WRC Modern Classics S3: Season 2007

I'm a bit reassured that it is the game's mechanism that causes the problem and not something I do wrong.
But it would be more fun if this issue wasn't there. The game could be so much better with adjustment of a few details in my opinion.
Too bad, because I really enjoyed the battle this season so far.

I decided to ride Oceanea anyways under the creed: "rally is driving in all possible circumstances". We are not sissy F1 drivers 🤣🤣
All in all the grip is not super bad with the worn tyres, a bit of adjustment in driving style is needed of course. But it is doable (now that I know everyone faces this problem)

Ok, I have finished now and I can say there is definitely something wrong here.. I think it's the wet winter conditions that not provide the right grip... I struggled after putting new soft tyres on even... No grip at all!
Then I come to the last 4 dry stages... With super softs, but they last the full 27kms. While the soft are gone after 25km (on wet! Which in my opinion is less abrasive)
I hope the next rally gives less issues, because the tyre story made me lose focus and I made a lot of mistakes (including jump start 🙄)

Something is definitely not right there, even accounting for wetter/slippery conditions I can't help but feel there should be more grip than what was being offered, not to mention how quickly the tyres went off (based on my experience Softs should be good for 30km at least). It was weirdly enjoyable nonetheless, albeit cut short for me by going straight off 30 seconds into Stage 4... probably a blessing in disguise!

Weirdly enjoyable is exactly the feeling I had at times... Good description! Too bad it ended shortly tor you 🙁

Finished Spain; except for a couple of avoidable penalties it was a good run

Now, I'm gonna be sincere...........this might be the end of the championship for me In this moment I have little desire to play the game (outside of my clubs), unless the next big update bring me back said desire

If I come back it will be probably for one last round, just keep that in mind

I was intending to run the final round as a last hurrah (Chile is awesome) but a combination of rustiness and the tyre allocation (Softs and Supersofts again?!) has soured it for me. I did a 2nd shakedown run to try and get on top of the Focus but it was stubbornly misbehaving, and at the end of the run the tyres had gone worn after roughly 3 minutes of driving. 2 minutes into the first stage (twice understeering off the road + one snap powersteer clipping a corner post) was enough for me to decide that was going to be a miserable slog if I persisted...

With that said, well done @Belgianwaffle! Even though I was worn down before the end I had some very enjoyable battles.

(You may or may not be a household name after I mentioned the back-and-forth scrap we were having over the first few rounds 😆)

I have, regrettably, been very absent from this series and haven't kept up with it as well as I could. So I want to start by saying thank you to everyone who has persevered with this mammoth championship, some of the rounds have been brutally long and challenging, so well done everyone.

And of course, a massive congratulations to @Belgianwaffle for a stellar campaign, showing consistency and the ability to pick up some clutch wins when others struggle. @Dreadmed ran it close but in the end that gap was too big going into the final round.

This series will take an extended break now, we will see what Hard Chargers brings before deciding on the next season, perhaps with a slightly less brutal schedule.
