If you use SwapMagic CD, your CD Rip must have the same LBA that the original DVD of Prologue. You need the following tools :
- "Isobuster" to read the original LBA of the DVD
- "Sony CD_DVD Rom Generator" to build a project including the RIP files with the same LBA, and export it to a iml file.
- "Iml2iso" to make a iso file with the iml file.

And put all the working files in the same directory.

Ok great news for my first problem, i fixed the chipped ps2 i had on the floor, took me all but 15 minutes. The cable from one of the boards to the buttons for open/close and on/off was all ruined. I had to cut it, then use my pocket knife to scrape off the layer of material over the strips of wire, then bent it and slid it in, then i was a happy person. Actually i was shocked at how easy it was to pull the thing entirely apart and put it back together.

Okay so now i have the chipped ps2, now all i need is a dvd drive, might have to do abit of searching on this subject but im keeping my hopes up coz i really want to play these tracks.

Is there possibly someone in Australia, or anyone really who can send me the needed rip on cdr??? If i cant find a dvd drive that is.

I burnt it onto a CD-R and it gets to the loading screen with all the copyright information and then freezes. This happen to anyone else?

Solved! The first time I used Nero and burnt it as a DVD image and not CD image (I use HDLoader) but when I did it correct (CD, Mode2/XA) it works.

Greatway to read the topic and at least some of the thread. Its not about the replays from the game, its about playing the tracks on you PS2 not vids on a comupter.

When I try patching the NTSC Korean version of GT4 Prologue, whenever I load it boots ok, but hangs/freezes at the opening Credits Display. Is this because of an incorrect DVD patch?

I got the same problem and the error I made was that I created a DVD image with Nero insted of a CD Mode2/XA image.

I don't even have a DVD burner so DVD isn't even an option in Nero.
It works when I burn the PAL version, but it doens't work (hangs) when I burn the NTSC Korean version.

I have an idea that try to mess around the car files in lod and menu folder
so you can have the same effect as using AR Max
or even try to put BMW 120 into the game
but we need that from Amar .... hope he can give us some help

For you, no patch and no dummies, just replace the crs files.
But if you use swapmagic you must make a rip with the same LBA than the original one.

Another question, do you have a R rating on games in the UK, as we dont here in australia and there a big stink about manhunt atm so unfortunately it looks like we will end up with a cut version of SA. Reaosn i ask is my bro is in london for the next year, and if you guys have the uncut version of SA ill get him to ship me a copy over.

Also there is suppose to be a GTA: SA official trailer released at the end of this week so keep an eye out.

Normaly I can download stuff at 165 kb per second, but the Sears Point downloaded at 34kb per second. Then, Capri was only 7 kb per second, and I thought something might be wrong, so I did Sears Point a second time, and it would download at 4 kb per second only. Anybody having the same problem? Got a reason why this is happening?

Actually i think it would be a worthwhile test. I checked the back of my games and they dont have region restrictions. Our DVD region is 4, but i dont think it counts with games. I am trying to find out as soon as i can coz i have to pre order it either way so have to make a decision, lol. Thanks mate.
