i think busch could make the switch to f1 from nascar, provided he loses his break stuff attitude. He is one of the fastest american drivers racing on any given weekend. I know the cars are 3,500lbs and don't handle, but look what he can do with that. He has raw driving talent, it wont matter that the f1 cars performance blows the stocker out of the water, he will be able to adapt to it. Then again that's as long as he really want's it. Like that article said, his gibbs contract is up conveniently in 2011.

I think usgpe should look into prying jimmie johnson away from hendrick motorsports. What does he have left to prove here in the states? He's a 3 going on 4 time cup champion, and in only as many years. It would finally break his stranglehold on the cup, not to mention he is one of the top 3 drivers in american oval racing right now. He's had better showings than busch had in his only grand am race, which i doubt either tested extensively for. Again, just as well as busch, johnson has raw driving talent, being able to make the switch as well i think. Might as well bring chad kinaus to wrench on the car too. Though getting johnson out of nascar is very unlikely, jj/kb would represent america well, provided they worked hard enough to get acclimated, which i don't think there ability to do so should be under estimated.

Lowe's/m&m for usgpe title sponsor in 2011, haha lowe's would make for a great livery, dark metallic blue and fluorescent green.

Oh well, ones wishful thinking, the other ones a slim possibility.

Trulli for busch? Yes please.
really really want.

Regarding Button to McLaren, this might be a little more accurate as to what is going on
Jenson Button ‘offer’ from McLaren may be goad to Kimi Raikkonen

Edward Gorman - October 24, 2009

The peculiar status of Jenson Button, a world champion without a confirmed contract with a Brawn GP team he helped to save from oblivion, led to suggestions yesterday that he could end up as Lewis Hamilton’s team-mate at McLaren Mercedes next year.

This seems a long shot. Why would Button, whose career has been plagued by wrong decisions on teams, want to go anywhere near McLaren when they are so focused on “Project Hamilton”? While Button’s supporters rate him as highly as the 2008 champion, others fear Britain’s latest king of Formula One would struggle against the McLaren “No 1”.

According to reports yesterday it is McLaren and their sponsor, Vodafone, who have let this horse out of its stable. But Norbert Haug, the director of motor sport at Mercedes-Benz, was having none of it.

“There are no current negotiations with Jenson Button but I do understand that people in England are dreaming of an English team with two world champions in the cockpits,” Haug said. “However, dreams don’t always come true.”

Button’s camp were as bemused by the rumours as they are at Brawn’s reluctance to do a deal with their man. Richard Goddard, Button’s manager, was adamant the story had not come from him.

The most likely “function” of this particular rumour is that it is McLaren’s way of reminding their real target for next season, Kimi Raikkonen, that there are other drivers available and that not all of them cost the many millions of pounds the Finn is hoping McLaren will pay him on top of the money he is due from Ferrari, where his contract had a year to run. Thus Button is possibly being used to encourage Raikkonen to sign on the dotted line.

The smart money remains on Button staying at Brawn next year and driving alongside a new team-mate in Nico Rosberg. Why Brawn are dragging out the negotiations with the new world champion remains a mystery. The delay in talking terms with Button, who is seeking to return to the £8 million salary he was on before he took a voluntary £5 million pay cut to help the team last winter, has led to rumours that the team are short of funds for next season.

The Button camp, however, remains optimistic. “I am sure they will make an offer and I am sure they will do it before too long,” Goddard said last night.

Pardon the super triple-post, but Button has apparently been given a contract he likes by Brawn. Normally I'd dismiss this because it's The Mail on Sunday and therefore a tabloid, but I do believe this is the first time I've read a tabloid report that names it source - Richard Goddard, Button's manager - rather than simply avoiding the issue:

http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport...on-Button-gets-reward-8m-job-offer-Brawn.html

Ross Brawn also quoted on BBC radio as saying Button is a 99% probability for 2010.

Very intriguing. The all want Jenson, don't they. Guess that winning the WDC has extended his career by maybe a fair few years, if he can keep teams interested ala Villneuve J.... Jokes! Still some good sources there 'ludes!

There's a reason why I come with 33% more ludes.

Really, I thought that these days you were too busy being world champion, and fathering everyone who reads your avatar comment!

As long as both hand stay on the keyboard, that is all we need to know

how do you change ur avatar comment anyway

You can only change it when you exceed either 500 or 1000 posts. (Can't remember which one)

^It's 500 posts. That's when I could change mine. You'll have to wait until the first xx:45 after you make the post though.

"I don't mind who comes to the team as long as they come in peace and bring peace and want to be productive and move the team forward he's not faster than I am and I get to drive the better material and stay Mclaren's wonderboy," - Hamilton

Fixed that for yah ;)

On the Rosberg article; It's about damn time they put him in a fast car. The Williams is only a midfield car, but probably the best midfielder car, but look how many points he scored with that car. I can only dream of Rosberg driving for a top team next season and hoping it'll come true.

And willing to play second fiddle, Lewis?

Not neccessarily. Everyone expected him to play second fiddle to Frankie when he was at McLaren and he didn't read that script did he?

Everyone also expected Vettel to play second fiddle to Webber but he didn't read that script did he?

I think you will see someone you didn't expect to see in Heikki's seat, possibly someone like Sutil, his contract is up at the end of the year me thinks

I kind of want him to stay with Williams for when they do finally get the car sorted out, but I agree, he deserves better now and his time with Williams is done.
Hopefully they get a better car sorted out for the Hulk next year. Then maybe people won't mock their defiant position on so many issues (14th team, KERS, etc).

Fixed it like flav fixed the Singapore GP.

Since when are we in the business of believing anything out of Spain?

Don't get me wrong, darkfinal: I'm not being racist here. But Spanish media is notoriously unreliable. Campos has already said he's waiting until after the season is over - and possibly even waiting until the new year - before announcing his lineup. De la Rosa is said to be stalling because he thinks he can get more money testing fro McLaren than racing for Campos, and Bruno Senna is testing with Renault some time during the off-season with a handful of other young drivers.

I'm pretty sure Rosberg will move to Brawn. It's clear that Hamilton has the last word in the Mclaren camp on who will be his teammate, so I'm expecting Rosberg not to go to Mclaren. A young guy with such talents really can't make a move to anything else than a topteam. I can't wait to see him in a topcar next season, I'll definitly mark him as my guy for the title.

Spanish newspapers reporting Bruno Senna has signed on with Campos.

Finland's MTV3 quotes Raikkonen as saying there were never any negotiations with Toyota and that McLaren was his first, last and only choice.
Notice we get something from Lotus but USF1 doesn't give us crap. Are they even racing next year?
USF1 have given us plenty. They've released preliminary drawings of their car, and photographs showing their factory a work. They're expecting to have a rolling prototype on the ground any day now, but even if they miss their self-imposed deadling, they'll still be ahead of the other teams, none of whom are going to be that ready until the new year. USF1 will race, your misplaced bias against them - no doubt fueled by countless rumours - probably arises from the fact that they're American. There has never been any proof that USF1 will not make it.

Thank you for that response

I find it funny that neither Manor or Campos have released any pictures of their facilities or prototypes (afaik), yet only the American team gets the flak and receives question from the haters

USF1 is destined for failure...I mean they're American! What can you expect from those idiots
