Your right dolph, mine got aggravated at me be cause I was gonna fire up the ps3 instead of washing the car Wednesday evening. I told her if I wash the car I would not have time for my game before bed. She said "good maybe you'll sleep all night for a change on your night off".
Yeah right was up at 3:30 am downloading the update. Played till 6. Mine will definitely never understand.
I to remember that 787b race. You and wins both lapped me 3 times in a 45 min race. I remember thinking how fast you guys were. I was thinking I can beat the AI why can't I beat these guys. It was my second race online. You guys didn't race anything like the AI. Ha Ha
Well we certainly don't brake check coming out of the corners like the AI. :boggled:

Long post incoming! Here is the upcoming schedule for FLEX. Let me know if it looks good. 👍 (And yes, I noticed that 2 of the BMW's for this week for some reason race with the top on, which kinda defeats the purpose of a topless racing weekend. Leave it to PD to let you buy convertibles, then only let you actually race a few of them with the top down. :boggled:). Also, the Senna Tribute races do not have a set date right now. They can be inserted anywhere into the schedule (other than July 4th, which will stay the Firecracker 400) or stay at the end. Finally, I know Ascari can be a challenge. If too many people feel uncomfortable or don't want to race there, the venue can be changed. I want to make sure we have a decent amount of people show up.

My only gripe is that the Z8 is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.
Oddly enough, it's the only "convertible" of the three that will actually have its top down for the races Friday night. I'll be honest, I'm not really a fan of convertibles; at least not how they look. But most of them are pretty fun to drive in GT.

The 507 sounds like a mean muscle car with a racing exhaust.

Btw... We've done a lot of Nascar lately... Can it be changed to the FGT or an X2014 car? We've not done an IndyCar race yet. :P

The reason I picked the NASCAR's at Daytona was because it coincided with the Coke Zero/Pepsi/Firecracker/Whatever the Hell You Want to Call It 400. It actually was traditionally run on July 4th until the late 90's when it went to the nearest Saturday night to the holiday. I would like to run the Brickyard 400 too in late July, but if there's going to be people pushing back, I don't want to do it. I know Enduro ran the pseudo Indy 500, so some might not want to race there again anytime soon. But again, it wouldn't be until late July or early August, so maybe people wouldn't mind. I don't know. We can have a vote.

Did you only run the first race, Wins? I don't see you in my 2nd or 3rd race replays and can't remember if you left early. :boggled: Anyway, I'll post the results and race reports in a little while. Have to eat dinner. It looks so tasty.

Turtle Racing League - Race Night Recap

Small crowd for the Camaro SS Racing. However, we did have a couple of Turtles we hadn’t seen in awhile in FLEX; ItsAllAboutWins and lightningdf22b1. And they provided us with some great competition through the night.

The night started off at Deep Forest Raceway in the ‘69 (insert juvenile snicker here) SS, as BionicDerp took pole position. Wins, in his first race back in FLEX, decided he didn’t actually want to start near the front in 2nd, and tried to take off before all the starting lights went out. Meanwhile, the jury is still out on euclid58 as to if he false started, as he too had a slow start himself from the back of the grid. Keeping the car on the track was the name of the game for this one. BionicDerp would go on and take a comfortable win, being careful, consistent, and saving tires. There was some battling going on early before lightning found himself in the grass in the final turn on lap 2 and falling down the running order. Final turn mishaps would come to be a common theme for the race, as we will find out. In fact, one lap later, Wins put a couple of tires onto the outside rumble strip coming out of the corner and found himself nailing the end of pit wall. It turned out to be a costly crash, and unfortunately for him, wouldn’t be his last. DolphDrago would suffer the same fate on lap 10, again with the end of pit lane taking the brunt of the hit. His race of misery wasn’t done either. Lightning made his way back past Dolph after his mishap, where he would finish 2nd. Wins also passed by Dolph, but as mentioned, he wasn’t finished with his rough race. The very next lap he found himself spinning while heading into the first tunnel. Advantage Dolph...or was it? Not a lap later, Dolph noticed the grass outside of turn 1 was getting a little long and decided to start mowing. Advantage Wins...or was it? Once more, Wins slipped coming off the final turn on lap 16 and spun it around like a merry-go-round. Advantage Dolph...or was it? Yes, this time it finally was  He held on to finish in the 3rd position, while Wins would finish the terrifying race in 4th. Euclid rounded out the field in 5th.

