, because you're in the ITCC and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, which, despite being governed by the W.M.A., will remain completely unchanged.

Hmmm, interesting, that you say that: I'm definitely considering it. We would run both classes combined, too, just to go with the multi-class thing, unless there are more than 16 drivers in the series... :D

However, should this happen, there would be further discussion between the Co-chairmen, discussing whether or not to split GT300/GT500 into two different races, or run as one BIG race.

The SuperGT thing is a serious contender for a top flight series ... but to make things interesting, I would split the GT500/GT300 into different series' ... but if anybody feels that they can take responsibility for this proposed series, then please, feel free to put pen to paper and contact the Board Members ...

I just got a thought that maybe we should setup a Race Stewards Council to oversee the stewarding of the different series ...

I'm in for Council. :)

As for the SuperGT thing, sweet! I guess, I'll get enough multi-class racing in, in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

I had an idea for a Championship series. One make races for Rising Stars using completely stock Caterham Sevens, possibly as a feeder to a Pro Modified Super Seven Series(one step at a time though). I'm sure everyone here has driven the Super Seven. Super fun car yet challenging. 👍 I've never ran a series before but have been interested. This could be my place to start. :)

Good idea? Bad idea? Let me know what you think.

So all we have to do is ask to be in the council? IM IN! I'd Really like to organize a super gt series... Sounds like fun!

I also have some ideas.... Possibly a gt3 championship?

I would however be hesitant to add CTSCC and Rolex to this roster, they are kinda their own thing in real life... Not sure how they'd fit in...

But I would totally help out in a few of these series!

If you'll permit me.. Then I'm volunteering :)

I'm thinking if people know the GT300/500 series is split they'll go to the more filled class, or were their buddies might be. While individual GT300 Classs may show more entries?

Polar ... as I've mentioned before, nobody will run your series or tell you how to run it just because you've decided to associate them with W.M.A. This is a form of Governing Body for the series listed ... a FIA if you will ...

I want to get rid of the misconception that all these series are related and that one goes hand in hand with each other ... all the drivers that have showed interest in this so far, have raced with each other at one point or another ... just because, for example, I haven't raced with Rally before, doesn't mean that I have to prove myself for his Rally Championship. Only the guys that we never heard of before have to prove themselves ...
The Board Members have no say in any one elses Series. By associating Rolex or Conti with W.M.A., still makes them YOUR series, but with the added benifit of being santioned by W.M.A. so the other guys know its clean and fair, and not an open lobby type series ... but the choice still remain with you about association ...

Sorry for the double post
The Steward Council will definitely be discussed due to interest shown, Thanks Polar & Rally ...
kk ... if that means you joining us then welcome ...
Polar & Joe, GT300 Series sounds better due to it not being popular so far, GT500 has been done to death, but I won't exclude it ...

I got an idea yesterday that I want to put out there ... SPA 24HRS ... an annual event that we could do ... it won't be 24hrs tho, but maybe around 2-4hrs ... haven't figured out the cars yet ... feedback?

Should I be honest, I'd rather see a Nurb enduro.. But when/if I get the DLC, I'm in 👍

Slightly off-topic:
I'm running a Series of classic GT enduros and I was wondering if the W.M.A. would want a share or two?

Nurb is being done to death. Don't get me wrong, I love Nurb. Well I did atleast. Nurb on GT Online is like the lastest song on the radio. It's freakn awesome when you first hear it, but after two months of solid airplay constantly, the song gets irritating. Everything online is always at the Nurb. Irrespective which layout. I know the Nurb is the ultimate test of man & machine, but come on, how about a change for once? ... lol ... sorry for the rant ...
Your Classic GT Enduro ... more info please :)?

In the end, you decide, just my 2 cents :)
Currently I'm just about ready to start a Grand Valley 300 km enduro, next up is probably a Trial Mountain enduro :)

NizmoDr3
What cars are you going to be running?

The Grand Valley has a thread in the Spot Races (sorry that I can't link but I'm on app), and the cars for the next is undecided :)

First of all, I'd like to give a BIG welcome to the latest who have signed up ...

I hope you guys enjoy your stay and have fun with some good, clean and fair racing. 👍

This weekend was some of the best racing action I was involved in. Friday night, something came up, so there was no VLN or Conti for me. Saturday night consisted of ITCC and my first race in Rolex via invitation. I'm quite pleases with my 4th in class with the Ferrari outfit. I had fun guys and I hope I can come back next week.
And last but not least was Bankfin's second Official Test Session. Things are coming along nicely and I can't wait for preseason to start.

Sleep, sleep and more sleep ... if I've had 10hrs sleep this weekend it's been too much ...
Depending on what time you want to run the test I might make it ... just let me know
