I'm just finishing up with Skip Barber down in Florida at Homestead-Miami Speedway and Ganassi just rolled up for a test in their DP tomorrow. Talked to them today, I guess they're testing all morning tomorrow and Scott Pruett will be driving, going back to watch tomorrow, they invited me back to meet Scott :P

Ok I'm jealous... enjoy!

We just need the team for BAR1 Motorsport in the Prototype Challenge class, the #28 Dempsey Racing Porsche 911 GT America in the GTD class and the team-mate for Bryce Miller in the Paul Miller Racing Audi R8 LMS. Regarding the BAR1 Motorsport team we do have four Additional Drivers in Christian Englehart, Rolf Ineichen, Lance Wisley, Klaus Bachler and Franz Konrad but I don't know who their main drivers will be.

Looks like the Deltawing is going to be rocking a new livery.

So... This series just got a bit more stupid, this is just gonna create a lot more sandbagging during the race!!
http://sportscar365.com/imsa/tusc/imsas-new-anti-sandbagging-rule-explained/

I would prefer to just let them race, but I understand what they're trying to do. They are trying to keep things even with obviously non-identical platforms. If the classes were one-make this would be a non issue, but the only way to make fair adjustments is to have true (honest) data.

All that being said, I sincerely hope they do not have to use this penalty at all, ever. That basically comes down to the teams being honest and the officials having sanity in applying the rule. We can only hope...

Yeah, if you baggin before, your gonna have to bag it now. :banghead:
All eyes on you Ganassi :odd:
And wasn't it McMurry in the 02 with the fastest time at the Roar before they left.
So as long as they are still fastest, oh well.

All that said, rules be rules, whatever.

It was Westbrook (IIRC) with the actual fastest Roar lap.

It should be a great race.

I present to you the spotters guide by Andy Blackmore! - including Conti Tyres series! (File optimised by me as original is huge and can't be uploaded to GTP due to size, apologies for image quality drop).

I'm getting more and more excited by the day for the Rolex. Anti-Sandbagging and driver rating BS aside (Seth Nieman and Dane Cameron are ranked the same)

Yeah, because no one else would even think of attempting such a dastardly deed
Ganassi sure fooled everyone last year...and the 2011 race...
Props to Continental for really improving the tire since the November test.
They really stepped up their game and all the credit should go to them!

Ok, let me see if I got that right... The race will be streamed flag to flag??
I seriously hope there will be Radio LM coverage because those idiots at Radio Daytona or whatever seriously suck!
I like MRN better, but that's personal preference. I don't like Eli Roll Damn Tide Gold as an announcer personally though

Not sure the sarcasm got through to you. It's in reference to the picture above my original post.
Anyone who can go from cars that fly to cars that defy gravity deserves all the credit in the world ;)

Blame the FIA for that mess. I never liked it and I get the feeling that's what bought on this stupid GT-AM BS we see at Le Mans so naturally I already hate that's it going to be in the series.

Damn only those guys and their evil schemes

You've got to have some place for the am guys to race. PC is perfect for that btw. The whole 2 class GT system with one being pro and the other being am is confusing. Any system that ranks Guy Cosmo and Anthony Lazzaro as amateur drivers needs the guillotine. The system hurts the drivers more than it helps. It makes the ranking system an eternal pissing contest

Love watching the Vette build, so cool to see it done and how I know how to do some of the stuff that goes into building that car. It's just great to see that kind of craftsman ship rather than some massive machine that does it all and cant fully be appreciated like certain motorsports.

We are getting another cold front here in FL. I think the race for Sat/Sun will be approximately mid to low 60's and dipping into high 40's/low 50's at night. No rain (knock on wood).

Go away stupid cold, we don't like you!! Lol!
I'll probably be getting to the track at 10PM on Sat, hopefully it won't be too cold.
