Ryan you think that you are going to go out and win right away in a series that has gone through 6 seasons. This is naive. This will not happen. And this is a series that is about having fun. This is the most important thing. HAVE FUN!

Do not get down on yourself, I don't drive in GT-P because I can't tune mid-engined cars for ****. They are difficult to drive, especially these late 60s prototypes, and especially in the rain!

I'm making an assumption that you are a teenager, possibly you have never driven a car in real life? Again I do not mean this as an insult. There are some of us who are older and who also have experience with competitive driving in real life (I personally have no wheel-to-wheel experience (yet) but do have time trial experience) and who simply by virtue of age have done a significant amount of online racing. Some of us are naive to the etiquette of motorsports, but like I said before we all trust each other.

I think you will be a lot more comfortable in GT-O but do not expect to win here either. You did a good job in today's race until the rain came. You are a pretty good driver. You are racing against very very good drivers. I am a pretty good driver too, not great, yet I had a chance at winning today. This is endurance racing, this is WSC :)

I'm not expecting to win. I just can't stand people making me an antagonist, like a (not allowed to name or shame) or a (not allowed to name or shame).

If you think I give you a rough ride, maybe you should have my experiences over last few years. We give you advice yet it gets turned into you crying. Just listen. Damn it.

Done with this.. it's 1 25 am and I got to be up in 5 hours..

Furi you are my favorite Englishman :)

 well a game isn't much to get worked up over when you learn at 1am you may be refused payment for helping clean an entire bar in a disused nightclub on ya hands and knees all afternoon because the boss who's business you've been stuffing pockets for over 3 years buying stuff from says he doesn't believe I did it and he can't afford to pay me... so a video game debate really means 🤬 all to me in grand scheme of things...

I'm not crying. This is how I feel. And I thought I said "please".

Here's my race report :)

First quali: It went as I expected. Guys front of me were 1s or more faster and guys behind maybe 1s slower or more.

Race: Start went ok. I noticed at once that I couldn't keep up guys front of me so I just run my own lonely pace - actually whole race was lonely - no racing anybody (my own class) for position. Started at 4th finished at 4th.
Only one incidents with GT-O car (or I didn't noticed any one else) - few close calls. Incedent was on my lap 16 with @CAMikaze . I don't know what went wrong (watched replay few time and we both got some sliding and ours driving lane mixed) but we contact and I got little damaged on my left front tire and luckily that didn't affect my driving too much so I managed to continue race without pitstop. Hopefully CAMikaze you didn't got damaged and I really sorry for contact :(

Pitstops: 1st on lap 24 when surface wet was already 50% I went to the pit, set fuel (70l) and klick OK. When I exit from the pit I noticed I was still on SS - ah not again. Went to the pit again on lap 25 (wet was now 86%) and put wet tires on.

Blue flag(with same class cars): This is only thing that's bother me. In race there was few times that this happened to me (no names here I think drivers know who). If faster driver got behind you and he/she is lapping you. You have couple of corners time to give him/her place were lapping is done safely so that both of you don't lose much time.
Take a look GTPlanet OnLine Racing (OLR) Rules & Guidelines (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gtplanet-online-racing-olr-rules-guidelines.111241/) and 10: Defensive Driving and C-block. It shouldn't be too hard to do both drivers.

Finally: @ranhammerR34 you have come much better driver. Lapping you has been fine with you in these two races. I feel much more trusting you when lapping. Good going 👍

Had a good start with getting pole on a 2:17.696, which was a PB for me at Silverstone. I had tried a new setup earlier in the day and found that it was probably about 3 or 4 tenths or so faster than the mostly stock setup I had used before. Was able to accelerate very early out of the tight turns which helped a lot with the laptime. It was all over in turn 1/2 though. First I heard the excited shouts of some of the GT-P drivers, then saw some smoke, a car off to the left, another car spinning on the right and one seemingly undecided which way it would go as the driver tried to catch its back weaving left and right. Well, eventually we both went the same direction and my race was basically done.

Took me a while after the pitstop, but then settled into a good rhythm without too many mistakes. Unfortunately, then the rain hit and it rendered my car pretty much undriveable. It started getting twitchy very early, at below 10%, and although I think I changed tyres at the right time and didn't have to come in again until the end, my pace was average at best. I don't know, if it was the setup-changes that did it, as I hadn't done ANY running in the wet in testing, but maybe the harder suspension settings and LSD changes were not suited too well for the rain. I think I did most in the 2:42-2:44 range, spun twice without hitting anything and without losing too much time, but there probably wasn't more in it for me this Sunday. FrasierCrane was too far ahead after the start and Lout's Mustang seemed to be getting on much better with the conditions and he managed it perfectly coming from behind. Congrats on that win!

IRL at least you want a softer car all round in the wet, especially at the rear (want to induce some understeer).

Right. And regarding diff, I guess you would rather close it for wet conditions than open it, correct?

(Both being the opposite of the setup changes I had done)

Depends, having a more closed diff can make the car snap more if you apply too much power whereas it would be spun away on the inside wheel with an open setting (hopefully, if you're spinning the outside you've got problems). However having a more closed diff will give better drive (and slightly more push) on exits. Having said that sudden loss of traction on the inside wheel can make the car snap as well, and very unpredictable.

The thing to do is test in the wet and experiment. But definitely soften the anti roll bars, and then try softening damper and spring rate. An LSD that's good in the dry might be fine in the wet, too open can be poor in the wet as can too closed, so there's no real consensus on what to do with it.

:indiff:

Sorry for not turning up, decided to watch Barca V Madrid and wasn't disappointed, I weren't feeling confident being 4 seconds off the pace and struggling to keep the car on track, car probably would of been worse in the wet

Sorry boys, I was watching El Classico.

I have a small TV next to my LCD which I only use when I want to watch/follow something while on the PS3... so last night I was listening to the game as we were racing...

EDIT: As for my Fezza, I hope my poor driving yesterday came from the car not being suited to track rather than the wet, otherwise I have no chance of fighting for the title... although the car did handle ok in Daytona in the wet, at least before the downpour (taking into account I didn't have Racing Wet tyres)

Anyone got base laps for Monza? I'd guess approx 1:42 for the Shelby's.
I think I did a 1:36 when we had a quick go after Silverstone, unless I'm remembering wrong again. I was getting 188-189mph before Curva Grande, and was down on power after Silverstone. My Daytona gearing seemed perfect for it.
