Private Rooms... that would really be a dream come true!
We know they will be present in GT5 but if they anticipated them with a Prologue update ... wow!

I would love it to be true. Personally i've never understood why we never had the option for private rooms in the first place.

Obviously I could be wrong but I would be surprised if PD launched GT5 without testing some of the features on the community. Normally in betas its the community that find bugs/glitches rather than the developer themselves. The main reason being is due to the larger numbers testing the game.

Private rooms? WOOOOW it seems like we will get something that other games have ages ago...

Prologue updates? they can test online features till the release? It sounds like GT5 will come 2015...

I've played many beta demos when the release date of the actual game has only been a few months away. If GT5P is updated this doesn't mean the release date of GT5 will be even further away, quiet the opposite infact!

Before the release of the last full GT game (GT4), there wasn't many racing games out there with private rooms... And private rooms have been confirmed for GT5 for quite a long time now. Also, you must consider the fact that some other racing games around today still don't have the immense features or content that GT has had since 1997. Go figure.

Prologue updates? they can test online features till the release? It sounds like GT5 will come 2015...

Maybe they want to add damage and update the physics to get feedback from their fanbase. A prologue update only means good things. Oh and you are forgetting, if updating prologue is already part of their production schedule, then it will not affect the release date at all.

The marketing boys at Sony will have their own deadlines set later in the year (Though we don't know exactly when, because we have no release date), so not updating prologue won't bring forward the release if they're already planning on it. And by the sounds of it, they have always planned on updating prologue again before the final release. KY said in an interview sometime last year that they would eventually add damage to Prologue, we may yet get it.

Yeah, I'm cheering for that.

I know that everyone is pissed and want the game as soon as possible, but it's hard to believe that we will see the game before late November or December, also I don't believe that an update to GT5P would help to delay the development even more.

On the downside, updating Prologue would confirm a december release, so if they don't ( which is likely ) the chance of an earlier release still stands.

NOTE: If they announce just an update to Prologue on E3, I will laugh sooooo hard. There's nothing better to vanish the expectations for E3 than updating the so hated "gloryfied demo".

- Players will be able to smash their cars to smithereens all the way down to a single bolt during a NSCAR race (most likely in WRC as well).
* That is very cool. The way NASCAR should be, but I hope all cars have at least FM3 body style damage.. Not to mention ALL cars should have Mechanical damage, as well Internal like suspensions, brake fails, etc etc..

- His team have implemented improved body roll physics (the swaying motion when you turn left and right and most likely roll over as well)
* Roll Over FTW!!!! (during a race For the LOOSE! haha) YES!!!

- Kaz said the PS3 is the only console powerful enough to run GT5's physics and that a good PC would struggle to run it.
*I agree, I have a GOOD PC, and I can not run game as iRacing and it wont look as good as GT5 does on my 300 Dollar PS3!

- He mentioned something about efficient streaming of physics data using the PS3's Cell Processor and how it would work over the internet (meaning Online)
* The smoother the better, I remember he mentioned this once they were working on the PSP game, that they learn how to manage all the data much more efficiently

- He went in to more detail explaining that with improving Broadband speeds they are able to let more players race each other online.
* More players? So does that mean over 16 player races? Or does that mean more 16 player dedicated servers will be out there? The more the better!!! imagine a 24+ NASCAR race, or a LE MANS!!!!!

- He says that wall bouncing & spinning was a major problem in Prologue but it'll be fixed 'for sure' before GT5 releases.
* YES Finally after.. lets see, GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4, all the other GT games they made!

- He mentioned something about GT5 featuring an Auction house that will enable players to get hold of rare cars (rare cars probably means GT5 cars that are only available in other regions).
* Auction is great, I hope you sell and buy Tunned cars that have saved suspension and gear adjustments. I hope to see some small body kits models and livery editor. That would have been perfect.

- Again he has confirmed that GT5 will feature 20 Tracks.
* 20 tracks, over 70 variations. I wont complain, In GT4 I never RACED all that much anyways. It will be better for online as well, because we will learn all the 20 tracks with 70 variations much quicker; therefore better experience with other players (if they know how to drive each circuit).

- Day & Night has been confirmed but not all tracks will have it which means there'll be no dynamic Day & Night cycles (but there's still a possibility)
* Maybe its going to be DYNAMIC for only the tracks confirmed? DLC should fix it if we complain a lot about it!

- There's going to be new updates for Prologue up until GT5's release.
* That is good, as long they improve to most recent physics, maybe add damage, I will be happy. Oh and private room support with voice chat.

- There's going to be support for microphones during online play.
* I hope it has a SEPARATES button for a voice chat. I like to talk with no buttons as well, but when i have my surround sound blasted, I do not want to bother other players.

- He said that Pit crews will be fully implemented and ready in GT5 when it releases.
*ready when it releases? Maybe stuff like this was holding GT5's release date?

