2018 Grand Prix de MonacoFormula 1

There's a roughly 20 KPH difference between Ricciardo and Vettel. :guilty:

I'd wager that Red Bulls best shot is to wait for Vettel to pit and for Danny to pit afterwards.
Ricciardo's only shot is if he can stay out and not stop again - but since he's on ultrasofts I'm guessing he will lose out eventually...

It's looking good for Bottas here...

Danny is going to have to pray that there isn't a full safety car that closes them all up. Judging by how boring this is all going his prayers might be answered!

Max on hypersoft trying to get the fastest lap of the race... On Monaco... Where he already crashed on FP3... You sure?

This turd of a race needs a bit of drama.

What a sad track!

It’s Monaco. Drama isn’t going to happen outside of turn 1 unless there’s a crash, failure, or alien invasion.

Yeah it’s not a good track for F1, like all street circuts are not good for F1. However I would counter that this is F1’s showpiece of the season, it’s tradition, and it’s so ingrained into motor racing that it ain’t going to change anytime soon.

And no I wouldn’t change it as it’s been the one constant since I’ve been watching F1 starting in the 70’s. Monaco for me is always worth a watch even if the racing is crap with modern F1 cars.

Too late now for Ham/Rai/Bot to gamble on a two-stopper.

Could have made that call several laps ago and gambled on a safety car, or on being able to overtake near the end.

At the very least, force Red Bull to think about two-stopping.

That was NEVER going to happen. Track position is king here.
