When you listen to Alex Bowman he sounds so grateful for his opportunity to drive the 88. Then you realize HMS has no decent young drivers. If you tie JR Motorsports to the equation, you get Allgaier and Sadler. Sadler is a career nobody, Allgaier if given an opportunity may have become respectable. Hell, they had to put Chase Elliott in the 24 and he has no chance to see victory lane anytime soon. The 34 has a victory, that in itself should make Buescher ROTY. He can win in third tier equipment, where Prince Chase has top of the line equipment and continues to fail week in and week out. Reminds me of Princess Danica in that 10 car, just taking a space on the grid every week
William Byron

The more I read into the whole Dale Earnhardt Jr. concussion thing, the more gravely concerned I become for Dale Jr. Granted I was never any Dale Jr. fanatic, the whole concussion issue is serious business. I just hope Dale Jr. just gets healthy. "NASCAR America" had a great segment discussing all the nuances of Dale Jr.'s concussion and the different effects of having a concussion. You don't want something like this to ruin your livelihood or anything. On top of that, you have to feel for such athletes even if you don't like them.

Having said all of this, good luck to all drivers and teams competing across all levels of NASCAR this weekend.
Chase has actually had some good runs this year. Dover is a great example

Must we remind you a-freaking-gain that the man 3rd in all time wins, Jeff Gordon, the man who made the 24 the great number that it is, did NOT win in his rookie year. If Chase wins in his first year, that would in a way make him better than Jeff Gordon, heck Chris Buescher is already better in that same way. I would say that barring a career ending accident or something similarly terrible Chase will have at least around a Mark Martin level of wins and probably 2 championships.

I agree that William Byron is a talented driver. But he has yet to see any wheel time with JRM or Hendrick. I think he should be considered the favorite to win the Xfinity Championship next year. But my point is that he isnt there yet and Hendrick had to put Chase Elliott in the 24 because there was no other choice besides his famous last name. Some people were comparing the Chase Elliott situation to Joey Logano's when they put him in the Home Depot car based on how young they were. That is comical, Elliott wouldn't be able to carry Logano's shoes to the track, let alone have the number of wins Joey has now

If Tag doesn't wreck the whole field first.

And as I say that, bye-bye!

I'm almost certain you're thinking of Patrick Carpentier, he is very well known as a bulldozer in Nascar. Tagliani, to my knowledge has been either cleaner or just as bargey as the regulars.

I can't exactly remember why, but for whatever reason I've thought of him as a pretty rough driver. I keep thinking back to Montreal(?) Where I thought he sent Villenuve around, but as I just watched the video earlier, it was the other way around.

Either way, bringing in a "Roadcourse Specialist" seems kind of cheap IMO, especially when it's in the Xfinity series, and the guy drives in IndyCar. From what I've seen today, it seems that whenever he's trying to make a pass, someone else goes off the track because of it. I can understand being aggressive at the end of a race, but halfway, just feels wrong to me. Then again, it's a roadcourse. Rubbing fenders is going to happen.

Granted, I'm partial to wanting Suarez or even Michael McDowell winning, just to actually see McDowell.

 Talk about hold a line and hope it sticks!

EDIT: @nascarfan1400, you say that as if it was Busch or Keselowski lapping the entire field and mopping the floor with them all afternoon. At least it was a race to the end and not one guy dominating all day. If Tagliani would have won, everybody'd still be in the same position they are now, so can we ban part time drivers as well as Cup guys? They're all field fillers in the end, right?

Well, I could've sent that script to Hollywood and made millions.

Reason #40,359 Why Cup guys should be barred from Xfinity:

Road America 2016
As much as I dislike buschwhacking, I think this is getting into unreasonable territory. At least be glad it wasn't a regular contender for Cup wins taking this one...

Last I knew Tag said he was done with IndyCar and was looking to get further in Nascar. That could have changed but I'm quite sure he's looking for more Nascar stuff but the road races are all he's been getting so far, and he's running Nascar Pintys full time this year too.