- The game will have region specific cars (as I said before the Auction feature is most likely there to get hold of these cars)
*Something like FM2, but you will be stuck to the region you live in, just like in real life. oh man.. getting some rare Skylines, or Rare Ferraris will be even more expensive and more rare then in previous GT games! YES! I love stuff like that, will make much more fun for CAR HUNTING

- He said GT5's release date will be coming soon.
* Soon, soon, soony.. I hope its before E3, and not just a week before, maybe this month!!!!

Updates for prologue *_* GT5 release is not close if there will be multiple updates before release of the GT5

For locations tracks it's defenitly not 20 tracks and they'r variant, it's 20 country with X track on each of them + variant(s) track inside each tracks of one country.

Ex: Germany = 3 normal tracks
fisrt track = 1 normal track + 2 variants of him. (3 tracks)
second track = 1 track without variant (1 track)
third track = 1 track + 3 variants (4 track)

Total: 8 race possibility for germany country (It's an exemple of course).

Patriotzero
I am sorry you got it that way.
I didn't want to steal, It's my fault, I should have better check the thread but I was working so that it was not possibile.
For sure, GrandDragon had to declare the source in its post.

My previous post reports:
I' ve noticed that many info were already posted in this thread.
Maybe is a confirmation if it is not coming from the same source...

so I should better change it into:

I' ve NOW noticed that ALL this info was already posted in this thread.
Unfortunately it is not a confirmation because it coming from the same source... the translation job made by Patriotzero and his japanese friend.

Thank you patriotzero and please don't stop hunting for new info because we all need them.

Call me paranoid, but i'm always worried when i hear this. If night racing in GT is SSR11, Clubman and Route 5, then i will be very angry. We had that kind of night racing on every major GT release, so it's not really news.

I know translations, hidden messages, unclear statementes, blah, blah blah, but, on the back of my head i'm very worried about it. Just like with the car count and the possible clones.

Good work Patriot, it's s shame you and your buddy decided to stop. We really enjoyed:tup:

we will translate rest of interview..This is the last day for interview.I dont think it has new info. but We ll try..

Updates for Prologue?Seems to be old interview???I remember Kaz says no more work for Prologue...
About day/night - he said before that ALL tracks will have night, now it's some tracks means SSR5...again it's not good.

Oh i forgot.BIG THANKS FOR THE TRANSLATION!!! :)

Yeah that is a bit dissapointing to hear but all I want is Nurburgring at night and any sort of car :D:D

Patriot, your efforts are epic. 👍

Could please provide the final translation as soon it's finished?

No matter if there isn't anything new in Kaz's words, hearing some info from PD it's so rare that feels unreal, it's always good. ;)

Yes i forgot!!!Can we take it same as IRL? :)
Well a month later OPM apologized about the false IRL inclusion in GT5, they said nothing about the rest. I don't know what to think since Sony didn't deny anything else written in the february issue :scared:.
(Do you remember Sony's expedient response to Amazon's release date?...)

Patriot will you clarify the day/night statement you made, I see many people took it to mean that its only on some tracks.

My understanding of your translation is that Kaz said there would be night races, but didn't specify whether all tracks would have night or not. So it would still be unknown whether all tracks do or don't have night racing.

Which one is correct?

great, 6 years for 20 tracks, no night, no dynamic weather.. amazing PD.

Again people getting riled up over things are neither confirmed nor fully understood. The 20 tracks has long been explained a being 20 locations. From the recently released trailer, night time racing is confirmed although there's still no word on 24 hour cycle. Weather (not whether, just to be clear) as Kaz alluded before is finished and will be implemented if he's satisfied that it will add to the quality of the game.

There is no statement about Dynamic weather and Day N Night..He only said Day night races. We all know races are day..Why did he use that word? will it be Day n Night Cycles or night Races for all tracks..We didnt hear that from translation.
rest of translation about only Chatting

Thanks to Christopher is my friend who knows Japanese...

-look at Porsche cars in 4x4'sand sport
-testing 4x4 porsche on steets\
-its a hybrid by the way
-alot of banta about car aspectics and one of the guys has a white Ipad
-downsizing the memory usage while keeping the quality
GT MC (women arives )
-Ok DONE! after the wonder of the first half it end with merly general conversations about their perspective on design, CG, their relation to driving & ALOT about the Ipad (boys and their toys....)

Its about hybrid car chatting. Why porsche example?:)

I am a bit worried with the GT5P updates. Why update GT5P if GT5 is comming out soon (and i mean soon as the non-sony/pd people uses it)? Unless there is a good amount of time to the release, there would be no point in releasing updates to GT5P. Who would buy it now who doesn't already have it, if GT5 is right around the corner? And for the customers allready owning GT5P, im quite sure most would appreciate the work done on GT5P going to GT5 instead. Im just puzzled by that. :S

GT5P is already a Sony Greatest Hits. Never seen one of "those" have a DLC once it achieves that status and price drop. Maybe one has? I think, like some others above, that he is referring to online race updates.

BTW, thanks patriot and chistopher for your efforts. They are appreciated!👍👍

Whatever happened to the May issue PSM interview with Kaz? Did I miss it? :dunce:
