I've always wondered what would happen if you put an LMP1 engine in an F1 chassis. The P1 engines produce around 1200bhp maybe more so how are they able to do that while F1 engines struggle to produce upwards of 900hp.

I assume weight and engine regs play a factor but how different are these engines? Apologies if this sounds like a dumb question.

F1 engines produce roughly 950 to 1000hp from the Mercedes units at current, they also have this power for much longer then the LMP1 do, so the acceleration difference is massive, lighter weight also helps.

The LMP1s have around 550hp-600hp with spurts of 1000-1200hp accelerating out of braking zones.

Glad to see Toyota being there for a podium after the slow pace. I heard they're running the low downforce cars, so hopefully they can really fight for the rest of the season and Le Mans.

Why is Bob Varsha commentating instead of the normal commentators. It's so monotone and way too Americanized.

What I really can't stand is how I keep hearing the saliva in the sides of his mouth before and after he speaks.

Based on their performance in IMSA so far...I don't think they need sandbags.

A combination of their obsession with "Ecoboost" and building a car that is at the limits of the LMGTE rulebook. Not the worst turbo ever though, sounds better than the disgusting BMW M6 panzer (should have borrowed Bentley's V8T).

Hopefully Audi have some response to it and can appeal. I'd hate to see them lose a hard earned victory....

EDIT: I don't think the GT Pro leader was actually excluded... That was from ELMS...
