I respect you, cause your name is the same as one of my all time favorite tunes. That's all.

You only respect me because of this, or you respect me because of this and thats all you wanted to say?
DJ Shadow is pretty amazing, kind of like a composer behind the decks.

Which photo are you talking about exactly?
Either way, yes they have altered pictures, yes they have them on their site. You'd have to be blind to not see it.

In that B-Spec screen the actual in game picture of the cars are standard car models from GT5, period. Thats the point I'm making. People were saying it was a GT4 pic which is not true.

You know that camera that GT5P introduced to the GT series, where you drive from inside the car? With the dashboard in front of you with working dials and everything?

That's the camera standard cars don't have.

I hate to beat a dead horse but is it said anywhere else other than that one translation from the japanese site that says interior view? or is there something official that is a little more specific on what they mean as interior view? I know everyone is saying its the cockpit driving view but I wonder if its a possiblitiy it means something else (photo mode)

`People are too concerned about this. Kaz would NOT release a game that took over 5 years, with 20 % good cars, and the rest 80% looking like something from GT2 or something. They are all gonna be extremely well made and beautiful, the only difference between the cars will be that 800+ cars will look minblowinlgy good, and the other 200+ being unbelievably mindblovingly brilliantly good (As Jeremy Clarkson would`ve expressed it). In addition not all of the 800 + cars will not hace interior, yet.

Well said

If they wanted to do GT4 HD, they could have done it with updated physics and say 10 tracks with online feature. Release the game at launch or even last year for 20-30$. The game would have sold millions anyways.

People will buy GT5 because of premiums alone, gfx, physics and all the new features :)

PS: But they din't do it for a reason because the standard cars are more than what people think, it is not GT4 HD

Standard cars will not have a cockpit view (inside car)

Sorry sir but I must correct you. That said, I may also be wrong.

Quote from the article: “Standard cars do indeed have a cockpit/dashboard view, just not nearly as detailed as the premium cars. The existing cars are not just being copied; they are all being generated properly to create authentic experiences from car to car.”

"and that despite their best efforts to respond to criticism about standard car interiors, they were not able to implement cockpit camera (even one similar to GTPSP’s) in GT5 – a source of some disappointment to Kazunori, who is never happy to let down his fans and is probably his own biggest critic."

Dude...go read the gamescom articles on the front page.no interiors in premiums... ,Im using my phone,so cant put a link up.but yeah, its confirmed.Kaz said he was dissapointed by this..

Oh right, I'm not all that good at reading and tend to miss words and lines so I may have missed parts. I'm wrong.

And you're saying that because of, one video??? The cars damn well looked better than they did in GT4. They are certainly not simple port overs with no improvements.

Sometimes this forum feels like a Penrose stairs... you feel like you are making progress, you keep going and working your way up... then you turn a corner and bam... you're right where you were a month ago.

I really CANNOT believe you all saying this and that about standards after only 1 video, insufficient proof that they are just GT4 ports. You've all already said bad stuff about the Corvette C5.R because of about 3 seconds of footage of it. Maybe later on, you'll see some more videos and screenshots of standards later on, and then you can say whether they're plain old GT4 ports over, or actually improved over their GT4 predecessors, but until then, please, all of you, shut up.

Even if they are improved, they are still GT4 ports at their core, just looking a lot nicer than before.

If you think they aren't, perhaps you have some info to say otherwise?

Someones awful touchy... and a bit sure of themselves and demanding aren't we?

It's not just that one vide, there is a lot leading up to this conclusion (including the original announcement of standards and premiums in which it says standards are brought over form GT4 where compatible) that all points to a pretty solid conclusion.

So far I see everything pointing to exactly this being true, and you have nothing at all but your own hope and belief that it won't be true.

Now surely anything could be, but you really aren't coming from a position of strength for your opinion are you?

It's ironic, this is exactly the kind of attitude we heard back when standards and premiums were announced and then when it turned out standards were so much less than we all expected, we got routed daily by members saying how dumb we were for not seeing it plainly in front of us when it was announced even though that was far less evidence than what we have to go on now...

Any chance of this being a premium?
Daimler_Motor_Carriage_86_2.jpg

I wondered what would happen to those cars, my money is on it being standard if not even included at all because they were pretty useless. However I would be sure that the Ford Model T if in would be premium. If you think about it these cars are quite easy to model because theres not much even there! and the bodywork is mostly straight lines.

Robin.