Race 2 was a little less wild, and a little shorter as well at 15 minutes. Wins did not partake in any more races for the night, leaving us with 4 drivers for the second competition. Race 1 featured too short of gears in the ‘69 Camaro, and too long of gears was the case with the ‘00 Camaro in race 2 at Trial Mountain. For some reason Gran Turismo thought that Bionic would need the help getting to the front, as it evidently did not reverse the grid. Euclid had another rough start, looping it only a couple of corners into lap 1. Meanwhile, a great battle was brewing up front with Bionic, lightning, and Dolph. This went on for about 5 laps before lightning spun off. After that, it was goodbye for Bionic once again. He kept his car on the track and pulled out another easy peasy win. He slowly, but surely pulled away from Dolph throughout the contest. Meanwhile, lightning worked to regain the time he had lost from his accident. It paid off for him, as lightning flashed (get it? ok, I know it was a terrible pun, so sue me) by Dolph as the white flag was waving. The duo would finish 2nd and 3rd respectively. Euclid once again trotted home in the final position, but never giving in.

GTMX-HECTO1 joined us for the final race at Tokyo Route 246 in the much more manageable ‘10 Camaro SS. Hector may or may not have meant to false start, as he had planned to move to the rear of the pack as the race took off anyway. Bionic and lightning once again had a fantastic battle, this time for 3rd on the first lap. They spent the first half of the lap side by side, not giving an inch. Exciting racing! Euclid experienced a little trouble through the esses after the long back straight, and Dolph got a good run and sped past him. Dolph would never look back, securing the win, and keeping Bionic from completing the trifecta. Euclid, while trying to hang on to his 2nd place position, forgot to apply the brakes for turn 1 of lap 2. He found himself in the wall. Bionic and lightning STILL continued to battle hard. Bionic managed to get around lightning on the front straight to start lap 4, but like euclid, apparently forgot he had brakes and slammed hard into the poor turn 1 guardrail. The rest of the race was relatively uneventful. Hector did give lightning a run for his money for a portion of the race, but ultimately couldn’t get by. Lightning would finish 2nd FOR THE 3RD RACE IN A ROW (poor guy) with Hector in 3rd. Bionic couldn’t recover from his earlier crash and came home 4th, while euclid would round out the field in 5th.

As for the points, the pole position turned out to be VERY important for Bionic, as he eked out a 1 point victory over lightning for the overall standings win. Dolph made too many mistakes and would finish 3rd overall, though only 2 points behind lightning. Euclid grinded it out and came away with 4th. Hector, in his lone race, finished one spot above Wins, in his only race. That led to a 2 point spread, giving Hector 5th overall and Wins 6th.

Overall, a fun night of racing. Three different drivers set the fastest lap for the races. Great racing and fantastic spills. Congrats to the winners! 👍

Edit: Realized I dun goof'd when making the schedule. :dunce: I meant to make this week at the full Autumn Ring course. If you guys have been practicing, then we'll keep it at the Mini course. Otherwise, I'd like to move it to the large one.

So would you guys be opposed to running the full course (in reverse was what I wanted to do) tonight? Or would you rather stick with the mini course because you've (maybe ) practiced that one? Just need to know because I'm planning to start up the room in the next 15 minutes. Wanna make sure anyone who comes in early can practice at the right course.

Room is up. ID# 1472-6399-8966-5890-1763.

Currently at Autumn Ring Full Course Reverse. Can be changed if enough people want to do the mini course.

Hahahahaha I plug in the PS3 and it now just freezes every time it boots... If it ain't broke, don't throw it in a backpack and take it to a different house

Well, crap! I hope it works again when you take it back home. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you'll be able to race at all this week?

Meh... I ain't scared, yet. I'll get it up and running somehow. But probably not by 10... :irked:

If you can still make a race or two, that'd be cool. Always enjoy racing with ya!
Got it. Had to reset back to default settings and all that jazz... But, yea, I'm going be there for race 2 (I'll have someone check my lag first, though... This place may be haunted.)

Alright. Looks like we're going to run 10 minutes for the 1st race. There are only 4 of us in the room right now. Then we'll wait for you.
