Yeah I'm still keeping my fingers cross that December 7th will be the latest. The waiting game is a lot of fun huh?

We heard that before. It will be next year fro sure , most shops already listed it for next year. Poor Sony that they will get killed this Christmas with the lack of exclusives and mostly multiplatform that will sell more on other console.

Yes sir your the genius you know everything you are perfect. Anyway don't be sore losers just because your precious ps3 will not have a great exclusives this December. You guys are being rude and angry and i understand that, because you and even me is so pissed that Gt5 Forever has taken 6 years. Well, That is why stop being a fanboy and support any console. It is good to have two consoles especially xbox 360.

I understand that the delays seemed to pile up these last few years for GT5. And with the Nov. 2 delay, the official release date's credibility might as well be the same as those of filler dates on the shops. But to step further and say that the shop dates are final is just the same as saying that the official release date is final. You're being hypocritical here.
And you claim that we're the fanboys. Yeah.

Just wondering what you mean by "while those withh the 360 will enjoy alot of games this christmas. Forgive me for saying but what do you mean by alot of games. I've owned the 360 since launch but unfortunately the 360 has already peaked and in my opinion is on the decline. I shall be trading my 360 in when GT5 is released and cancelling my Xbox live subscription. You may ask why and the answer is simple? The 360 exclusive games have dried up. Also I don't see any progression with the games lately because developers have pushed the 360 to its limit. For example the reason why Forza 3 doesn't have 16 cars on the grid and doesn't include weather is because the 360 cannot handle this and it was Turn 10 who admitted this.
Before you call me a fanboy let me tell you that i've owned both consoles since they were launched. Now at first I hardly used my PS3 except for Blu ray movies but now I find I use my PS3 alot more. Whilst the 360 has reached its limit the PS3 games are still improving. Also the PS3 exclusive games are miles ahead of anything the 360 can do. For example when I played Unchartered 2 I was simply stunned at the amazing graphics and this for me has to be one of the best games i've ever played.
As for the delay of GT5 and im fairly confident we shall see this in 2010. I really don't believe its because PD missed their slot. I say this because I would imagine they can produce an incredible amount of copies in a short space of time. Also I doubt one location produces all worldwide copies. For example im sure the US copies will be produced in the US and the UK copies in the UK. However the delay because of the hackers is far more likely in my opinion.

i pre ordered the signature edition a couple of weeks ago and yes im gutted about the delay but i wont be cancelling it because i have waited so long as we all have for this and will just have to wait a little longer and hopefully at the end of the month we will have a release date

I also own both consoles and can safely say that I play my 360 far more than my PS3. I only have racing games because I only play racing games and I have 5 games on my 360 which I can't get on my PS3 (PGR3, PGR4, Forza 3, Race Pro and Test Drive Unlimited) To compare, my only exclusive on the PS3 is Supercar Challenge. GT5 will also be another (if it's ever released) but that's a big question mark at the moment.
I pretty much only use my PS3 for watching films and sometimes playing WRC, SC, Shift and Grid. I play my 360 exclusives far more, however. So, it's all really a matter of opinion. I think the 360 has better racing exclusives. By far. I mean, the PS3 has been out since 2006 and in that time, they have only developed 2 car licensed exclusives (Ferrari Challenge & SC) Hardly world-beaters, are they?
Meanwhile, the 360 has had two PGR's, two Forzas, Race Pro and Test Drive Unlimited. Why has Sony remained idle all these years to racing exclusives (Motorstorm is crap, no licensed cars)? It's taking just about forever for GT5 to come out and who knows whether we're even going to see it this year.

I hear what your saying but to be honest some of the games you listed are crap in my opinion. I thought RacePro was crap, FM3 disappointing, PGR 4 disappointing. The only decent racing games I have played since 2005 is PGR3, Forza 2, GT5P. The 360 has some good FPS games but to be honest the only decent non arcade racing game has been Forza 2. That is pretty crap considering how long the 360 has been out.
P.S Forza 3 is an arcade racing game in my opinion since Turn 10 wanted to appeal to casual gamers.

Official release dates yes, but PD have said before when they expected GT5 to come out. I remember after they released Prologue that the full game was 'about a year away', look how long it's been now. PD are rubbish at sticking to their deadlines.

This is why the Release Date thread exists. Only genuine, officially published release dates carry the cachet to be posted there, along with the names and posts of those who claim otherwise. To date, only two dates have been in that thread - 31st March for Japan and 2nd-5th November for everyone (including Japan). There were people petitioning me on October 12th to change the date for Europe from 3rd November to 5th November because game retailers had all changed their dates and it was "confirmed" - a day before it was actually confirmed that the early November release would slip.

Strictly speaking and factual this is indeed the first delay worldwide as the official March 2010 Japan release date only counted for Japan as no release dates for other countries were announced in the first place.
But I can't blame people who assume ( like myself ) that if that original Japanese release date wasn't delayed we might have gotten a release date announcement shortly after that and would've probably been playing GT5 right now.
We'll never know ofcourse.

Because they want to max out the PS3's capability, if it was an X-BOX 360 game it would've been released months ago, PD wouldn't want to release the game thinking "We could've put this and this and this in" but they didn't, Id rather wait 2 years more and have a full game instead of not wait and have a half full game.
