Well I'm only on a 3:28.209... Apparently done lots of mileage but I think that may be due to me restarting 90% of the time after I enter the straight. Then when I do get on an absolute stormer I nail the cones at the chicane lol! Maybe it's just my Man Flu playing on me a little!

Gotta say the bumper cam is horrendous for this combo, the car is so much wider than the camera I've sort of had to re adjust, and the bouncing down the straight, well good job I'm not travel sick! I do like the idea of the car though brings in a whole new driving style which is kinda cool!

I'll give it another few goes throughout the week and then the guide should be at the weekend! I can only play until Wednesday next week as I'm actually off to watch this car around that track live so I'll see where I end up!

Props to Wolf though that's an outstanding lap for Day #1! I imagine a 3:22.9 - 3:24 is possible. This combination will also be the biggest in gaps across all GT Academys as well I reckon, 1 mistake loses alot of time!

Definitely mate, Wolf's lap for a day 1 attempt is brilliant; really impressive but he's showed his pace in previous rounds! There's definitely much more time to find, but I just posted a 3:27.07 to represent the brits on the top 10 world leaderboard at least :P

Ignore the 1.294 s gap though :lol: I'm really looking forward to see what Immortal can do with this combo too!

I don't know what to say about this round. Cool combo but massively difficult and inconsistent it feels like. Good luck to you all!

I actually think this is the best round so far, at least for me. It may be hard for some to get consistent times, but I find it easy somehow. I just hate those cones!!!
 
To realistically replicate the front-wheel drive characteristics of the GT-R LM, I'll be practicing in a Nissan Leaf.
 
Wow. Interesting. I like a challenge. First clean lap was a 3:34.158 for 133rd as I speak.

Finished up with a 3:26.791, good enough for 5th in World (1st Regional - UK). Time for bed I think!

This is my first proper experience of GT Academy, I'm loving it so far! :D Still a lot more time to find to get close to Wolf though...

3:28.9 with DS3. Hope with the wheel I can improve at least 2 seconds.
This the kind of round that separates the boys from the men .I like it. And it should be held at night with cockpit cam only...
 
Enjoying this one but will have limited time to have a good run (work gets in the way at the wrong time )
Got gold but to get into the 20's I need to improve at arnage & mulsanne, I'm overbraking. Plus losing time at 1st part of Ford Chicane.
1st lap was hilarious to say the handling is a bit different from the zytek is an understatement and the power delivery is interesting ...

I saved my reply so I could use it again later, and when I click on it to load ghost it doesn't show. Is it meant to be where you have to do a lap each time to get the ghost/line?

I switched to roofcam. Couldn't drive it in cabin, it's a wacky beast with so much 'bonnet' up front. I did give cabin a serious trial at Apricot Hill though, and just couldn't find the apices.

Kudos on the time though. I CBA to get the wheel out, I'm sure I could knock a few seconds off and it would be more fun to drive that way... but meh. :D
 
I got Gold and im out no more.... and my hands are still shaking from that . wrestled the Thrustmaster T500 for a few hours and im worn out. I just cant figure this car out. like the chicane after dunlop I will drive the same line and every other time I will have to restart the lap as I hit a bump and it just washes out. had to go back and forth between traction on 0 and 1 too.
