Good racing last night guys, sorry if I got in anyone's way. I won't be able to make it next Monday but have a good holiday all.

We decided to split it again.

2100 total PP. 1200/900. Qualifying at Fuji F. And the big boys will run first ;)

Of course that means Ken can't run the first round ;)

I had an absolute blast at Spa battling with koszak and bowler for pretty much the whole race. Indy was good until the tyres on the RUF started to go off (or maybe it was just me, lol), then it seemed to be error city and Joe got by around halfway through with Ken nearly following suit at the end :)

Suzuka wasn't the greatest, I only made up positions at the start (thanks to 4WD) and if someone went off, but I usually gave the spot back when I went off.....dang turn 1. Trial Mtn I think I'd have had a really good fight with fox, but he didn't get to grips with his car until late on and couldn't catch me back up in time.

Thats what happens when you bring a cannon to a knife fight for the first race.

Tenative Line up for monday:

1200 pp
4wd- Subaru Impreza Super touring car 574pp
MR- GT Race car by Citreon 626pp

900pp
FF- Volkswagen Scirocco R 445pp
FR- Spoon S2000 455pp

Total 2100pp..

Seems like the spread was a great idea. I will try to adjust the spreadsheet and 1st post to address this. So we will start running splits with a 5% PP range. If anyone does not like this please let me know.

I loved the split pp. Got to run a couple of fast cars and some slower cars. It really throws a bit more strategy into it with the lower and higher pp with the track choices.

I had good races with the higher and lower pp cars.

Koszak - You didn't get in anyone's way. The incident at Indy with me wasn't your fault. That is just racing. That is why I said you didn't have to pull over and wait for me. Watch the race at Suzuka where Bowler punted me off the track on the last lap. Now that is when you pull over and wait. Good job Bowler. 👍

You really have to watch Joe, he is the one that likes to ram the rear...

Just a reminder with the pp split. Who ever wins can make the split an equal split. Example: (800 & 800) or (910 & 910)

This sounds good for Monday.

One thing I would like to do in the future though is keep the total PP for the night capped at 2000. I think this will allow us to have nights where we do have some big hitters come out (1200 means cars from 570-630pp) but will also allow us to keep the overall PP average a bit more manageable for more participants. So if you want to run 1200 for one segment you would run 800 for the second. I just want to try and avoid to many nights of running something like this 1400/1200.

Now if we get enough people interested in running a second class then this might be able to change in the future.

Let me know what you think about this.

We did it on a whim and kind of talked about it in the lobby. Since really only 5 or 6 of us regularly race it was basically a group decision on the spot. Once GT6 hits and the numbers go up then we should probably go back to more of a structured system. Right now we are just trying all kinds of stuff to have some fun and wait for GT6.

Also as a reminder if you have not voted for a track please do so soon. The new tracks will be chosen after the next night of racing. If you have not already voted you get three votes.

One thing I did see while browsing the GT6 screen shots was that the 1978 Trans Am is 410pp out of the dealership. That should be around 424pp or so after oil and break-in and this tells me that muscle cars will continue to be crippled by the system. Bummer.

I wonder how many pp the lunar rover will be? Or that wooden car from GT4? The majority of the new cars for GT6 are race cars so I can't help but think that we will be using the same cars as now only on different tracks and with different physics. That is by no means a complaint by the way.

I hear you about the new cars. I would love to think that the gearing on some of those cars has been fixed. I am also hopeful that the DLC will bring us more production cars. I guess we will have to wait and see about that. I went through the list and found 7 cars I really want to drive:

Clio '11
Focus ST
Megane RS
Boss 302
Impreza Spec C
Light Car Rocket
288 GTO

Plenty of others should be fun but those are my planned purchases.

I have been wondering if we should do something to ensure that we have some shorter, tighter tracks open for selection at all times. Something like reserving one spot in each group of tracks for a small track. This would make racing the lower pp cars a lot more fun in my opinion. It would be as easy as saying that one track from each group must be shorter that 1.49 miles. Personally, I get no joy from running a 380pp car at a huge track with long straights and hills that actually slow down the car.

Also, I really want to drive the x-bow and the Shelby that is returning to GT.

Well, the black Friday thing enabled me to find a wheelstand reduced from $180 to $120 online here so that's a win in my book :)

Edit: test lineup

FF - Ford Focus RS '02 (442pp)
4WD - Subaru LEGACY B4 2.0GT spec.B '03 (457p)

FR - Lexus PETRONAS Tom's SC430 '08 (597pp)
MR/RR - Jaaaaaaaaag XJ13 '66 (600pp)

Well after a bit of work and thanks to the leaked video of the entire GT6 Garage (at least until the first Patch) I now have what I believe is an accurate PP list for GT6. I have used the knowledge of how much PP a car gains (and comparing against similar PP cars) from the dealership. I have updated the Known PP and am working on a GT 6 Known PP (please do not adjust that page). I have PP values for every car except the 15th Anniversary additions and a few odd cars here and there.

Any value that has not been verified but is an estimate is listed as "Guess" I am 99% sure that these values will fall within 1-2 PP of the actual value of a broken in car as long as the PP is under 600. It seems some of the high power cars have bigger gains. If you are going to run a car with a "Guess" value please post in the thread the state of your car and its PP so we can get the PP verified. We have 250 (275 with the 15th versions) that are listed as "Guess" but most of those are high PP cars I never bothered to get values for or the new cars.

In regard to the new cars I did some price checking on the PP favorites

The total value is roughly 1.2 million. It looks like there will be no cheap cars so buy your cars wisely and take advantage of the 15th anniversary versions:)

Of course all this could change with the day 1 Patch:(

I was actually going to run the Saturday endurance tonight until I found out it was going to be over 3 hours in the rain in a lotus.

Yuck. Probably going to surf some public rooms instead.
