Red Bull 1-2 in both sessions. Looking quite dominant, but Alonso not far off. P3 should give a more accurate impression of where we're at.

Massa had a Transmission failure of something on the kerbs of Turn 2. If he needs a new box, could make his potential contribution to the race and WDC irrelevant if he is down in 10th or lower.

Senna faster than Klien, but barely. Both of them ahead of Glock. Not too far behind the other Virgin and Lotuses. Maybe we'll see some new team battles tomorrow.

Lotuses 4 tenths away from Alguersauri. This time Alguersauri is pretty close to the rest of the field. Trulli is a second slower than Liuzzi who is closer to the midfield.

Ahaha Petrov nice. What happened? I was too tired to watch it. Looks like he thought the car over-steered then counter-steered way too much? or was he just trying to warm up his tires but failed epicly?

The F duct was stuck on, so there was a lot less rear downforce, causing the car to oversteer, he tried to correct it, but he couldn't, so he got barrier'd.

PS - btw, any news on his car/gearbox? If it needs changed he'll get a grid penalty.

I'm seeing news that Massa had a Geabox problem, but i'm also hearing that he suffered a clutch failure. I'm just wondering which problem caused him to stop out on the track.

It was apparently an electrical issue that caused the clutch to disengage, so presumably there will be no grid penalty associated with the repair.

well.. if the boys finish in the right position this weekend, we will see an absolutley rediculous showdown in abu dahbi next race. Fernando Alonso's and ferraris strategy this weekend should be Massa winning the race taking P1 and the points away from everyone else should anything happen to Alonso. If nothing should happen to Alonsos ferrari i look to see him on the podium. As far as qualifying goes i look to see a possible ferrari 1 2 with one of the red bulls in third. Thats if the red bulls dont get poll and second. And as far as being down to the "wire".. i think brazil is the "wire" for these teams. The points standings are soooo close now.. At this point anything can happen.. Personally im all for Hamilton and the Mclaren team. But like i said, if they finish in the right positions its a shootout in the final race.

Free practice 3 is on now. It's wet out there. It's not raining though. Hopefully qualifying is wet to give the engineers a bigger headache.

Just saw the 3rd practice aswell, not very telling because the top runners didn't do any fast 1 lap runs at the end of the session when the track whas much less wet than in the beginning of the session....Kubica whas the only one and whas immediately much faster than anybody else...

So quali will be extremaly interesting as more rain is expected for quali, and tomorrow it will most certainly be dry...

As said by Akmuq, lots of headaches for the engineers and drivers for with wich stratigy to go...

spy.

Can anyone actually believe that Vettel has only won 3 races this year? It certainly doesn't feel like it.

F1 on BBC1 HD baby, oh yeah!

I was wondering why I wasn't getting it, and it is because I was looking at the BBC HD channel... I didn't realise that BBC1 HD is a new channel, and you will probably need to re-scan your Freeview HD box to find it...

As for the picture quality, it looks good, even though it is only upscaled and not true HD.
