See, there you go spewing things out of your mouth which you have no idea of what you are talking about. It has nothing to do at all with jealously protecting one's times. I told you before, if you haven't got the talent, no amount of tuning is going to help you. There is no magical tune out there that is going to turn you into an instant superstar. Sure, it may help you shave a couple tenths off your time, but thats about it. No amount of tuning is going to change your talent level. I know this to be fact because I have used tunes before from people like Amo and the rest of the top drivers and their tunes were only good for a few tenths at best. That is why I took to tuning my own cars because I know what it is that I want from a car and what I want it to do.

Furthermore, anyone that has been a regular on these TT threads knows that I have no problem sharing my tunes or helping in any way I can. If you go back and look at past TT threads that I have participated in, you will see that I have no problem publishing my tunes. And if you should happen to beat me using my own tune, then good for you, I'm glad I could help. Its happened before where I've shared my tune and someone who is equal to me talent wise has beaten me with my own tune. I didn't lose any sleep over it and was simply happy I could help them achieve their goals. People here that know me know that the ultimate victory for me is helping someone achieve their goals. And for you to come on here and even incinuate that I will not share my tunes just for the sake of protecting my times is pure idiocy. That is what really pisses me off about you. For two weeks you call me out in two different threads, and here you are at it again incinuating that I won't share my tune because I'm afraid you'll inprove your time over mine. BS. You even called out one of my friends saying that he unfriended you because he was scared to be beaten by you. Again, BS. Dalone, who do you think you are that everyone is scared of you or worried about you beating them. Your behavior is really getting tiresome my friend. You are no one special here I am certainly not worried about you beating me. I think I have proved that. Now, just to further prove to you that you are wrong about me and your little incinuations, here is my tune. After listening to you spew your nonsense for the last few weeks about me, I think I have went above and beyond my duties here as it concerns you. After all your crap I could have just as easily said FU, unfriended you and moved on...but I didn't so I hope that shows you what kind of person I am.

One last thing here. This is probably my last time here for awhile as I have to go in tomorrow for yet another back operation so I will be out of commision for awhile. I hope to be back tho sooner than later. Don't want to stretch this out any longer than I already have, so I will just say I will miss competing in the TT's and will miss all who I have competed against. Hopefully I will be back stronger than ever. Peace and god bless everyone. Hope to be back soon.

Thanks guys for all your well wishes. They are all appreciated. And yea, hopefully the pain will be less than before. I have been taking very strong pain medication since the accident as prescribed and they want to get me off of that too as they are afraid that I am physically addicted to the medicine so that is something that has to be dealt with aswell. Fine by me as I hate having to take all that crap just to feel a little better. With the operation and the addiction to deal with, I feel like its going to be a long road but will be better in the end...hopefully.

Anyways, gotta finnish getting ready for admission tomorrow. Will maybe post one last time if I have time before I leave. Thanks again everyone.
 
Indeed yes without out question. Talent is what makes great along with the understanding of tunes. Getting tunes without talent please play others ps3 game. Serious...

By the suggestion of Alan (I think that was you SirAlanClive?) in the Chatbox on AdrenaTune, I took the '00 C5 Z06 out for a spin today. Maxed everything out, and lowered rear downforce until the car was at 580pp (0/12). Rear toe 0.00, BB 5/10, LSD 9/14/7. Took it for a spin and ran 3 1:21's back to back to back, about 1 second off my best from last week. Had some sliding issues, so I maxed rear Aero and added ballast until the car was back at 580PP, moved it to make it 50/50 (121@+30).

Hopped on the track and ran 1:19.7xx, immediately followed by a 1:19.456 for a new best.
I'm not sure if this is due to the rear aero, ballast, or the '00 vette, but for a 99% default tune it's rather impressive for 4 minutes of effort.

Going to try SirAlanClive and jimipitbull's tunes next and see if it's better or worse.
Then, if I'm not bored out of my mind yet, I'll put a rear spoiler on my '06 Z06 and see how much it helps. Assume I'll be bored within an hour, and will put the '00 Z06 with all 3 tunes on share for those that desire. Make sure to include Corvette, or TT in the Friends Request so I know what it's for.

Complete distractions this eve. Dinner, washing up, got absorbed into ST Voyager than a mate came round and the console was on all the time. Finally i can get back to it.
 
Well, my post failed. So here's the short version:

I used the same Ballast, Transmission, LSD and Aero for all tests.

Jimi's tune ran 1:19.2xx
Very smooth, safe, consistent, reliable and predictable. A little too safe for me, so in an effort to loosen it up, I Adjusted Rear toe to 0.00 and Ran 1:19.0xx

Hopped in Alans tune and ran 1:18.7xx
Alans tune was extremely smooth and very controlled under hard braking. In the turns Alan's tune was able to hold a much lower/tighter line and just felt smoother overall to me.
Tweaked Alans tune and ended with a 1:18.406, which put me in 79th for now.

I never got back around to testing the '06 Z06, maybe later, but I already put an hour into this. Here is the final tune I used, which is mostly based off Alans.

Yes it was me, I like your site (got it in my sig) so I thought I'd try the chatbox - it worked! ;)
I agree the car seemed fast 'out of the box' and I was surprised there was no tune readily available for it. I don't really have much 'talent', just a lot of practice and this car seemed easy to drive. It's still the one I got my fastest time on but I've been WRS-ing that blasted AZ-1 all day so I haven't tried CargoRat's tune on the C06 '06 yet. Look forward to trying your tune on the '00.
 
Well folks, after my first attempt this evening the best I have managed so far is a 1:18.4 putting me in 80th place (correct as of an hour ago). I started by performing stage 3 engine and chassis weight reduction and then adding some small aero parts. Not really done much tuning to note yet suspension wise as I was just playing around and trying to find a setup to kill the oversteer (I set rear camber to 1.5) which worked well apart from inducing understeer on turn in :sly:, now just to add more grip to the front to balance it nicely into the corners and I should be able to challenge the top ten. :)

Cargo, I have an adult son (30yrs) who suffered a back injury and has had two back ops, one to put pins in and another to correct the first procedure.

I am fully aware of the pain and medication problems associated with some back ops and I sincerely wish you a good result with yours and a speedy recovery.

As for this nonsense about me claiming that Adrenaline unfriended me because he was scared I might beat him, or that I believe others are scared of me because I might beat their times, crikey mate, that's pure fiction on your part. And I reckon you'd be the only bloke here who would have reached those erroneous conclusions.

Well, had one last go at the TT after I got done packing. No improvement as my heart just wasn't in it. Just couldn't concentrate at all thinking about the days to come. I had another run in the Vette last night and have to admit I'm struggling to find any sort of speed in it. Got down to a 1'18.3, but no concistency :lol:

On a more positive note, I sent Bob round the Nurb 4 hr endurance in the RS200 last night to burn the oil off... now makes another 10bhp at the ppt limit.
