2011 Australian Grand Prix

Webber's on a three-stopper by the looks of it. He pitted rather early considering he had the hard tyres on.
With two stops before the halfway point in the race that seems like it's pushing it.

The temperatures in Australia aren't even hot. I can't imagine what Sepang is going to do to the tires.

Its a bit of a push to think they radio'd Massa in the 3 seconds between the incident and Alonso coming by.

Great move Uncle Rubens 👎 Rosberg has no luck.

I wonder if Hamilton is preserving his rubber for when Vettel starts whining his tyres are suffering.

There was significantly more than 3 seconds.

I'm disappointed with the steward's decision to give Barrichello only a drive through penalty. He caused an accident that took another car out.

Well apparently Pirelli's soft tyres are more durable than the old Bridgestones. I forget what the others say about the hard tyres...

Uhhhhh........

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even the super soft Bridgestones could last longer than the Pirelli softs.

Very good Petrov. Was thinking Hamilton would be able to get Vettel at the end because of tyre conserving but the floor I think is in bits.

Is anyone else having trouble opening the live timing data from F1.com?
It worked fine for me during all practices and qualifying.

Thanks.

Very impressed with Petrov right now, and it seems Webber will finish in 4th or 5th. Bah.

Hamilton is sweeping up and trimming the grass.

It isn't working for me either.

The F1 app isn't either.

Those tire changers on the front right of Button's car were stoked they did so good. Anyone else notice that?

Anybody see what tires they're on? Seems like they're both on hards... maybe gambling on the rubbered-in track giving more grip.

+1 on the Pirellis... they're making for a great spectacle. Making tires that suck on purpose? It works.

Next question: Artificial rain, yay or nay? :D

Oh... and Live timing works for me. No issues here... strangely. I usually can't get on at all.

Apparently Vettel went onto softs and Hamilton hards. Hamilton won't be stopping again then...

And Sergio Perez has set the fastest lap of the race apparently. :D

Is it allowed to lap cars with the DRS in the DRS zone?
I know that it doesn't pick up the amount of laps but it might not be allowed.

Fastest lap of the race... 1:29s now... by Perez!

If Hamilton is on the hards... he might just be able to pass Vettel when he pits next. The RBRs are really suffering from tire wear in this race...

It will not open for me. I imagine it's because the site is getting hammered with a lot of traffic.

Thanks for the replies, I was afraid of that.

I really hope Hamilton needs another pit on the hards.

You sir, are an idiot. This is a dangerous sport, so why do you want to see a crash?
Word. Also, why would you want to see F1 cars going slow and not racing? The only good thing about a safety car is the safety car itself. The SLS AMG always looks good.

Whatever Red Bull is going with their KERS is certainly a mystery.

Because it tightens up the fiels and changes strategy. To late for the strategy part now. I don't want a safety car. Alonso with the Ferrari engine will murder Petrov and his crummy Renault engine.:indiff:
