Had to go for the JPS 635csi, my all time favourite racecar.

(Although I wish they used a pic of the Group A version, instead of the Group C one.)
.. And look what Supercars posted

I guess this creates a lot of questions now, Do Kelly's scale down to 2 car, if so who stays? who leaves, where do the other 2 rec's go?

We all figured this is easily the way it would go. Either they bring in a more coupe styled car (GTR) or they just move on with life. We now have our answer and luckily got this length of time when other manufactures would have probably closed up shop 2 or 3 years sooner. Still not all that impressed with Nissan's Motorsports arm.

In dream land, I'd like the #78 to slide over to DJRTP, in 2020.

Being Todd gave his blessing to Andre, I'd guess Simona and Caruso would be out in 2020.

I think they'll scale back to 2, Rick will stay and then its really between Caruso for Speed and Result or Simona for TV time and Promo stuff, don't get me wrong she can drive also. If Simona stays, i think a team would be silly not to pick Caruso up, as for Andre, He's impressed me this year, all warrent a drive. As for REC's i think i read the other week 23 Red wanna expand and i think DJRTP could expand and be successful now

Red Bull HRT have mentioned developing a female driver program. Money talks. She doesn't have to be loyal to any team at the moment.

Regarding manufacturers, I suspect a new marque, would do what Ford are doing. Work with multiple teams over handing duties to just one. Though, GRM have been the exception. They really have their act together.

That's the other thing i forgot to mention, Simona to Holden could be a real possibility, Could RBHRT get a 4th REC or Could she replace Lowndes in 2020?

As far as I'm aware. Simona only has a contract with Supercars itself, not the Kelly's or Nissan. She's free to swtich to any team next year.

Exactly. in a competitive car, guaranteed she'd be on par with where DePasquale and Lebrocq sit this season.

With an option to return to a certain American event the last weekend in May in a car and team with a great chance of winning?

I'd be all for that.

It's interesting how Todd confirms Nissan really never helped develop anything - it showed.

“It’s really a shame, but what it’s come down to is that we’ve lost a sponsor and a great brand, which we need to work hard to recover,” Kelly told foxsports.com.au.

“The technical side of it, there wasn’t really much involvement (from Nissan) in the last three or four years at all.

“We’ve had complete control of the technical side of the team from the start (plus) a little bit of support in the opening years from Nissan, but that’s where that ended.”

Scrolling through Instagram, I came across this post from Auto Action (I know, I know, but it’s something I guess):

Saw it on discord a few hours before, we all laughed said another Auto Fiction render and moved on. Look when they start becoming consistent I'll buy into what they're trying to sell on the sport. Getting lucky every odd 6-7 years on the other hand.

Anyways it's an interesting render and would be nice but I just don't see it happening. Especially with the direction the series is going with the cars Holden and Ford will run.

I wouldn't mind the technology. Not for the sake of just getting Toyota in the series. However, touring cars don't need it. There's a Camry V8 running around in NZ.

Rather than VASC try to be a leader(I know this is only AA dreaming) with such technology, I'd rather it be looked at if other series are using it(BTCC, GT3, etc).

Sorry mate, you've lost me on that vote. I don't even like it in F1. Never have, never will.

I think it belongs strictly in Formula E.

The day I can't buy a non-hybrid petrol powered car, is the day I'll be buying a ticket for public transport and a bike & that's saying something from a bloke like me.

And this is why I find this fanbase for this series non-fluid and overly nostalgic. I agree it shouldn't be in VASC, a series with a group of manufactures that don't really seem to find it nearly as important as others. In other words, other manufactures haven't seemed to push for this change in the sport, so why would it be introduced? Also not having much reason to be here either way, it would most likely be spec driven thus undermining the reason even more so. However, technology of any sort isn't bad and doesn't mean fan boost, push to pass, or the like.

Love the Supercars Trackside show. Ingall made an excellent point. Make the series about racing and not about bending to manufacturers. Make it so people want to join the sport.

Also Todd putting to light a bit more of what went into making the engine competitive.
