Ok guys and girls, it's time to show off your best muscle car pics taken in GT4 photomode.

Basically, no strict rules to adhere to this week, just upload some pics of your favorite musclecar(s).

You can do anything you want in photoshop, provided you still retain the basic qualities of the photo you took in GT4 :)

Today is June 11th, so on June 18th I will choose the winner at say 3pm.

Limit 5 entries per participant, although only one per person will be included in my final and the poll.

I don't wanna be harsh, but if you look at the other competitions except the photomode, photoshop and the vicious competition, the other competitions just plain suck, and this one seems to follow the same path!

Look at the rally competition, 1 vote..2 votes...nothing more!

Anyway, if you want it to suceed, you'll have to work hard!

I wanted to say that, but didn't want to sound too harsh.
 
The open rules should attract a few entries though - any Photoshop mods, up to 5 entries. That'll really get people into action I think.

I understand full well that there's a good chance it won't succeed, but hey there's no harm in trying....if there is low response than I wont do any more.

I might also start pm'ing people inviting them to join the competiton, too :)
 
Id enter....but there are a couple superior PS guys, and if they enter there will be no chance :scared:

Yup...or pixeljunkie....I went to school for graphic design but that was like 7 years ago and Im in no way up to par as they are. :yuck:
 
I don't want this to be a competition where the guys who use photoshop for a living automatically win, so don't be afraid to enter. I'm not necessarily wooed by amazing photoshop skills, I'm more interested in the base picture.

I always tell my friends I like women that look great without make-up.

If you can come up with an amazing angle or reflection or a clear picture that is framed well, that is my first consideration.

Im sure if you were inspired you would really distroy us all...lol...but If I see a topic I was inspired by I might give it a try...
 
To be honest we don't need anymore competitions, I think the admins should block anymore. There is plenty to do and plenty of viarity already.

To be honest, and with all due respect, I don't think there is ENOUGH variety.

There's huge response to the main competition threads but no one seems to be interested in the ones other people do. Vicious has had some success and swissbear a little but I really can't understand why people don't go for more...
 
hmm.. well the only muscle-car i like to drive, is the cuda... but i'll just race that muscle car race again.. :) i'll post mine in a few hours :)
 
I say go for it. This could be just different muscle car themes, I like it. Start week 1 and set a theme up (like the other comps) and just pic a winner! Then from there it will go on and on.

Yeah, they definitely classify. 1964-1973 are the prime years but hey there's countless examples of forerunners to the musclecar before those years, the mid 50's bel airs, early vettes, and on and on....and many cars made today that I would count as a muscle car with a big engine and looks to go along with it.

I like the picture, notably because of how the road looks, different than in any other picture I've seen from that track :)

Actually, if you could somehow think of a way to offer a prize to the winners (it doesn't need to be anything big) then you'd have heaps of entries. I don't think any of the other comps offer prizes. You should work on way to do this. If there's an actual prize at the end people will compete like mad... :D

Welcome to the 16th Week of the GT4 PhotoMode Competition.

  • Do not use anyone else’s work. Only use your own.
  • Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
  • We are using a system in which the winner of a previous competition that chose the theme for this week, will also at the end of the week skim through and select their top 20 entries to be placed on the poll.
  • Photoshop can be used to crop, resize, adjust brightness and contrast, and for adding text. Changing color curves or manipulating is prohibited.
  • Post your final entry in RED letters. Such as “FINAL ENTRY”
    [*]Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack and have the thumbnail picture.

  • [NEW]Please Submit your Final Entry and no more than 2 Honorable Mentions.

@insane - The point of this comp is NOT to mirror another competition. Thanks for the suggestions, though.
 
then enter those.. they are too full for thier own good, not everyone gets in the poll.. although i think 5 is a little many entries, at that rate, if all of them get into a poll.. you'd have 3 entrants.

I really like the second picture. However I am noticing on some of your pics streaks/bands....do you have them at full resolution or did you cut image quality/color somehow?
