Wow Stoke and West ham out, I'd say it's between the 3 of Arsenal United Liverpool but with this year it's all for the taking.

As an Arsenal fan I think we're favorites so unless we get a trip to Anfield or old trafford then we should be alright.

I wouldn't be so confident, you've got the Boro tomorrow!

Aston Villa appoint Tim Sherwood as their new manager until 2018, good move by Villa I liked Sherwood when he was at Spurs...

So this happened in the Bundesliga today, Bayer Leverkusen 4-5 Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich 8-0 Hamburg!

Hardly, we've got a 23 yo England international, and MU have signed an over-rated 28 year old striker whose price magically went from 60m Euro 2 years ago to 20m now 👍

Where did all the Falcao Fanbois go?

Serie A club Parma has been declared bankrupt, and might have already played their last game, they have no money to organize the next one or pay for security.

£265k/wk in wages and he looks like he's yards off the pace of the prem... very much doubt he'll become a permanent member of the team and will end up being a £20M one season experiment.

Shocking how far Italian football has fallen over the years since the economic crash... a sign of how weak the Italian economy is in general IMO.

He's been disappointing and I didn't expect much from him anyway. I don't know why people were fawning over him so much; very few strikers would stand out and bang in on a regular basis in this United team. Even so, with his reputation and goalscoring ability he ought to have done better than he has done. But he hasn't. Gosh, there's a bit of ambivalence here.

Meh. Axe him.

Shocking. Any links to this?

Living in Italy, the economy is absolutely horrible. When I first got there, I was incredibly annoyed that restaurants and shops are closed half of the week. At first, I thought they were just being lazy. Turns out they don't make enough income being open every day so, they are closed for half of the week.

Can't wait to watch the only somewhat interesting looking game this week, Southampton vs Liverpool. Going to be a good game I think.

Tough times across all the Euroland countries... unless you're German!

As a Liverpool supporter, it's a massive game for us. The form since we moved to a back 3 has been good, but unfortunately the form of everyone around us hasn't been different enough for us to significantly close the gap to a top 4 place. Winning the head to heads is now vital if we're going to qualify for Champions League next season.

Form over last 10 games...

Chelsea 23/30 - W8 D1 L1
Arsenal 22/30 - W7 D1 L2
Spurs 22/30 W7 D1 L2
Liverpool 21/30 W6 D3 L1
Southampton 20/30 W6 D2 L2
Man U 19/30 W5 D4 L1
Man City 16/30 W4 D4 L2

Or we just have to win the Europa league

Continuing the misbehaving fans subject.

In Rome a bunch of Feyenoord Rotterdam fans have been arrested yesterday. 8 of them have been fined. €45000,- per person.

And that apparently didn't help since today another group of idiots went on a rampage.

Great jobs fellas. Great.

Yep. We wanted another 2 weeks of trial and he had a benny about it and immediately signed for Leeds.

Is this not well known?

Idiots. No blame on Chelsea really as all clubs have them, but they need banning from all footy matches for life.

I watched the Celtic v Inter Milan game in a Glasgow pub last night and the atmosphere was pretty good - coming back from 2-0 down after 15 minutes to make it 2-2, and then to come back again to make it 3-3 showed a side of Scottish football very rarely seen - at 2-0 down, Celtic went on the attack and, for a few stirring moments, actually looked like a properly good team... the result was a fair reflection of the quality of both sides... slightly dodgy defending, but a very entertaining game.

My mate also told me he saw Ronny Deila and some other Celtic managerial staff in our local Irish bar, Jinty McGuinty's, on Saturday night. This is really quite bizarre. I could understand if he went to some of the other bars on the same street, but Jinty's on a Saturday night?!

What's the deal with Stan Collymore? I think he's been let go by BT for saying Chelsea have the most racists amongst their fans out of the Premier League sides. Other people are linking stuff which seems to back this up.

I don't like Stan Collymore anyway but if he's saying something which is true, what's the deal? I think it's necessary to demonstrate which clubs ought to ban what people.

He was due to commentate on tonight's Raith Rovers v Rangers game, but BT have dropped him from that game for comments he made about Rangers fans singing sectarian songs. I don't think he has been sacked by BT though.

Ah, okay. Hadn't seen that. I only saw people retweeting his Chelsea comments this morning. Well, is there any truth in what he says about sectarian problems with Rangers fans?

Damn.

Is the Pope catholic?

To be fair, there are sectarian bigots among the supporters of several Scottish clubs, not just Rangers - although due to the size and history of Rangers and their part as one half of the 'Old Firm', some sections of the Rangers support are particularly notorious for their sectarian leanings. I've never been to Ibrox but I have been to an Old Firm match and to say that the atmosphere was toxic would be (as Murray Walker might say) a masterpiece of understatement.

Just for clarity then, was there anything wrong or incorrect in what Collymore has said? I can understand why BT are dropping him from the game even if he has raised good points; fuel to the fire is the last thing a Rangers game like this needs.

Games this weekend

Saturday
Aston Villa v Stoke
Chelsea v Burnley
Crystal Palace v Arsenal
Hull v QPR
Man City v Newcastle (5.30 Sky)
Sunderland v West Brom
Swansea v Man United

Sunday
Everton v Leicester (2.05 Sky)
Southampton v Liverpool (4.15 Sky)
Tottenham v West Ham (12.00 BT)

Three games on TV on Sunday, the big one being Southampton v Liverpool but some big games at the bottom tomorrow

Chelsea have issued on apology to the man who was subjected to the racist abuse, they read a statement before Mourinho's press conference stating how appalled they are and the fans are not Chelsea fans and they are in the middle of a through investigation, Mourinho used the word 'shame' when asked about it and refuses to be connected to the incident and racism in general....

Apparently the man has been invited to attend a Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge, perhaps courtesy of Mr. Abramovich himself.

What could possibly go wrong?!
