Yeah, knew it was for Wings For Life, but odd that they wear the blue suits for prac and white for races. Was the same at Phillip Island.

Considering how hairy this race is, they probably didn't want to risk dirtying them...to bad that probably hasn't worked out.

Pity that Courtney wasn't able to hold off Lowndes. Still, can't complain about 4th. Hell of a lot better than WAU were doing last year.

Excellent performance from Simona yesterday too. 👍

Lowndes drive from 25th to the podium is one of the best I've seen from him in years

And some people think he's washed up & past his use by date
If anyone had said to me at the start of that race that McLaughlin and Lowndes would both be on the podium I would have laughed at them. Great drives by both of them.

Also good to see they changed the ruling on turn 7 for that race, better late than never.

I would've been laughing with you

If only I could make up 23 spots in a race... Oh wait.
That was quite a drive for Lowndes, one of the best in a long time.

Not looking forward to the next round, Winton is never really all that exciting. Then the first dreaded month long break. :(
Yeah, Winton is a boring location. It does produce some interesting "overtakes". Still, boring. On par with Ipswich.

Being winter, for the long break, that's when the show should venture with F1 to NA or Europe.

Could be one way to race in winter.

Geez you guys are building/planning a lot of tracks, Tailem Bend just finished, Rockhampton is planned and looking for approval, this new circuit. A trip around Aus is sounding better and better.

And Circuit Italia(don't know if they've got approval yet).

I hadn't heard of that circuit (cheers for the heads up, it looks interesting 👍) so I did a bit of digging. Everthing I looked at said it was approved back in 2013.

I've driven by the entrance to the location, several times, while going to the quarry up the road. It still has the MG Club signs and front gate closed. Italia Road is being resurfaced. Maybe that's part of the approval/process?

Craig Lowndes has announced that he will retire from full time Supercar driving at the end of the 2019 season.

His contract with Triple Eight finishes at the same time & he has said he'll concentrate on Endurance driving from then.

If he competes in every race from now until the last race of 2019, he will have started 698 Supercar races.

:(

His 700th should be Bathurst 2020 then, which will be massive. Honestly never been a huge Lowndes fan, but it will be super odd without him full time. He’s been Supercars mainstream man for years, the one that even if you don’t care at all about car racing in Australia, you still know who Craig Lowndes is. The sport needs a new person like him once he does retire. McLaughlin has probably the most chance of being that man.

I'd be a happy little Vegemite if he won his 10th Bathurst with a hatrick in his 700th.

Yeah, that has a really nice synergy to it :D

I went Falcon Coupe, but the A9X and R32 are equally iconic.

Had to go for the JPS 635csi, my all time favourite racecar.

(Although I wish they used a pic of the Group A version, instead of the Group C one.)
