Should we do a classic 1960's style standing Le Mans start?

Jaguar only won because it had the faster drivers. 2D annihilates the others on the twisty stuff. For some reason PD made it super grippy. :odd:

yea, i remember at that 5 mile twisty targo floria it destroyed everything else, beat spurgy by like a minute or something stupid

But then as soon as we got to somewhere with a decent straight it was the other way round
And I agree with Akmuq, I think your decision to get rid of the Jag, Furi, was because most of the fast drivers were picking it, and therefore winning in it a lot.

It gets destroyed at Le Mans though.

At the same PP, the Jag is faster than the Ford/Ferrari because it starts lower for some reason. With normal PPs they're pretty even.

I always thought about if racing series had a system where the fastest of drivers were not permitted in certain cars. I wonder how that would work.

I'd say that the likes of Hamilton, Vettel or Alonso would rather quit than take a massive pay cut while racing for Marussia or Caterham.

The only prototype car I owned in that previous season was the Jag, so it was all I could use. I got the Ferrari early into the season, but didn't do anything with it due to it being harder to control (and I'm bad at setups. I already had a setup for the Jag that I'd found and had used previously). The Ford is easier to control and I didn't even need to change the setup other than LSD, aero and transmission (maybe brake balance too).

From memory, the Jag is fast in a straight line but wears it's tyres faster than the other cars. Slides are easier to control in the Jag than the other cars but will eat up the tyres.

Looks like I'll be missing for the next race as I'm going to Wiltshire again. :irked:

EDIT: I'll be there now :)

~Corvette now permitted Sports ECU and runs at 460pp. OP Adjusted accordingly.

Someone was not listening to what I had to say. Ho hum.

EDIT: Well your OP tells a slightly different story Alex. Now scratching head.

It will be touch-n-go for me to make it back in time.

WSC IV NEWS

Next seasons of the WSC promises to be a major competition with a number of rule changes. In Prototype, makes will be restricted to a maximum of 3 cars each. A new pts system will make the championship more competitive. Both classes will have to use at least two compounds of tyre per race, and the latest news is perhaps the most exciting - the addition of the Sportscar Triple Crown.

Le Mans will maintain it's status as a 3hr event, with Daytona being increased to a little over 2hrs, and 2 hours of the returning Nurburgring Nordschleife will top it off. These races will take on extra prestige and there will be extra prizes on offer for the winners of these events.

Also confirmed is that the next season will start sooner than originally planned.

The 'Ring will be a bitch and a true race of attrition, I bet.

Cars, specs?

Furi, I should have 36 points, not 37. As I mentioned before, Niop got pole at Daytona, not me.

Looking forward to Monza. Hopefully there will be a big grid.

Late edit: Just did some laps and got down to 2'00.5. What kind of laps are prototypes doing?

I might be getting home late, so that rules me out.

Well raceday, going to be a high speed battle tonight. Preview to come later.

Tonights race room may open late, got a bit of renovating to do in my bedroom....

@ 2.00.5 Sagaris has won again folks. Wonder when the penny is going to drop with Furi? Best I could get is 2:02.4

On another note I cannot make it this evening and will not be home till about 8:30
