I think webbers only chance is that he pits with like 20 laps to go, makes the softs work, and relies on the cars infront to have tire wear issues, we'll see, my estimation when down the drain when webber told his crew his tires are slowly starting to go.

That's put paid Webber's race. Hamilton past for P1... Alonso sure to do the same in the next few laps.

Webber's rear tires look like garbage now. And he pits.

RBR really dropped the ball. As the only front-runners on hards, they already knew the hards wouldn't go the distance when they started losing ground to teams that had just done their pits... and yet Webber wasn't switched to softs on his first pit to take advantage of a two-stopper.

Sure, creative pitting got him the lead for a while, but mathematically, the win was never going to happen...

Now the question is, will Hamilton pit? Bridgestone guys are saying that he will, but the McLaren guys are saying that he is good to stay out for the rest of the race.

He might have to. The race now seems to be which of the front four can go to the end without pitting. It's an enduro now instead of a sprint.

EDIT: And as I say that, Button passes Alonso!

Hamilton is going to ruin the tires. I still think Alonso could win this although I think its more likely that Button will.

Slo-mo footage of the McLaren and Ferrari rears show them to be in much better condition than Webber's tires were when he started losing ground to Hamilton. They'll make it to the finish line.

Lewis being told to look after his tires. He hasn't asked if Button is on the same strategy yet...

If it comes down to a sprint for the finish in the last three laps, Alonso and Button have slightly better tires than Lewis.

EDIT: Schumi and Massa's little spat will be up for review at the end of the race, too. Lots of bashing in this race...

Great race, great result for McLaren 👍 Great to see such a good race at Montreal too.... Schumacher drove like a totally numpty all day - delighted that he didn't finish in the points. I also suspect that his antics today will earn him so many grid place drops, he might as well be starting the next race in Barcelona.

McLaren 1-2 huh? Haha.. Yes, the best race so far this year. Congratulations to Hamilton, Button and Alonso. Well I thought Alonso could pass Button but he dropped it later. I also thought one of the Lotus could get a point but that didn't happen. Great to see both FI made it into the top 10 position.

Anyway, that obviously was a fantastic race!

EDIT: I am not happy with how Schumacher drive today. He's being way to aggresive with his former teammate Massa and even with Liuzzi. That Kubica pit lane entry was a win!
