2009 Singapore Grand Prix

So what's his fuel load now???

I assume it's the same - but I guess he could change it as he's broken parc ferme already...

Therefore I'd assume he's going a lot longer now... unless he's going to "do an alonso"

EDIT : BBC has Heidfeld down as lap 15 for predicted pit stop...

Damn... KERS problems for Lewis? This could change the complexion of the entire race... (as if Nico's jump on Vettel hadn't already!)

Webber told to let Alonso through because he passed him off the track on lap 1...

Edit: Fisichella retook his position from Liuzzi in exactly the same place but under waved yellows and with several laps completed... No news on a penalty yet.

No position gained... no position to cede... right? Right? Are they rewriting the rulebooks on the spot, this time? EDIT: Fisichella is driving a Ferrari, doesn't he get one "Get out of Jail Free" card?

New conspiracy theory! Sutil wants to move to Red Bull next season! He's bunching up the cars so Vettel can pass Rosberg for sure when he takes his penalty! :D

Or another, Rosberg wants the seat in some Mercedes powered team so he stays out a bit longer to harass Vettel while Hamilton makes his escape... :odd:

Webber's right front brake has got lots of black smoke coming out of it. 17 laps to go.

Update. He's gone off and is out.

Webbers brakes seem to have finally toasted themselves. Red Bull really just don't have any luck do they?

Still good for Brawn and Rubens :D

EDIT: Both Torro Rosso's retired?

Conspiracy Theory Part Three! Webber went off so Vettel could pass everyone who is going to pit!

Then Vettel will go off to end the race under a safety... to... wait-a-minute...

Going to guess that it is probably related to their fuel rig problems earlier on in the race.

Perhaps they're worried about the brakes??? Remember STR and RBR share the same equipment...

EDIT : Comfirmed that they have brakes problem source from Button's race engineer..

The Toro Rosso's retired because one car had a brake problem and the other one with gearbox problem.

Edit. Button's brakes have had black smoke coming out of the right front.

Strangely similar to Kimi's non-penaly at Spa...

Amazed at that - and the lack of anything for Fisi for passing off-track under waved yellows.
I thought that Liuzzi passed Fisi under yellows so Liuzzi let him back through. It was tricky to see exactly where the yellows were.

Hamilton wins it... but the real winner in this race of attrition has got to be Jenson Button... as this fantastic result for him.... finishing ahead of two of his rivals and not far behind Vettel. 👍

Yeah that really made me mad!!! Anyway, even mad for Sutil that caused an end for Heidfeld's record...

Fantastic race victory for Hamilton, also for Glock and Alonso!!! Good race too for Kubica and I felt sooo sory for what happened to Heidfeld... Not really a great race for RBR though, but still finished in 4th place ain't that bad... For the conclusion, WHAT A BORING RACE ...

Great drive from Lewis... silly mistakes from Vettel & Rosberg...

Jenson increases his lead - Brawn increase their lead... 1 win for Jenson should them both winning the championship I reckon.

Sutil was silly (And might well get penalised for it)

Should Red Bull have retired Webber? Wasn't it dangerous to send him back out?
2 other drivers retired through brakes by parking it in the pits... Webber parked it on Turn 2?

As far as I recall, not a single legitimate on-track overtake performed after the first lap, is that a first?

Well on my opinion, I think Red Bull should've retired Webber because they know that the brake won't last any more longer... For safety reason, they should've retired him and letting him back out is dangerous...

Luckily, he crashed at the first corner and not running straight to the... should I call it ''water wall''??

Depends... Should every driver park their car when they've got their fourth race on the gearbox? Should Lewis have parked in the pits due to dead KERS? These are team decisions... and unless something is flapping in the wind and ready to come off, it's hard to say whether or not they should retire a car.
