Wow, we'd have likely had a battle royale between our picks, bowler....well, maybe not. You're way more consistant than me, but the PP's are rather close to each other

So you guys are racing tomorrow I gather. Let me know if you want me to host on Mondays. If you want me to start this Monday then let me know exactly how you want the night to go...start time, room settings, qualifying time, laps for each track etc and so forth.

Here is my revised and final line up for tomorrow night:

FF - Nissan Cube EX (FF-CVT)'02 pp 317
4WD- Mitsu Airtrek Turbo R '02 pp 415
FR - BMW 330i '05 pp 431
MR - Vauxhall 220 Turbo '00 pp 434
-------
Total pp 1597

All cars have been broken in and with ER under 15k.

We are racing tomorrow/today. Looks like there will be 7 of us. I will start recruiting for Monday night:) I think for Monday I would like to enact the 15 % rule so PP cap will be 1600 and the minimum PP will be 340 and the max will be 460.

I guess the deal is when you pick a very low PP car then you almost guarantee a last place finish. But you aren't guaranteeing a win with your other cars :)
having pp caps would take away from strategy. i know that reguardless of what ff i use im not gonna be fast enough to win any races, so why should i have to waste my points on ff if im not going to be competitive reguardless. (that was my thought process for picking 2cv). if there are enough people in this can end up biting me in the but tho, its a pretty damn big risk
yea, its a really bad strategy probably if more than 5 or 6 people are driving, because getting last with 5 people ill still get 11 points, last with 16 people will only be 1 point
I wish it was a bad strategy but the reality is it is probably the winning strategy. But it goes against the main idea I had. With this strategy we might as well just race 3 500 PP cars. I am happy with having a slower car in one race that gives you an advantage in 1 other race but not when it gives you an advantage in 3 races. So starting next Monday we will run with a 15% rule. So for next Monday the PP cap will be 1600. The minimum PP of your cars can be no lower than 340 and the max will be 460.

If anyone gets a chance can you grab some lap times for cot d'Azur and twin ring motegi? Preferably in something between 400-420 PP so I can figure out the laps we would run?

Thanks

By a weird funky alignment of the planets, I may be able to join tonight.

10pm est start?

Guess i better pick some cars :)

I don't have twin ring so I'll have to sit that track out if we run it.
OK. We will try to stay away from that tonight and figure out how we can make sure you have it for next time.

Sorry for the late notice, but it was way too long of a day working basketball games. Once this league is over with I will have more time.

Thanks to everyone who came out and raced. I had a blast and felt bad for Goat and the disco that stopped him from making the opening race. It was also great to have 88GTA join us from outside the normal S.N.A.I.L. ranks.

Without further ado here are the results.

1st place goes to Nic-KL with 61 pts. Nick's choice of cars was obviouslygood but it was his driving that sealed the win. Well done.

2nd goes to Diabolicwyvern 52 pts. 01000100 01100001 01101101 01101110 00100000 01100011 01111001 01100010 01101111 01110010 01100111 01110011

3rd goes to IceWarden with 51 pts. There was actually a three way tie for 3rd but Ice got the position based on his one 1 win on the night. I predict Ice will not be driving a 2002 again;)

4. Wolfsatz - 51
5. Jobyone - 51
6. Racefan78 - 50
7. Koszak27 - 44
8. ChuthuluGoat - 33*

So the gap from 2nd to 6th was only 2 pts:)

*suffered discos or did not race in all races.

As an update to the Schedule we will now be running the event twice a week. There will be an event run Monday and one run Saturday. Wolf and I will run the Saturday event and JoeW has offered to be race director for Mondays although we could use with a secondary Race director to help out.

So start planning your lineups. Next weeks races will remain at 1600PP although the winner of each night will now get to adjust the PP for the following weeks race. He will be able to adjust the range by up to 25PP +/- or if he chooses he can keep it the same. The second place driver will get to choose the qualifying track for the next week.

The Monday and Saturday events will start to have there own PP limits after next week.

When posting your interest to race please be sure to indicate which night you will be racing.

I have to say that a 25PP change seems really small, considering if you will that is about 6 PP per race…

Nice pics wolf. The IROC vs R32 was a good battle at Daytona. And Joby almost had me at the end. Was that a Lexus you had?

As far as the PP change, 25 seems minimal but it is more about how you use it. If I had my line up from last night with 25 more PP, I would probably have just used it all to upgrade my lowest car, the Fiat. Or I could have used it all to upgrade my 4wd Golf up into the 455 PP range and used a late 90s Evo or STI.

I think 25 is the low side though. Less than that and it is really minimal.

Great pics Wolf:tup:

You guys might be right that 25pts is not much. Anyone else want to chime in?

I forgot to save the Laguna replay which had really good battle for 4th; can you upload to Sugarsynch?

I think 25pp is small gadual change but allows to run a whole different set up!
I like it!

I'm usually not very consistent at daytona road course ,but last night...

lap3 - 2:14.318
lap4 - 2:14.404
lap5 - 2:14.376
lap6 - 2:14.363
lap7 - 2:14.382

A 25pp increase is good I think. There's plenty of cars available around 400pp.

Wow. I thought running every lap at Tsukuba within 1 second was consistent. That is a whole different level. Congrats on the win. Did you let me know what track you want qualifying to be on Monday?
