Turnaround race?

So for the XNR it's soft race suspension with a tweak of the gearbox and I'm set. I haven't driven the Huayra since the first week I bought GT6! I remember it being a bit scary and it wasn't on comfort tyres then.

It's very hot here at the moment, 29°C out 27° in, so if me or my PS3 expire mid race you'll know what's happened.

My friend is doing my qualifying lap right now. I'll do the race.

Update:
Thanks everyone, I enjoyed the race.
@IfAndOr was keeping the pressure on me the whole way round. We had our own pack, separate from those ahead of us. 👍

I would have liked to do the Huayra race too but I couldn't make it. :(

Sorry for the couple of dive bombs on the last chicane. My brakes weren't quite so good has I thought. :scared: You seemed to have better acceleration and me a better top speed so we yoyo'd back and forth. But a good battle. 👍

I enjoyed the Huayra race. For some reason I had three of them in my garage but they were all the wrong model year. So after a quick purchase I was very happy with a third place finish. A good battle again with Jocke and Manny. Couldn't quite catch Blue.

Sorry everyone for making you spend 2.5 million credits today.
I'm down to my last 48 million now. I'll have to sell my spare Huayras. :)

I'm twenty minutes into this documentary. Didn't even know it existed until
only a few days ago. Can't get the subtitles to work for when they speak Japanese
but it's interesting all the same.

I'll have Tuesday's race results up tomorrow.

I watched it when it came out. I saw it as a combination of a very long Gran Turismo advert & a film about something I love. Some good stuff in there, certainly. 👍

If anyone is missing a bit of racing - Here's just a quick shout out to see if anyone is interested in this...

@Sick Cylinder is running a new series starting this coming Sunday featuring the Formular GT, Plymouth XNR and NASCAR Road Racing (click to go to thread)

While it's not on comforts all the cars are on sports tyres, including the FGT and NASCAR's - so it can get slippery! :)

There are a few drivers there that you will already know from here (and other races) - Jocke himself makes the occasional rare visit.

The time and day may not suit everyone, but take a look anyway - there's lots of interesting material. 👍

Race Details
Races are held every Sunday commencing at 17:00 BST (16:00 UTC) and ending shortly before 19:00 BST

Car Details

Race 1 (15 Mins): Plymouth XNR 1960 = 500 PP / 500 BHP / 1600 KG / Tuning Allowed / SM Tyres

Race 2 (25 Mins): Nascar = 600 PP / 705 BHP / 1565 KG / Tuning Allowed / SM Tyres

Race 3 (15 Mins): Formula GT = 865 PP / 750 BHP / 550 KG / Tuning Prohibited / SH Front & SM Rear Tyres

The Schedule

Very lucky to meet some great fair racers and still learning.
:) Me too.

I hope whatever you guys are planning with the vision cars is a series
Thanks for the feedback, blue. Not related to this per se ^

..but there is a VGT poll in the GT6 forum that I posted a few days ago to try and see
what the interest is like for the VGT's. There has been quite a few votes as of now.
Perhaps anyone reading this haven't seen the thread yet.

@JockeP22
what car are you guys driving today?
I might be able to Join again!!

No races scheduled today, Manny. But I'm sure some of the guys are online. :)

Hi drivers, it was nice to race most of you earlier today in the XNR's.

I will host two races this Tuesday and if you want to join in on that
you're very welcome.

I put the information into post #2

Paul, I'm still waiting to see your name here;

:)

thanks guys

Paul, I'm still waiting to see your name here;
You might be waiting for quite awhile! Tried it a couple of times. Crashed a couple of times.
I'm with Blue, I'll think I'll give that one a miss.

A good time you've put down there Jocke. 👍

Now if you look at the first SRT time trial - I quite liked that one and the track. ;)

...for it is possible to make the length of the race with only one pit stop. Possible, but difficult. Most drivers will probably need two stops.
Now there's a challenge.

Greetings chaps, I've only just noticed that you'd all found out about me and Jocke. Dammit, sorry I didn't respond, I was away on my.................. hang on a minute, you all know about that.

Anyway.........

Inspiration for my Video!!

Ace vid Manny! But a definitely questionable overtake about 1:33 ;)

I just had a look at the races for tomorrow......... yippeeee, they look brilliant, I can't wait.

And finally

I'll think I'll give that one a miss

You are so right Paul, frustrating as hell, but I had to complete it to get the car, it's a total hooligan.

Cheers, Zo.

I don't think I've ever done a full race in the Tesla (other than split screen against my girlfriend) so I didn't even know you could pit in an EV in the game.

5th on your list. Not sure if I can find 3 seconds.
It's funny, I am in 127094th place with the Tomahawk S, 37447th place with the Tomahawk GTS-R
and currently 3013th with the Tomahawk X. I didn't expect such huge leaps.

Ace vid Manny! But a definitely questionable overtake about 1:33
Agreed. ; )
That is my dad's favorite expression.

I didn't even know you could pit in an EV in the game.
Nor me! Do you have to plug it in then sit and wait for a few hours? Going to be a long race.
It might be my imagination but it feels like the battery gauge needle takes a lot longer to rise
than the fuel needle does on other cars.

The EVs have very high torque values, right? I have to try this tonight
I might join you. What time were you thinking (Finnish clock)?

I believe this the club is formerly known as Z8 Club. Zero Cup is running Z8 stock tonight if someone is interested
BMW Z8. What is that? Never heard of it before.

I don't think I can pass on that offer. Is it 22:00 Finnish time?

I did few laps offline earlier. It is ok accelerating but cornering speed is critical... Just bit too much speed and it turns into a elephant on ice:eek::crazy: Could you consider CM instead? All that weight and no grip... Very challenging :)

22:00 finnish time, 21:00 svenka tid 👍
