James Courtney has left the track. Reports of him being ill. Perkins is in.

Fair call. Not too much to be gained from today's practice, if the rest of the weekend is doing to be dry. Hopefully Courtney is feeling better tomorrow.

Practice 2. Dry line on the surface. Some oil from the previous support category and dirt on pit entry, catching drivers out.

Stanaway improving and so is Simona.

Reminds me of Darwin when Caruso won and Todd could have won the Sunday race. Then, Rick was leading there before the stuck throttle. Caruso and Rick make good starts. They might get the jump on Scott.

This DePasquale piece is really good. I didn't like him at first. Seemed a bit messy in Super2. Respect to this young man.

So cool to see Pye's display change when he adjusted brake bias. The kid is on fire.

Maybe safety car with Blanchard beached.

HOLD ON RICK!

Man, I wish I could pull moves like Pye and SVG did on McLaughlin in GT Sport without receiving a 10 second penalty. :(

Rick got lucky there with Blanchard (why is he still around?) bringing out the SC, without that nobody would have caught Scotty - not even the other Scott or Shane. I had a funny feeling a backmarker was going to break Scotty's streak and so it was, mind you he didn't help himself with that error into turn 1 on the restart.

But hey, what's racing without a bit of luck?

Of course the result would have been totally different without the safety car, but, as they say, that's motorsport!

I'm just chuffed that a Nissan won. Because Nissan!!! :D:D:D

I don't look at the SC meaning much, also the universe has a funny way of working. Pull the plug on the operation, and said team you backed wins the race. From a casual standpoint this would be highly ironic and hilarious. Good job to Rick.
