Fin is designed to stop the cars rolling.
I know what it is designed to do. You are assuming that that means it is the difference between rolling over or not rolling over in that specific incident.

Possible penalty's for the two leading cars for passing under yellow.

Ok you supply a 919 hybrid with the same temp, air density , air pressure , same wind speed and direction and prove me wrong :)
 
I like the fin because it makes the cars look sexy but I don't think it stopped the car rolling, the Wainwright Porsche hitting the bottom of the floor rotated it back onto the bonnet, otherwise it would've gone all the way over.
 
Does it have to be at the same time of day and the exact weather conditions too?
All other variables have to be the same to be considered a scientific experiment.

Passing under yellow is now legal, nice.:boggled:
They said you're only in the yellow sector when you pass the yellow flag, not when you see it. In the replay, you could clearly see the pass was far away from the yellow flag.
