Thanks Mallet @S_Bridge for helping with weather testing.
I think the Z8 race could be brilliant. :)

I've not driven the Hyundai before but the Z8 is sweet and should be good fun with a bit of water thrown into the mix.
The Click feels quite good for an FF car. I'm using a mid-turbo on mine to reach 430pp but
that could very well change before Tuesday.
I also like that it has a yellow #46 on the chassis.

The Z8 was what started this whole thread in the beginning. Great looking and handling car.

That photo above with the two cars is supposed to be a re-enactment of the
Senna-Prost clash at Suzuka in 1990. :)

some shots of the Carlton race
Excellent bb.

I was just getting myself prepared to race in the Mini with Mik again for the first time since ~March.
Unfortunately he's had to cancel it,
so I have opened up a lobby for one-make racing with Comforts.

There are a lot of good loaner/rental cars provided for by the game, MiTo, FR-S, Range Rover, the Tesla, the Ferrari, BRZ, Stingray, M3 GT, Raybrig, the shifter kart, GT-R Nismo.

I will be racing for a while and it will be a public room. Might meet some new racers. Dirty drivers will be shown the door though.

Hi chaps, Coke is holding some more quick-fire races tomorrow night (Sunday) commencing 19.30 BST (18.30GMT). Caterham, stock, with oil change, S/H tyres. Now, I know that this is a bit grippy for us hard core slip-meisters, but the racing should be close and fun.

Cheers, Zo.

I'll join in, Zo.

But I will be a little late (~20 minutes), there's a MotoGP race going live at 18:00 GMT and I can't miss that. ;)

I have a normal Monday-Friday 8-5 job now which is strange to me but it means I will very rarely if ever be able to make it to the Tuesday races anymore, which are at 4pm for me...

I was looking forward to finally racing an FF car in the club too.
That's a shame but good luck to you in your new job.

I suppose going home sick every Tuesday afternoon wouldn't go down to well. :mischievous:

That's very unfortunate for us Blue, but, as Paul says, good luck with your new job. I'm guessing that it is a step you wanted to take. Don't forget (blatant plug) that there are some casual races to be had on a Sunday night. It's the blistering Honda S800 '66, stock this coming weekend, on C/H tyres.

Cheers, Zo.

I'm on a promise tonight jocke so I'll have to miss this one. I bought the cars - could not use my old Z8, and tuned up the wee click, had it going pretty good to be fair, it's got a good diff. Anyway, enjoy slipping and sliding your way round suzukas awesome curves

Once again brilliant fun, its certainly a good learning curve and as for Dusty, man you are quick....

Thanks gents
Thanks coke,
yeah I'm able to keep Dusty's pace maybe once every other month, if I'm lucky. :)

Yesterday was fun. Great seeing the Valentino Rossi cars (#46) in the first race and I was happy to share the front row with Dusty in the Z8.

Managed to stay within 2-3 seconds of him for eighteen of the twenty minutes until I didn't dare stay out any longer, I thought I would run out of fuel but when nobody else pitted I realised my mistake.

I always feel like an adequate driver when following Dusty. :)
Too bad it only happens once in a blue moon.

I forgot to put #37 on my Z8, I had promised @S_Bridge to do so. Sorry Mallet. :guilty:

What did you mean you couldn't see the track, Zo?

What did you mean you couldn't see the track, Zo?

Going into the snake section I lost the definition between the edge of the track and the surface beyond. I couldn't judge when to turn in for the second lefthander because by the time the kerb was in view it was too late. It had been a bit dodgy the lap before, but I was following Coke or Suts then, so I had some sort of guidance. By the time the next lap came I'd lost the definition enough for me to need guess work, which just ruins it for me. It's hard to imagine how critical being able to see properly is, until you can't.

Cheers, Zo.

Are the first three pictures from the view that Zo had? :)
Either that or Zo had a sniff of this before the race

That's it fellas, poke fun at the blind guy. Photon fascists :P

Anyway............ ridiculous suggestion coming up.

Cars, Ferrari 365 and Countach LP400, both stock, at Spa, depletion on fast. C/S tyres, of course.

First 20 minute race, half the field in the Ferrari, half in the Lambo. Now, the Lambo is quicker, so those driving that will need to get their skates on because............... For the second race we swap cars and everyone starts from the same position in that race as they ended the previous one. That is, if the chap in second was 7 seconds behind the leader he waits 7 seconds after the start before he sets off, chap in third does the same regarding how far he was behind, etc. In that way we should have the chaps in the Lambos trying to chase down those in the Ferraris for the duration of the second 20 minute race, sort of.

I've got a fool proof randomiser for who starts in what car.

So there you go, Zo.
