ZR-1 RM tune to win Gold at All-star

Thanks for the tune.

Just a question about race modding a car. Ive just bought this car brand new with a view to tackling some of the extreme series events, but have yet to tune it. I was looking at purchasing the race modification in GT Auto (which is pretty expensive).

If I do that, do I then goto the tuning shop and buy all the other upgrades, or does the RM already come with the car pre-tuned etc etc?

If I do have to then tune it after the RM, what do I buy? Everything?

Thanks in advance.

Race Mod gives you basically all the light weight mod(minus chassis reinforcement), suspension mod, racing tranny, all drivetrain mod(minus LSD), and racing exhaust. You can still add all the engine tuning parts after. It also adds front and rear downforce adjustment and just MORE downforce in general.

850~900hp seems to sound like it makes the series a level playing field which on GT normally means easy... so what power what you recommend I have it on for a challenge 600-700 maybe?

ok thanks very much for the info.

I tried this tune last night and it worked a treat but I then started getting problems with my car....

Firstly, this car tops out at 216mph on one of the faster circuits so on a long straight I can be overtook. What can I do to get the speed up into the 220's?

More disturbing was the fact that when I tried a couple of tracks about an hour into the session, the car started to idle in 3rd or 4th gear like it was cutting out. Now this car is almost new (i even changed the oil again) and I havent changed any of the gear settings even tho I have the upgrade. I just copied the tune from this thread.

What can it be that is making my car start to slow down in 3rd-4th gears for like 5 seconds then pick up again?

Each circuit or track is unique, some are faster than others whilst others have more bends. Similarly, different tracks have different top speeds, so you should always peruse information about the track before entering the race.

The simplest way to achieve a top speed is to adjust your gear ratios for longer gears. However, that compromises acceleration, so give consideration to the number of long straights versus the bendy bits.

Cheers

I just beat the All Stars(championship, missed winning 2 races though) with the Z06 RM, didn't even max out the power(minus the supercharger). It was tough though, had to reload a few times to make sure the faster cars will start further back....lol

This car is sweet! Very nice tune also. I failed the all-star even with the Zonda, but this tune on this car is amazing, blows the zonda totally away.
This car/tune doesnt work in b-spec though :< Guess i need a super expensive race car for bob at the higher levels.

Man this is a great tune. White knuckle racing. There's no margin for error though, damn! Still trying to finish all-star races without messing up but I can tell the car can do it. The driver... not yet :D

Hey, everyone seems to like this tuning ...

Well, I have 1 problem with it, when I brake the nose of my car wants to slip out of control. I tried to go hard , medium, and soft with the brakes it always act weird for me. Meh I'm not a good driver.

Sail I have been using your tune since I built the car and wow it's awesome. All those LMP cars got owned by the ZR-1 RM'd at Indy :) in the Oval race.

I have a problem with my ZR-1 RM. I tuned it before i did the race modification and now it "only" has 835 hp. I reinstalled all the parts which were uninstalled during the race modification but to no use. I also changed the oil right after i bought it and again after the RM however nothing changed after the second one.
Then I read here that the cars get stronger after some use as in real life but the car has already 2000 km on it (i already got 1 motor maintenance also which did not increase the hp).

can you think of anything which could make it stronger? it's really frustrating when i read here that you are using the same car but with +70 hp and I'm stuck at 835.

Bought an Zr1 and rm'ed it, after i upgraded and tuned it

But i'm struggling hard to win this event ! gotta pratice with the car perhaps

Thansk for the tips !

BTW It have 899hp at 1100kg :)

Same here.. I absolutely LOVE this car but I'm feeling like I've wasted too much time and credits buying, tuning and RM 3 different ZR1. One of them is 715bhp max @7800rpm... :ill::crazy::yuck::grumpy::irked:  🤬🤬🤬

what are your exact tunes for this zr1 RM. i have just tried using it for indianapolis, it has really bad turning capabilities and is slower compared to the other cars. What tires did you use, driving aids, etc.??

I had this same issue.

Today I noticed stage3 tuning was NOT active. I now have 905 horsepower! Silly me.

The setup "as is" on the first page is a bit squirrelly with a DS3, braking and acceleration. But, then again I'm used to using a wheel.

Edit: At Indy in the American Championship, it's fine. I won by 1.5 seconds. The road courses are where I'm having a tough time. Laguna and Daytona Road Course in particular.

I have a fully modified RM ZR1, I tuned my car to your specific settings and was just wondering if 218 MPH/ 348.8 KM/H without draft down a straight-a-way will be good enough for this race?
