Double post but something weird has happened. How come I have FS2 still but apparently FS1 is gone? :odd: Says I have to order it...but I've had both for like 4 years now...

What provider do you have?

FS1 decided it doesn't want to work on TV so RLM saves me- not that mattered since I would have opened their stream for the race anyway even if it was working.

Is there anywhere to watch while FS1 is in commercial? Their app isn't working for me even though I have a proper provider. It makes me log in to Verizon's own service, not FoxSports. Really annoying.

It's really cool seeing the bulk of the GTLM field line astern in the race. Looks like IMSA got the BoP right for this race because everyone has the pace and looks to be competitive.

They qualified 5th and are only 36 points behind the points leader. That's why they opted to stay in the race. They also said they need to count on those ahead to make mistakes or different strategies to get a win or even podium. They know they're behind in pace but when you're that close in points and anything can happen, it's worth rolling the dice.

Bamber's collision was obvious three seconds before it happened. I'll be surprised if no penalty is given for that move.

Good to see Magnussen getting a win, finally.

There's speculation that Bamber ran over fluids dropped by the 33 before contact with the Risi Ferrari. I don't know if that's true or not, but that is something that the RLM crew noted as a story going around in the pits.

With the CORE announcement, it appears that there will be more full season DPi on the grid in 2017 than P class entrants now.

I'm expecting at least 10 or 11 at Daytona and I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't 15 or more

I wouldn't be shocked if a few WEC/ELMS teams hopped over for the first two races just to get a feel for the new cars in race trim. That's presuming the ACO/IMSA relationship doesn't deteriorate even more before than of course.

DPi is turning out to be a brilliant idea. When the series drops PC and goes to just DPi, GTLM and GTD for 2018, we could see the best season yet! :D

Yeah, according to Dailysportscar, CORE Autosport is looking at IMSA prototype for 2017.

Which is funny, 'cause Sportscar365 seems to be convinced that CORE is going to GTD in 2017.

Someone in the break room at the CORE office has obviously noticed

CORE say an announcement is coming soon.

Porsche DPi would look amazing.

*cough*

(Probably quite a bit different than the GT1 that I first thought, but the general shape would be similar.)

The Lexus GT3 is actually happening next year. :D

Meanwhile the trolls are gone for good this season.

Interesting to note though that the comments point out that the issue they had was less the BoP and more so how the BoP screws up the Porsche's balance. Their comments though so...who knows.

Also...huh?! :odd:
