Anyone else having problems downloading this update. I get to the first initial download screen and it just sits there at 0%.....forever, have waited it out and eventually got the "An error has occurred during the download operation" Code 80710017. I have experience a few triple beep shut downs during this process also. I am wired, tried resetting everything, still nothing. Never had any problems like this before. Solutions, suggestions??????????

Excited for the new track, Angry about them concentrating on Vision GT cars instead of real cars, don't really care about B-spec mode.

At this point I'm more excited about the undocumented changes than the documented ones.

Kudos to PD for delivering additional cars and tracks free of charge though. Can't say the same for many other racing game franchises.

Is it possible to uninstall a patch and just roll back 1 version?

I'd like to make a test?
The wheel bouncing issues seems now reduced somehow? I want to roll back and see if it's an issue with the last update or if it was something else?

Any ideas on how I can get back to 1.15 to make some tests?

Try to download the update without starting GT6

1. Go to GT6 disc
2. Triangle
3. Check for updates
4. Let update install
5. After install, disconnect from the internet
6. Launch GT6
7. GT6 screen will pop-up and install the add-on
8. Once reached menu screen GT6, reconnect to the internet

Anyone with a Gran Turismo 2 save on their PS3 has downloaded the update yet ? I'd like to know if there is really some kind of surprise or easter egg before dusting off my GT2 CD tonight.

Do not count on that. 99.99% on bad translate.

Ok
I have deleted the entire 14gb of updates lol :)

I'm now re dowoading 1/15 and counting...

Can one advise how I can get it to stop at 1.15 so I can yes FFB and then install the 1.16 after my tests are complete. If they have indeed fixed the wheel shake issue this could be great for wheel users who are/were experiencing this.

Any advice on how to do this?

Edit:
Currently on 4/15 shall I just pull the internet at 14/15? Will that allow me to get to 1.15 and then update 1.16 after testing?

Of course I don't count on a GT2 update. I just thought they could have somehow checked if you had a GT2 save on your PS3 to unlock something in GT6. That's how it sounded like, although I don't really believe they would make such thing.

Ok piled the plug at 1.06 as a test (save time if it doesn't work) and holy **** is the force feed back HEAVY !
That's insane !

It was set to 5 and I needed both hands and flappy paddles as it was so heavy to turn the car (used the focus St ainv)

The wheel was also violently oscillation when in motion (even as low as 10mph) but ONLY when you gave it a nudge to start it off (so overall not bad, but not perfect)

I'm now deleting the install again,
Testing up to patch 1.15 (maybe prev1.12 if anyone is interested? (Otherwise this is just a log for me to refer to and I'll do 1.00, 1.06, 1.15 and 1.16)

I'm now 90 percent sure that FFB changes were implemented here for ALL cars!

So, undocumented thread thinks there is a change to physics, as a ds3 user I cannot really tell, we need more confirmation.

Ofcourse there are no physics changes in the latest update. As always we have guys, playing a game after a break, and feeling things that do not exist. This has happened pretty much after every update. Placebo and nothing more.

P.S. And i have just ran my usuall tests and ofcourse, no changes to acceleration and top speed physics. Still unrealistic and broken.

@YZF Perhaps the difference they feel is actually force feedback changes!

I have just tested 1.16...
Then rolled back to 1.00, 1.06 and now heading up to 1.12 or 1.15 and so far, I can categorically state there is indeed FFB changes in 1.16...

I'm just trying now to figure out exactly what they are to what degree!

downloading the update now I cant wait is the new seasonals up aswell?

Edit: yep I saw the new seasonals and I still need to complete the seasonals from Last Week

Yes, there is limited like Autumn Ring.

Ah, that's disappointing. They went all the way with Apricot Hill's revive, was hoping they'd do the same here.

I've always wondered what classics like Midfield, Grand Valley, and Deep Forest would look like at night. Maybe for GT7.

And I still driving around the midfield both offline and online (along with 11-15 other online players) i had a lot of fun driving around.

Inside Sim Racing Special about 1.16 Upodate and the Mini VGT. There is also a Hot Lap Competition going on, Darin Gangi did a 6:53 on the Nordschleife and a 1:11 on Midfield in this car:

What was his exact Midfield time? I was messing about with the mini on there and got a 1'11.378 without ever going into the car settings and bb of 5/5. It took 3 laps and there's still a lot of time to be gained.

Regarding the update I like the inclusion of B-Spec and having Mid-Field added to the track list,

The following I don’t mean to be down but more of a observation.

A larger issue that comes to light now that we've received the update, seems to be PD hasn’t been working with
a overall plan of how GT6 was to ultimately come together. I had assumed that the number of 24 hour time/weather tracks that PD was amassing and pulling B-Spec, endurance races, tire/fuel wear out of the games original release was leading up to some bigger purpose of tying everything together. Now that we have the update it appear that PD has been building a house with no plans, just jumping onto one thing or another, no organization, this probably explains the odd update features that get added in updates that seem to come out of left field, but not the things that need to get fixed.

I had hoped with B-Spec inclusion that we would see tire and fuel.

Its is also possible that everything works together, but on 7 not 6, it really does make sense to me that they just give us something promised, why would we get worse bspec than gt5? OR PD is really stupid as you said
