Wait until Nissan decides to enter WRC, then we may just get it.
Not even. I may start a petition...

"Hey, PD and Nissan, I don't believe that GT Academy is a very good marketing plan, because... The cars don't handle well in the opinions of many drivers. Many drivers would prefer something a little less powerful and more fun.. something you can really get the best out of more easily... If you put us in a Skyline R33 on Toscana, different people will enjoy driving your cars, so you can attract more buyers..."

But, I'm just a biased guy who's grumpy because "How the flamingo do you pelicans go that fast?"

If there's a rally gta we'll I'll be number one is the usa
My goal in motorsports is to become a rally driver in Canadian Rally Championship (CRC) but it will be relatively expensive.. but, I've done rallycross and things, and I'm pretty fast with both.

I really can't drive GT3 cars. I'm surprised I even made 16th in Canada... I was 6th, until those who deserve it more like @BionicDerp and @LLOYDZELITE69 showed up.

To you guys, congratulations. See my previous post, the post about flamingos and pelicans. ;)

Can someone explain it to me like I was realy :dunce: how to make the rear slide on 1st corner entry without using the handbrake ...
I´m at 2.15,541 2nd in my region, but I had to use the handbrake on the 1st corner, I need some other technique that gives more consistency.
I'm in the same lap time zone as you so I'm not sure if I can help but:
I'm breaking a bit late then trailbreaking into the corner, just after I turn in I drop to 1st, slide in into the corner then mash the throttle and "cowboy" it out of the corner wheel spin is OK. Just don't let it bog.

After what has felt like an eternity, I've finally managed a faster lap, but it's only a 2:15.380. That's a mere 0.084 faster than my previous lap and I remain 13th in the UK (though I'm up to 92nd worldwide). I threw away two tenths on the last chicane, partly because I had three good laps all end when I hit a cone in the same place and the fear of doing it again struck.

I'm starting to hate the car, because it keeps reacting differently on the limit and that means I can't drive it consistently. :grumpy: I defy anyone to run 5 consecutive laps within half a second of their fastest time.

Could you provide some sort of proof to substantiate your opinion? I'm all ears, and quite interested. If you think you can get a 2'14.xyz without slidey apex thing, I'd love to hear how. :D
Check my replay. apart from T1 (which even then, wasn't too slidey), I've done a 2:14.847.

Well that was a frustrating evening.... Didn't improve, well actually I did but not total lap time... Been on for numerous 14.6xx/.7xx/.8xx but kept messing something up. Although T1 for me is dreadful guaranteed tenth lost every time, just glad I can pull the rest back in the lap!

Will get it at weekend though :)! Want a 14 for the guide!

If I make it, I might not even be able to travel to the national finals or race camp.
This is truly terrible. I couldn't think of a person I'd rather have representing us. Whatever happens, I wish you the best of luck in at least having the opportunity to attend nationals... No matter what, I want the best to win or lose on the track... Same for @Thanks_Eh

End of next week i'm going to get some more laps in. I know I can do so much better than my current 2:20 something.

2:16 due to your wheel :P - only had time to do a few laps. Got gold time and the GTR already, and Spa is my favourite track to drive in anything.

5 hours! (with a few short breaks in between) and I didn't improve at all! Incredible frustrating. standing on 2.17.170 at the moment.

I'll have to stay positive and say that I got Eu Rouge down with the best of them at least. had a 0.400 lead on the first split to my ghost but lost it in the corners thereafter :(

your guide can not come quickly enough Tigney! ;)

Nonsense. You just don't want to admit that I'm getting better. The GT5 days when you would beat me are over and now I race with and learn from @Spurgy 777 ... ;) the guy you sent to beat me

:P

Yeah, I have tuition to pay off, and one of my references for my passport past away before it was done, so they have to redo the process all over again so I can get it. But I'll try my best to represent Canada. If not, I'll be more prepared and more experience for next year. So right now I'm going to to see if I can prove that I can make it to national finals. And see if I could make it.

I'd just like to race anything, but I have no extra cash, and probably won't for quite a while. Someone was selling a stock car, 3 engines, and a lot of parts for $500.

I wonder if this Nissan -PD relationship is exclusive... I'm surprised more race teams don't try to grab some drivers.

 did they say how many of those worked? 0?

But, yeah... I've been racing all my life (10 years, only been around for 20) so I can definitely say it'd be worth getting into. Especially someone with your/our calibre of talent... ;) go save some money and enjoy it - whether it's GT Academy, rallying, karting (I'm selling one for $650, actually) or something else... It is fun.

The very thing you describe here seemingly happened to me today during my sessions. In the beginning, I was able to keep up with my ghost and even make substantial improvements in certain sectors. Then after one of my breaks, I came back and couldn't even come close to keeping up with my ghost. It was as if my car suddenly lost power or something, it was pretty weird to say the least. That very thing is the source of my recent frustration here. I was like, "what the 🤬 is wrong with my car." All settings have remained the same, ABS1, so nothing has changed there. I really don't know whats going on but it was enough to make me rage quit. :banghead:

Don’t mean to butt in, but concerning the bolded, do you exit your sessions when you take your breaks? I see you put in hundreds of miles per session and I‘m thinking you’re losing Horsepower (and Performance Points). Obviously we can’t check the loaned cars, but I find after about 120 miles, the vehicle will lose some engine performance while I’m earning credits, even though the GT Auto light stays Green. That could be the cause.

Of course it you do exit, resetting your car’s mileage to zero.... then ignore the above and :odd:...... <---

There's a small tarmac oval within a 2h drive from here. I think I'd like to save a lot, move closer, get into it... There's also a place 4h away where you pay $500 and basically "rent" a stock car for the day. Practice, qualifying, and a full race.

What's it called? Flamboro? Sauble? Barrie? Oshweken?

;)

It's called Centre For Speed, and I was wrong. A car rental for the day is $195. Our track on-island is Oysterbed Speedway.
Silly Easterner, I thought you were in Ontario  sorry.

But, yeah, sounds fun. Tip: road courses are more fun than ovals, rally more fun than road courses. ;) IMO at least.
