Realistic duration mode, sounds interesting, does this mean longer stages, surely not ? Perhaps more stages per day ?Xbox achievement list:
WRC 10 Achievements
Here is the full list of all 46 WRC 10 achievements worth 1,000 gamerscore. It takes around 20-25 hours to unlock all of the achievements on Xbox One.www.trueachievements.com
Couple of mentions of things I haven't read about yet, firstly the "realistic duration mode". And secondly judging by one kf the achievements, it looks like we'll be able to cross mount tyres at last.
More stages per day would make the most sense. Given that WRC9/8 had a max of 6 stages per rally in career mode, and real life can have upwards of 12, I hope its that. Especially as some countries in WRC9 had 10-12 stages.Realistic duration mode, sounds interesting, does this mean longer stages, surely not ? Perhaps more stages pretty day ?
Yes I'd be up for more stages per day/rally.More stages per day would make the most sense. Given that WRC9/8 had a max of 6 stages per rally in career mode, and real life can have upwards of 12, I hope its that. Especially as some countries in WRC9 had 10-12 stages.
It depends what you are looking for.I've definitely said this before on here somewhere, but the difference between 8 and 9 is like night and day. 9 was such a step forward for the series, and easily equals DR2 for me. It's also worth noting that WRC's tarmac physics are light years ahead of DR2, and WRC 10 has 7 tarmac locations...
I wouldn't say it's a lot better. They probably on a par if anything. WRC has the stages, the career mode, superior tarmac physics, better weather effects. DR2 probably on a par with the gravel physics, has the car list, better online events, and overall better graphics presentation. It depends what you are looking for.
DR2 is atm a lot better than WRC.
Beside the driving which everyone has discussed for years.
There are also technical points in which DR2 is better. Most important is the VR support also better support for devices (wheel, handbrake, ...).
In game e.g. FoV settings incl. correct seat movement options and the good modeled cockpits. Im really liking the classic cars and the sound.
Multiplayer in DR2 is really active with a lot of daily, weekly, monthly events and a lot of clubs also with weekly and monthly events.
As with either semi-sim rally game today (WRCs or the DiRT Rallies), and in Richard Burns Rally too (the best and only sim to date), I believe the #1 factor to be concentration. Rally is an intense sport, and whether you are "simming" in RBR, or "simcading" in WRC or DR, you must be mentally strong and focused for 3 to 12 minutes, depending on the stage. Rally is a different beast compared to road racing, and if you approach these as "games" you will have a tough run through them.So what's it take to be fast at this game?
If it follows WRC9 then there won't be a season mode for the classics but they will be usable in free play and come up in the weekly events. The season mode in WRC9 is career mode without the management stuff so I can't see that being any different for 10.I'm really hoping that the historic and bonus cars can be used in Season mode, or at least in some kind of custom events or championships. It was really frustrating that the cars outside of WRC/2/3/Jnr weren't able to be used outside of quick stage or online, especially as some of them like the R-GT and R5 cars are eligible in the real events.
Also wondering about the lack of Fiesta Rally3, I know the category isn't fully implemented yet but the cars are already being used in FIA events (such as in Kenya) and the car was used in WRC 9 for Rally Star. Hoping it will be among the update additions.
Does anyone know if the historical events are full rallies? I'd be gutted if they turned out to be just one stage each.
The ascona is in dirt4 im pretty sure, just got it and it seems a pretty nice sim style game to me, if set all for it, for all the negative around it, you can tweek the setups and feel it well to make it more to your liking. The external sounds are insane too hehe, i love good engine/exhaust sounds. Especially when you turn the cam to the front looking back, hearing the engine bay is awesome. Anyhow, just meant to say about the car, as i noticed some cars are different as well from dr1, dirt4 and dr2, like the old quattros.I don't remember when and where but I read that Kylotonn aim to have all WRC winning cars before lost rights to Codemasters.
Looking to the car list I miss:
Abarth 131 (Markku Alen & Walter Röhrl)
Escort RS1800 (Björn Waldegard & Ari Vatanen)
Opel Ascona (Walter Röhrl)
206 WRC (Marcus Grönholm)
Impreza WRC (Richard Burns & Petter Solberg)
C4 WRC (Sébastien Loeb)
If they add some DLC probably will be any of that.
Also they can add the new i20N Rally2 that recently debuted.
Abarth 124 R-GT and Alpine A110 R-GT at bonus cars to compete against the Porsche on asphalt rallies it would be awesome.
I played the demo a few months back and can say for sure it has ultrawide resolution support and plenty of FoV adjustment to get the in car view where you want it. I don't remember the specifics of the FFB settings and didn't try to attach peripherals separately. My pedals and shifter were connected through my wheelbase.I'm waiting for the first influencer videos ... in a few days the game comes out on steam but absolutely no information.
What's about:
- FoV settings - seat movement
- wide screen support 21:9 / 32:9
- multi input peripheral support (wheel, pedals, handbrake)
- meaningful ffb settings
- physics thread bound to a multiple of 60 fps?
WRC 9 already has support that I can confirm for four from that list (the only one I'm not sure of is 21:9 / 32:9 widescreen support) it's unlikely that WRC 10 will remove them. Certainly, the WRC 10 demo supported those options.I'm waiting for the first influencer videos ... in a few days the game comes out on steam but absolutely no information.

Digital, too. 7 Sept. Only Deluxe gives an early unlock. I saw Amazon physical even for end of Sept! The WRC games always come out later in North America. This trend goes all the way back to the Evolution Studios WRC titles.European players are lucky, US players to my understanding have to wait until the 7th to get our physical copies at least.
That's much more than I expected.Next gen version weighs in at just under 33gb on the pre install.
Pre-Order situation for PC is the same as for PS and XBOX. Link for Pre-Order on the publisher website: https://wrcthegame.com/On the plus side, PC means I don't have to (and cannot) pre-order, so I'll have a window of time to read first thoughts here.
That's better. Pre-order-exclusive cars are scummy. The way things go in our genre, they know they've got people by the balls.
