McLaren should throw this car away and run an undated version of their 2012 car.
It would be easier than trying to make a slow car into a fast one.
It probably wouldn't be a bad idea (well it proably would be in reality though) at this point lol, considering that they don't seem to have a very solid grasp of how to fix or develop the current platform.
One thing that's really had me scratching my head is why they ever went to the high nose just for this year, when next years regulation will require a much lower nose. It seems to me like the mp4/28 would have had enough room for development against this years opposition, without having to go to a clean slate as they have done, getting completely lost in the process (as they have so often done in recent years), while likely wasting a lot of resources trying to pull themselves out of this lost cause.
IMO their priorities are all wrong - Instead of going to the high nose as they did this year, they should have concentrated on the suspension compliance of their cars (and how this relates to aero), as I feel next years turbo cars will likely have relatively nasty torque curves and throttle response, which will require solid rear mechanical suspension design in order to look after these crap Pirelli's - even moreso since the effectiveness of the EBD will likely be drastically reduced with single exit exhaust.
