Who we will trust in the next release date after so may of them were not true! after so many unrespect for the fans...

So many of them? One if you're not Japanese, two if you are - we've just covered this. That's not "many".

From what I read nobody exactly know what's going on in the Sony's headquarters, but what's your feeling? Do you think GT5 will be a 2011 title?

It would be irresponsible for me to speculate. I say a date here and suddenly the internet is buzzing with "GTPlanet says..." (and they must be right - they interviewed Kazunori at GamesCom!).

Absolutely not, PD and Sony want this game out as soon as possible. And they would rather have out for the holiday season then in 2011. I'm sure they're working hard to get it out by then. I would honestly guesstimate myself it would be out by end of November/Early December. Worst thing that can happen is a late December release... Unless everything is haywire at Sony and the Blu-Ray schedule is not due untill said 2011 date.

Unless the entire Japanese language has changed and they also conquered Portugal while no-one was watching, you have only had one release date postponement. One is not "more than one" or "many". It is one.

Because they want to max out the PS3's capability, if it was an X-BOX 360 game it would've been released months ago, PD wouldn't want to release the game thinking "We could've put this and this and this in" but they didn't, Id rather wait 2 years more and have a full game instead of not wait and have a half full game.

That's got hardly anything to do with not meeting a deadline set by themselves as the main development and 'maxing out' the PS3 capabilities were done in the 5 or 6 years leading up to that final release date.
The problems could have arrived due to the complexity but saying the content put in is the reason for delay isn't accurate I think.
They've only missed it by 3 days apparantly ( and rumour has it that they had to integrate a new firmware standard causing this delay ) which has nothing to do with the features included, probably just a last minute change they had to implement and which somehow seems to be poorly planned or miscalculated as for the time it took ( or unforeseen problems arising implementing it ).

Ah.. Yes that's right :D It's a big responsability!

Early December will be cool! But maybe think they can sell more at Christmas time.. I hope not, everybody are pre-ordering his own copy..

Yeah. I'm sure they could make as much money if they released earlier. I'm sure not every 12 year old is going to be wanting a driver simulator.

That's right, marketing people inside Sony's should start recon GT is not a simple videogame for teenagers. We don't need to wait Christams to buy it.

I remember that there was supposed to be a GT5, when the PS3 was first launched. Then they scrapped it completely, and released GT5P some time later. So if you think about it GT5 has been postponed more than twice and has been in production for over FIVE YEARS!! The reason why this sucks is, while we all are sure GT5 will be better than Forza 3, Dirt 2, the next NFS etc. etc. It's not going to be five yrs. worth of time better! Also, if the game has one glitch, and I mean ONE, its going back! I'll wait on Forza 4, which from what I've seen so far, is going to be sick!! Basically, PD needs to step their game up......LITERALLY! Their like drug dealers.....you may not like them very much, but you love their product! But somebody needs to let them know that their not the only dealers on the block! LOLOL

i think they listed that a few days ago... i may be mistaken. but you're right, it's probably an estimate. well, hopefully you're right :)

Prologue for one year

Not a release date for GT5.

Not a release date for GT5 for you.

The only GT5 release date for you so far.

Read. Digest. Comprehend.

If you count all the rumoured release dates you have more then one or two.

I could have marked my calendar with every day from June 2005 until next December with rumoured release dates.

Common sense from Sony would be releasing it this holiday. I highly doubt they're gonna put all the pressure on Move to move PS3 consoles.

You talked about them not meeting their deadlines e.g spring 2010 fall 2009 ect. so that was because of the firmware? :odd:

This delay was firmware related. Those deadlines were not met because of the fact that they wanted to add more, and more. . .

It's a mix of things - had they met the deadline, they'd not have needed the 3.50 firmware (mandated by Sony since October). They missed that deadline by 3 days and the master copy with 3.41 wouldn't have passed Sony's new rules (ironic, with Yamauchi being the VP of Sony and all).

Why did they miss the deadline? I blame Ben Collins.

I was only talking about this current delay in the post you quoted ( which indeed seems to be firmware related ).
The Japanese release date delay ( which is the only 'other' delay I remember mentioning at all in this thread ) wasn't mentioned in that post or the reasons for it which aren't known ( at least not by me ).

Yeah... that's the easy route.

BLAME BEN COLLINS!

That would be scripted for people selling the game behind the till

*Guy goes to pay for GT5*

Customer: Ahh, I've been waiting for this game for 5 years.
Cashier guy: You must feel happy to put this in your PS3 then when you get home
C: (Bringing out card) Yeah, by the way why was it delayed?
CG: (Bringing out script) Blame... Ben... Collins.

Rumour has it that the way Ben Collins was modelled ( or at least the character he was playing ) somehow wasn't compatible with the new firmware update.
They're not sure if this might be due to the way his body is shaped ( which in itself is odd ) or that this particular data coincidentally corrupts that new software ( even odder as the chances of that happening are under normal circumstances almost negligible ).
For now, rumours of direct sabotage however are fiercely denied by all parties involved.

Probably his webbed buttocks. Or someone ran their finger down his face and unlocked him.

Let us Americans chip in, to push this Stig issue forward. Weve got this guy that only works for FOOD & won't take his helmet off because his head is to big. :)

Once for most people (one release date - 2nd-5th November 2010), twice for Japan (two release dates - 31st March 2010 and 3rd November 2010).

While true I always felt this is more a pedantic point than anything.

Then again, technically right is the best kind of right :)

Those deadlines were not met because of the fact that they wanted to add more, and more. . .

Conversely it could be said those deadlines were not met because they were behind...

So how does he eat the food he has earned?

And is that Tony Stewart?
