I just want to thank everyone that has participated in this series. I can't believe how much the track time with you guys has improved my times. Though I'm far from the fastest, you guys have pushed me to being a lot faster. And the full grids are amazing. There is always a new pit strategy or new way to drive the track, that I feel everyone here learns so much in one race that it a good thing we run two do that we can adjust accordingly.

A special thanks to @GGGMotorsport for putting this all together and keeping it organized for us all. (Though his obsession of numbers will one day overwhelm us all)
If it weren't for this series I would have stopped racing about a month ago, due to some faulty driving of my own I felt that I just wasn't competitive enough. But if there is anything this season has taught me (new guys and guys that have been here from day one have proven time and time again) TRACK TIME makes all the difference. Practice, practice, practice, and remember calm, clean, and consistency will prevail.

Sorry for the rant. I've been thinkin a lot about this coming Wednesday and just need to express some insight as to what this series has done for me.

It's clearly evident how your pace has improved over the last while and you're definitely Team Zeat's number 1 driver. Good job! 👍

Important Notice to all Race Car series participants:

Update 1.12 rolled out at midnight on Monday (last) night. The download is just under 500 MB. I downloaded in under 5 minutes, HOWEVER -- including the installation process, in total, it took about 35 minutes.

If you plan to race on Wednesday, be sure to load the game well ahead of time to ensure you will not miss the start of KOQ or the race itself.
If your a wheel user you especially want to get this update and get back on the track to get used to the physics with your wheel again.

Just read the FFB update thread. Not too excited to get home tonight and experience the changes myself.

I was really looking forward to cruising Sierra tonight... And now I'm probably going to spend hours trying to get (close to) comfortable again instead...

I'll just race it tomorrow night and see what happens. I thought it was a full length test for next season. That'd be awesome.

See you in two months?

I kid... I kid... I'm about to do the same. :nervous:

Soooooo light
Actually, I ran the FFB pretty light before so this was not a big issue for me. Increased the FFB on the wheel a bit only now I can feel the curbs and when the car loses grip so much more now. For me, the update is great and love the new feel. The again, I'm on a Fanatec GT3 RS wheel.

The Fanatec wheels don't seem to be affected as much as everyone else. I use the Fanatec Carrera 911 wheel and the new settings are perfect for me.

My CSW feels completely different. All sense of grip just feels gone. Gonna have to really mess around with it a lot tonight. I've only done the FT-1 VGT though, so I'll just open a lobby and run recent combos for a more fair comparison. Maybe it's just the car that is giving me trouble right now. I really hope so.

I just ran a test with the new FFB settings with the Indy combo from last night and I have to say, I like having the capability to adjust the sensitivity along with the torque force. The torque is much reduced on the G27 but there seems to be much more being sensed now so I feel the road and car better. FFT =4 and FFS = 10 I didn't gain any time, nor did I lose any. When the car gets loose though I seem to be able to feel it better and control slides much better. We'll see how it works in the 'vette at Tokyo tomorrow night.

I am questionable for tonight after being told there's a mandatory work event downtown I'm going to. I sincerely hope I will return in time to feed & walk the dogs with enough time remaining to do KOQ.

Please make sure that if you have NOT installed the 1.12 update that you give yourself plenty of time to to install it prior to KOQ/Main Event. It took me 30 mins for the entire process.

Additionally, prior to anyone joining the lobby (KOQ or Main), please clear your cache to help ensure quality connection. Thanks

That was essentially Parcells take too. I'm using the Elite, noticed that both settings were at the 8 level (pretty sure that's what I had before) so just let them be. The Albarth around the new track did seem quite floaty but it's an Albarth for crying out loud.

Then I tried the new Toyota Vision seasonal event as well as the Ayrton Senna one and all seems well!

I have my CSW on torque 10 and sensitivity 8, with the internal wheel force boosted to 130%. I might drop it to 120% tonight, Or maybe adjust in game torque down one or two for comparison.

With the current 10/130 I ran the fiat on Sierra and it was nice. Light, but not non-existent. Jumped in the vette at Tokyo and it had a much clearer weighted feeling especially in the sweepers, like I would expect. Shows more variability than the fixed "7" I used to run, which didn't really vary in feel from car to car.

As a result of the ability to boost in game FFB with my wheel controls, I'm really liking where this has gone now.

I do feel bad for those who feel uncomfortably light and can't boost their wheel FFB... Namely G2x users who prefer a little more weight. There's no "right" feel, all a matter of preference. Unfortunately many on the higher weight end have gotten hosed.

I just read that there wad a ninja update early this morning that has changed the ffb yet again. May not have time to test it before the race so it could be interesting.

I'm going to try to get inside the KOQ and since its a flat track it might work to my advantage. So far we are about average in the season floating in the middle so anything could happen!

There was a mini update yesterday too.. What was that For ?

I think that was to push the GTA car to garages for folks who updated to 1.12 before they finished server maintenance. I say that bc I updated to 1.12 before bed Monday night and didn't get the gift. It also noted that servers were still under maintenance.

Then last evening, got that hot fix, and received the gift before the main menu showed up.
