Volkswagon director sadly stated that he was disappointed with the Pro-AM's performance but it was an "expected result". He also continued to say that he was elated that the Pro driver was able to find some miraculous pace and kept up with the front runners, "he really exceeded expectations last race".
Going on to Motegi we can expect to be in the middle of the pack but we are "still struggling for pace against the Nissan and Honda team's".

At a recent press conference. Director of operations for race team VW was heard stating, that despite the short comings of the VW teams top gear output. A lot of planning and engineering of the vehicles main platform has been holding fast.
"It is with this sentiment that we believe our team should be able to continue to push hard for championship year. And with a little luck we could see that goal a reality."
With week 3 wrapping up and still 3 more hard fought rounds to be played. It's anyone's guess as to weather team VW ambitions are a possible reality. Or competitive optimism that has over estimated its chances of success in the race for the GT1 championship.

Ones things for sure. If the last 3 rounds are any indication of what to expect moving forward. Then we are all in for a veritable photo finish at the line to see who will reign supreme and who will be left wanting.

Penalties for round 3:
@Kgffy 2:48
@lllTrick 40:59.059
@Ph1sher 2:27.489, 4:56.902, 12:14.245, 16:55.782, 31:55.962, 34:22.276, 35:29.855

Reminder if you think you are out of bounds whether it's an inch or a mile, whether or not you gained time or, Lift! If you lift I won't ding you for it.

One pen, not bad, using d-pad makes it tricky trying not to abuse track boundaries, I definitely was not trying to gain advantage. Nxt couple tracks will not be hard for me. Also are these ir's reported from other drivers or are u watching are every lap, are every move for whole race. I never received msg for ir being filed against me.

I watched the race, no Ir filed against you.

I watch the important turns to watch for mistakes (monza that's every damn turn as an advantage can't be made anywhere else:banghead:) I also watch usually the top 5. as they have the most to gain. I hardly ever watch the bottom 3.

As for watching for an IR message unless i'm looking for clarification of where your head was at at the point of the incident you won't get one.

Your off was a surprise to me also, I was watching the person behind you and was like no not kg rewound it and yep sure did, oh well.

Now I am aware that I am the head/only steward in GT1 but I'm also a racer so I have the right to file, you have the right to counterclaim and then I will choose another GT1er to review the incident. Which is why I put them on the thread so that you know, can review it and counterclaim if you wish. They are not set in stone. Although I have taken the point away It can be erased.

That's why I love snail, especially this series, racing public makes u really appreciate what snail is, except for last Thursday practice felt like public lobby. Watching making sure no one abusing track boundaries I like, just not my every move every lap lol. No contest on my oob, I probably deserved it. I know if every lap was watched Sunday night we would have hundred ir's and if I see someone going out of bounds usually let it go but if a pattern I'll definitely file.

If you just want to try it out bring a car to open practice on Tuesday. If you want to dive head deep into then I'll send you the official welcome :) sound good?

Be sure and check out Page One of the GT-1 thread for the car choices that we are running currently. That will give you a good starting point to join us tomorrow night. Look forward to seeing you on track ....... with the other Aliens. :lol:

Well actually.. since he's not a member he only has to meet the room requirements but yes it would be great if he did :)

Edit: Actually wait a minute, it's not even a requirement for member to bring their specced cars
however it is greatly appreciated lol

I have no idea what you are talking about, but it looks like I have to show up with an Audi coupe TT 3.2 quattro '03 400hp that weigh in at 1,300kg with a set of SS and SM tires. (I guess it is the slowest car, because nobody else chose it?):irked:

It looks like you will be on Twin Ring Motegi full course starting at 0400 in the morning with 10X time progression.

I have a commitment on Tuesday night - why not just plunge in and do a Nike.... (Just Do It)
