For all those with the ability to make videos from replays I have a question for you. How many SHELLS would it take for you to make one for me?

1,000,000, please use your best Mike Meyers voice.

What are you looking for?

Happy belated birthday Chris, aka Chatva! I had a keg of beer and a cupcake delivered to your home. Hope it's still there when you get home!

I intercepted delivery of that keg and added it to my kegerator. I can't speak for the cupcake as I have no interest. It may very well be on his doorstep.

By the way, Happy Birthday to DragonWhisky and Chatva

Psst, rally :sly:

Guys I had a question for the Mazda Laguna Seca time trial, should I disable Skid Recovery force or it doesn't matter?

Thanks!

From the instructions on the time trial form, "Set Driving Options as follows:
Transmission - your choice
Front Tires - Sports: Hard
Rear Tires - Sports: Hard
Driving Line - Off
Blind Spot Indicator - your choice
Active Steering - Off
Traction Control - 0
Active Stability Management - Off
ABS - your choice (S.N.A.I.L.s typically run 1)
Controller Steering Sensitivity - your choice"

Active Stability Management = Skid Recovery Force

Wow! Thanks everyone!

Just got my pedal set back together. Will be testing it out in a bit. Put the old brake in the clutch, but as Rally advised, left the go fast pedal spring alone. Not sure if any of the other G27 pedal owners know this, but you can adjust the spacing on the pedals. It's not much, but it is an adjustable set.

Might have to sip a cup o' birthday cheer and tip the glass to all of you.

Thank you, but it seems at least in this menu there are two different options for ASM & Skid Recovery force. I'm not sure if either influence each other's settings. But I guess it would just imply that both have to be off.

Skid recovery force should be off for the time trial. It is not the same as Active Stability Management. ASM actually exists in real life on many cars. SRF is a completely fictional aid that gives a car in game more grip when the tires start to skid.

Oh man, I thought I got all the settings ...

Will check in a bit.

To confirm all aids off, except ABS.

Can't get enough of GT6 with your fellow SNAILS? Then why not come join the Performance Cap Racers. We spend the night making fun of JoeW having fun and driving. Rumors are some people drink but as a Virtual MADD Mother I do not approve of such behavior.

Two years ago today, the Sunday Night American Interactive League made it's GTPlanet debut. The S.N.A.I.L. O.P. was born and the beginning of what has become one of the most successful sim racing leagues in Gran Turismo history.

Congratulations to @zer05ive, @kcheeb and the entire SNAIL community. What a hell of a ride it has been so far. My run with this League has been just spectacular. For almost a year and a half, it has been something that I have always looked forward to. It has always been interesting and fun. God knows that I don't win very often and I have never had an over all Sunday win. There are other long time members that are in the same boat as I am but we still keep coming back. Some would say that coming in last most of the time would get old and be grounds to just quit. I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me from time to time but winning is only a small part of why we show up. I am impressed day after day with just how cool and generous all of our members are.

Thanks to the SNAIL Marketplace and an amazing member, I am racing in a proper driving rig. It is changing everything! Not too long ago one of our members remarked that he won;t have the funds to get his own copy of GT6 and within no time there were offers to purchase a copy for him. Once upon a time I was also supplied with DLC cars and tracks so I would not miss out on any racing, also courtesy of one of our members. As I write this, there a SNAIL key chains being hand made by another one of our members. I know of at least 50 people that would love to have one. Myself included.

The brotherhood within *just* the thread is something that is exceptionally rare. I have always thought that if I were to ever start a company and have to go to war, I would want all of SNAIL behind me. From the leadership to management and the enthusiasm of the members, every aspect of our League is enjoyable and productive. It is very rare to find this level of camaraderie, respect and friendship in any form these days.

Take this mentality to the track and that really increases the level of fun. Yes, we are a bunch of gorillas and sometimes there is a little heat on the track but the racing is as good as it gets. I show up every Sunday night with the hope of a win but the main thing I look forward to are the intense battles. The position doesn't matter. It is getting together with another diver and thinking "awe-right! here we go!" Win, lose or draw, the fight is why I come here. I couple of weeks ago, I actually had the lead in one of our races. Another driver was hot on my trail for several laps. And then it happened. He took my lead. This driver was patient and took several laps to set me up. When it was time, he made the pass. He also held it for the win. Normally I would have been bummed about it but to witness and be a part of such a perfect pass was way cooler than the win would have been. It's a little silly but it really makes a statement on why this League is so successful.

There are many things I am proud of in my SNAIL world. The ones that mean the most to me are my one year star and that I am in the top 5 for most races attended. I am a weird cat and tend to lose interest in things pretty quickly and the fact that I am still this excited really says a great deal about our organization. We are going to have to come up with a new name for The One Year club. Starting today, we are going to have members with two gold stars. In 4 months I will get my second star. I think that is pretty damn cool!

I have mentioned it before but I have played almost every incarnation of Gran Turismo that PD has put out. I have been there since GT1. I know there are issues with GT6 but I am choosing to ignore them. GT6 is a new game for me on many levels. The most significant one being that I am beginning this new journey in a most awesome race rig and that I am approaching this new game with all of the SNAIL philosophy. In the past I used all aids, a grossly over powered car, racing softs and the bull in a china shop approach to track etiquette.
This time around I am running strictly with the SNAIL rules. No tuning, League approved tires and not contact. It is so much harder but so much more fun. For the first time I feel like I am playing the game as it was intended.

I can't thank everyone that is SNAIL for such an amazing and fun organization. I see so much in our future. The next few days, months and years are sure to provide an even more exciting experience for all of us.

Race Clean, Race Hard, Race S.N.A.I.L.
Happy Birthday S.N.A.I.L. and Happy Birthday @Dragonwhisky and @chatva!!

As part of the Hot Hatch series, I am screaming around Spa in a pink RUF 3400S and holy cow is is it fun! This is SO a SNAIL combo!
