Qualifying isn't that interesting. We need a downpour for q3.
Wrong...!

Great job Hulkenberg! He was fast in practice earlier, and they got their timing spot on in Q3! Great stuff, and it could really mix things up in the race tomorrow!

Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go nico!!!!!! Don't even care that Vettel's 2nd!

As a Williams fan I absolutely love the fact that Hulkenberg got pole! (though I'm not a fan of him) I wish Kamui did better today aswell but Williams finally on Pole again, Hell yeah xD
Kamui vs Jenson in Brazil again tomorrow? :P Could be fun to see Kamui overtake a bunch of people as usual or fight with Jenson like last year

Not just the fastest but he was 1.1 seconds faster. I take back what I said. A Williams emloyee just said good effort to hulkenburg.

Williams haven't had a pole since Europe 2005 with Heidfeld.

Cosworth's last pole was, from my knowledge, France 99 with Stewart (badged Ford, but it was a Cosworth).

Been a while, hasn't it?

And I thought it was Rubens who will be the challenger in Q3. Congrats to Hulkenberg. Can't wait to see how he does in the race

I wasn't expecting this really.. Nico Hulkenberg on pole!?! Hard to believe but it is :D

Great result for the Williams. Haven't been quite there for the last 5 years but now the nailed it again... We'll see the continuation of the excitement tomorrow 👍

Fantastic for Williams, a proper racing team who deserve to be up there, shame its been so long but this kind of result might help them get a few more quid from a sponsor in the off-season.

What a couple of laps from The Incredible, he had the top 2 times. Looking like a very interesting race tomorrow. Alonso is a bit caught in the field so has to be very careful getting round the first few corners, can't wait.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:

No one saw that coming. Williams haven't won a GP in years, I hope Nico can pull it off ,but with 2 Red Bulls behind hi, I can see Vettel, or Webber taking him out.

Aah...if only. Too bad we're expecting dry weather tomorrow...and he has the damn Red Bulls behind him.

I'm not sure Red Bull will be able to overtake him on this track. They'll be faster in the middle sector but it's only really turn 1 and maybe turn 4 that you can overtake here. It might give Ferrari and Mclaren a chance though.

It's obvious he's not going to win, but we can hope. But I hope that stops Williams from accepting Maldonado and his wad of cash.

This is madness!

Madness?

Yes it is. I was laughing hysterically. I mean, he was over a second faster than them. I think Hulk has already earned himself an infinite improbability drive of the race, and the race hasn't even started yet. Very impressive. I can definitely see him on the Williams ship next year.

Yes, it's VERY obvious, especially being that he grabbed pole by over a second

It was drying conditions though. Also, hulkenburg is a much faster qualifyer then racer. I want him to win though, especially after that lap. He put in his lap and I said Alonso will beat it, he didn't, Webber will beat it, he didn't, Hamilton will beat it, he didn't, come on now, Vettel will beat him, nope. Hulkenburg is then coming up the hill and goes a second faster, and this is a very short track.

I dont get Speed channel so ya'll are my eyes and ears. You did a great job last race and I hope to see those posts flying again tomorrow ..its actually quite fun to follow the races 'live' this way! Anyway, thanks.

Amazing result in Quali - shame RB's are ahead of Lewis... maybe he can bag them at the start though...

Vettel winning, Lewis 2nd, Webber 4th and Alonso about 7th would be almost perfect for the final race... (Personally I would prefer Vettel and Alonso getting no points - but it would be less exciting next weekend!)

C.

Managed to stay awake to 3am to watch it. Fell asleep in the add break 3 minutes before it started :grumpy:👎

Come here and Hulk is on poll wtf

*pours bucket of water over head*

Nope, it wasn't a dream, I did just see Hulkenberg take pole by over a second.

That is one of the craziest things I have ever seen, the funniest part was Vettel thinking he had missed pole by a tenth, only to realise it was over a second. That must have been a bit of a shock for him.

Fantastic stuff from Nico 👍

Great job by Hulkenberg but I think if the other drivers had time for an extra lap they would beat his time as the track conditions were improving every lap. He was in the right place at the right time and he used it well.
