Couple hours of tuning and the car I'm fastest with is the one that I feel uncomfortable driving for endurance race, so I'll be picking car I'm slower but in traffic and just haveing fun driving it. Rx7 spirit R type a, white over gold. #48

At this time @Chris Kelley has that car

Never mind just saw he switched

I better cancel my car pick as I probably won't be racing weeks 1 & 2, & don't want to lock out a good car. And, I'm changing my handle to "THC8r" when I buy a PS4.

JCH8r It is totally worth showing up and running the last two races, if not for the experience but it is damn fun as hell to run with this group of guys:cheers:
p.s. I only ran two races last season and managed to lock up fourth place :gtpflag:

we really running Grand Valley Speedway in Reverse? Sure is a different track in reverse:eek::nervous::rolleyes::gtpflag:

Did you know that in GT3, Grand Valley Speedway II (Grand Valley in Reverse) is raced at sunset, rather than the usual partly cloudy day.

Grand Valley Speedway 2(Reverse)

Length: 4.95 KM Longest straight: 820M 17 corners

Grand Valley Speedway 2 is made up of 3 sectors:

Sector one is one of the quickest sectors, it contains the fastest corner on the circuit but has 2 of the slowest, tightest corners on the track.

Sector two is the most technical of the sectors and will greatly affect your lap time. A driver will notice a great deal of time can be lost or made up here.

Sector three is the easiest of the three sectors and allows for the most passing opportunities. It contains 2 hairpins and a set of high speed esses to navigate.

Sector 1

Turn 1 (Speedway Corner)

This is the first turn before the bending straight. Start on the right then get over to the left, gear down as you search for grip then head full-throttle through the turn, hitting the apex right at the dead center of the turn, making use of the small concrete patch on the exit. Don’t be over ambitious on exit or you will end up spinning out or worse in the far left wall barrier! Now bring it up through the gears and head to the next set of corners.

Turns 2-3 (Valley Switchback)

After setting yourself up, dive into Turn 2. Hit the apex and stay on the bottom until the exit. Then, late-apex Turn 3 and avoid the grass on the left side of the small exit kink heading onto the straightaway.

Turns 4 (Overlook Tunnel Turn)

This is an off camber tire shredding left hander that seems to go on forever. Just keep your eyes on the road-don't start gazing off into the shamelessly stunning countryside on the right side of the turn. Find a speed that your car can hold and use your throttle to hold onto the inside/apex of your racing line. After exiting this turn keep to the right side of the track and try not to touch the wall on exit, this will set yourself up for the following left-right. Congratulations you got through sector one now on to the tough part of the circuit.

Sector 2

Turns 5-6 (Tunnel Two and Daylight Turn)

After slowing down to make the corner entry of turn 5 aim to the apex of this terribly off camber uphill turn. Careful use of the car throttle thorough here. Don't get up on that curb, it'll send you flying into the opposite wall if you're not careful. After that corner turn 6 is not much better you will have to slow again to get through this tight off camber right hander. Stick to the inside and let the car slowly out to the left and into the tunnel.

Turn 7 (Cliff Corner)

This is a completely different corner on GVS2. Brake hard before entry, caution don’t swing out wide! After reaching the apex only give it about 50-70% throttle . This will allow you to set up for turns 8,9 and 10

Turns 8-9-10 (Waterside Turns)

Hopefully you have your car underneath you still and you can turn it left into this complex of turns (Left, Left, Right). After entry, lead your car to the right side and let up on the throttle to get to the apex of the nearly-identical left hander turn 9. Don’t mash the throttle just yet, you will have to get your car to quickly change direction a short distance away through the uphill slightly cambered turn 10. Stick to the inside of 10, this will set you up for the next corner to come. Stay off of the curbs on each of these turns or you will unsettle your car and you might end up spinning out!

Turn 11 (Six)

After Turn 10, get back to the right side of the road and accelerate as hard as your car will let you. It is a tightening right hander that has a small bit of camber on entry that disappears on exit so be careful not to let you car drift wide into the grass. Congratulations, you have officially exited the toughest sector of GVS2 without leaving the track. Let's see if we can keep that momentum up

Sector 3

Turn 12 (Fairway Hairpin)

Take the entrance of Turn 6 moderately wide and under hard braking. Be careful to judge your braking distance wisely this is a steep down hill braking zone and it is easy to go wide and let your competition past you on the inside. Coast through the turn and aim toward the curb at a 75 degree angle. Get back on the accelerator as soon as you leave the turn, taking care not to hit the curb or grass and accelerate up the hill.

Turns 13, 14 and 15 (Esses)

After that comes the intimidating high speed right-left-right. Tag the inside of turn 13 at full throttle and get it straightened up for turn 14. Do not tag the curb or it will cause your car to slide to the outside and into the grass on exit if you are not careful, brave drivers can take this corner at full throttle. Stray the car to the middle slightly for the entry of the last high speed corner turn 15. Avoid the curb to the right but hug this and the bravest drivers can take this corner flat out at full speed. WARNING!! DO NOT let your car run wide on turn 15 or you will crash out on one or both side walls from the resulting spin from touching the grass on exit. Safely navigating this will bring you to the last two corners of the track.

Turn 16 (Stadium Hairpin)

This is an excellent opportunity to give the crowd something to cheer about, the wide entry and corner allows for several racing lines for passing. Start your car on the right side and swing it back to the left for the following 180 left hander. Upon exit is where traffic will start bottlenecking, so be sure to use your rear-view mirror wisely here and give drivers some space to exit cleanly or enter the pit entrance.

Turn 17 (Kink)

Turn 17 is the small right-handed kink at the start of the front straightaway. Given proper timing and entry, it can be taken full-throttle by any type of car. Stick to the inside and make your competitor try and draft around you as you mash the gas pedal and race to the finish line.

That would be an interesting and challenging setup. Want to try it?

I've got no problems with not running defaults time for any track possible give me times I'll put them on the schedule

Okay. Let me run a few laps/times of day and I'll let you know what I suggest.

Never mind the Time-of-Day variable - not available.

Calling all GT1 Racers,

I would like to ask around does anyone know how to tune cars exceptionally?
I ask because it would be nice to have some more people help out with tuning.

And @JCH8r like @Scorpion0001 said this league is a league where we have fun:) (At least most of the time)
So come show up the last two weeks and if that is all you can commit to and have fun with us

I'll be back on the PS3 after New Year, just not sure when. I'll definitely be back for last 2 races in January.

Tuners in GT1(that I know of): Jake, Scorp, Birdy, War. These are the ones I have spent time tuning with no aids or help from computers for a base tune.

Are you aloud to change if the car is free?
you are allowed to change until the start of the race on Jan 6th. The cost of the car to you is irrelevant. The only reason for the picks is to stop the first to the pole mentality and to give everyone a chance to pick the good cars. Especially with the 1 car per class stipulation.
