I saw the replay of the first crash and I think that it was a normal race incidente in a wet racing condition!also the Hamilton/Hulk' was a normale race incidente!Hulk' lost his race and it wasn't his fault!

So the best celebration Vettel could come up with was to "ride the bull" Felix da Costa style?

Anyway, what is a 'circuit yellow light' as oposed to a 'yellow flag - light'? If someone can clear that one up for me, then I'll congratulate the lucky brat.

Except we are talking about his 1st lap incident where he took two drivers out of the race.

'He' didn't do anything. It was quite obvious from the different camera angles that Senna completely got it wrong and Vettel didn't even adjust his steering angle to block his path. We will see what happens, but I doubt anybody will get penalised (even though it should be Senna).

Also may I just add, great drive from Vettel and the team. 'Some' others had a very unlucky race (I won't say who so I don't spoil it). Also I loved Kimi's little moment

Vettel's drive was better than the one he had in Abu Dhabi and he was also very clever, letting Kobayashi past to allow him to intimidate Alonso and reduce the risk of him hitting Vettel.

Can't believe what i've read here, the hate against Vettel is unbelievable, saying he was lucky yet seem to forget Alonso had to be third no matter what Vettel did. The only reason Alonso finished in the top three was lucky, he didn't race into second, Massa gave him one place and Hulkenberg gave him two more. Without that large dose of good fortune whatever Vettel did would have been moot.

Also funny how the fans get more irate than the teams themselves, I mean 'disintegrating' car, really?

Oh not to mention the safety car closing up Alonso's 40 second deficit. Really to call Vettel lucky but not Alonso is serious bias.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion

Nope.

Personally I'm not that bothered about any driver or any conspiracy - but I am absolutely stunned the stewards didn't even bother investigating the lap 1 crash Vettel caused, particularly since they slapped Hulkenberg with an insta-penalty for a considerably smaller violation.

Supposedly, the Circuit Yellow light is whats reffered to as a "Conditions Light", warning drivers of the treacherious conditions on the track.

Vettel himself also seems to have had Lady Luck on he's side.

I am not hating on Vettel. Quite the opposite. I would of liked him to have gotten a penalty and still finish P6.

The stewards, it seems, wanted to make it easier.

Taking all that into account does not change anything about Vettel through the entire season. He was gifted many points in many ways this year, and let off on several punishable acts.

He was gifted quite a few, but he has had just as much bad luck as the others (Alonso) due to the Alternator issues and the backmarker incident in Malaysia etc.

Well IMO it was a racing incident, Senna was certainly not completely alongside.

So was Alonso, swings and roundabouts. You can come up with hundreds of different 'what if' situations over this and any season but what happened happens and the driver with the most points deserves the title.

Well the stewards tend to look at lap 1 incidents differently and are a bit more lenient on them, due to the chaos. You can't expect drivers to constantly be aware of everything - I don't think Vettel did anything wrong with the Senna incident.
Personally I think Bruno was completely to blame for that incident - he dived down the inside and required a car/driver 3 places in front to recognize it. He was never going to pull that move cleanly.

The way it turned out naturally resolved itself.

I agree though that Hulkenburg shouldn't have been penalised as it was clearly un-intentional contact. I can't really imagine anyone saying it was "avoidable contact".

Maybe but a driver still need to be in a position to capitalize on that "luck". Both contenders were "lucky" multiple times this season so I have to disagree with anyone that specifies one driver over the other. the definition of luck here is too benefit from someone else's mishaps. That is part of racing and you see it in all Motorsports, not just F1. Some would say that Brad Keselowski lucked into wining the sprint cup but I would say that Johnson lost it by making mistakes that "lucked" Brad. It is part of all motosports and I feel, quite a pointless argument if one wants to show which driver is better then the other.

:D

Congratulations speedy boy 👍

Hey, on the positive side, he can only get better I guess...

Unless of course it is Grosjean

Well when you single-handedly and very clearly cause the chaos, I think its impossible for the stewards to do nothing.

But with the Vettel/Senna incident, it was kind of both their fault (more Senna's in my opinion).

He turned on him and made Räikkönen lock breaks and go off.
