Kenny's Muscle Car Competition Week 1

So Kenny, the final day is drawing near. How are you going to work this? Is there going to be a top twenty where people vote like in the other comps, or are you just going to choose the best pic and be done with it? :) Also, does the winner from this week choose next week's theme and winners, or will it always be at your discretion?

Just think how far this comp has come from the start of the week where people said it wouldn't take off... :)

I was wondering when someone would ask.

What I am planning to do is pick the final picture myself and give a rundown of why I picked this picture and a few runner-ups. So say the top 5 will have an explanation of why I selected them.

I will also post a poll showcasing the best picture from EACH person as I think that is fair without overdoing it.

If the winner also receives the most votes, they will choose a theme when I decide they can, I already have some ideas :)

oh come on,i think Ford's "Living Legends" are really good.The GT and the Mustang look like the originals,as well as the Thunderbird and the Cobra concept.At The end of the day,it is what YOU like,and i cannot make you like them.
 
I think having an original is a sense of pride in the car. Now you get all these stupid people with the GT and they think that have a GT40 Race Car. And same goes for the new mustangs, sure, they look really close to the old ones, however the interior isn't close at ALL. Another thing, the Engine! The new mustangs and GT's cannot come close to the sound of the old ones, the ones with the real sound and power.

All these people? Didn't they make stuff all GT's, in which case I doubt I'll ever run into one thinking they have a GT40. :)

That's great, but if I start defining 'muscle car' as a purist then I have little to no entries. I agree a Ford GT is not a muscle car but it is close enough for this competition. A pony car is a muscle car in my book. Can we please not discuss the veritability of supposed cars or define this anymore? Thanks. :)

Good effort Peyton. A couple are a bit dark, and not sure if you used high quality res or not but I really think you did a good job on the fourth picture. :)

Well Skuh its about time. Instead of all the whoring you been doing on these threads, you've actually managed to enter a comp. Oh and by the way Nice Job, just a shame we couldnt have Daisy draped over the bonnet.
 
an aston martin is not a muscle car.. the thing is heavy as hell, even if it DOES sound nice [had a lil run in w/ one on hwy101/Pacific Coast Highway.. but yeah, heavy as hell, i wouldn't call it a muscle car.. more like a high-end luxury sport.

A couple good entries there even if the Dukes of Hazzard thing may be overdone....haha

An Aston Martin would not be considered a muscle car.

Then why didn't you post pictures of it? :D And Justin, your top two pictures look strangely familiar...probably because I took one almost exactly like it on the Nurb, and it actually made the top 20 last week, woot! Nice pics :)

@ franz, I know you can edit very well, and know thats about the only thing you do lol, I only see you posting in picture or editing threads;) Anyway, you got some basic brighten up tips? I always want to get cars that shiny, but I aways do it with the photoshope "dodge" tool, wich is wrong isn't it?
