Despite his lack of experience I reckon that Kostecki will beat Jones

Yeah I agree, I don’t see much from Macauley Jones to be honest. He’s been in DVS for what feels like forever and only has one win to his name.

Simona has sort of disappointed so far this season, was hoping she’d have a bit more pace being in her second year and the she’s the only Nissan that hasn’t had some time towards the top 10 really.

In fairness, look at the whole field. Only dud would be Blanchard(who I was measuring here against for last year). When looking at places 1-14, where would you place her in that group?
In in order for her to get to that top 10, she'd have to beat Caruso. Let alone try to beat Percat, Davison, Frosty, Lebrocq, Tander.

She's quick enough. As she's admitted, qualifying is the key. She can't do what Tander and Lowndes do, which is move up from the back. However, her getting mixed up in incidents doesn't help.

Things are promising. The cars are fast now and she's comfortable. I want her in top 10s as well, but VASC is super tough.

Interesting to see where all drivers fair

That's definitely telling. Surprised to see Holdsworth in that group, with all the woes they've had.

Fabians should be up there were Whincup is. Maybe The Bend will give us a surprise.

Holdsworth and others in the list, probably weren't in contention for the win when they were leading. They more than likely opted for the alternate strategy in hope of a late safety car. Which is fair enough, gotta do what ya gotta do :)

Mostert and Frosty with a combined 29 laps led. Really illustrates PRA's struggles so far this year.
I'm pretty sure some of PRA's laps lead were for the same reason as Holdsworth's, which makes things even worse!!!:nervous:

My goodness. Guess I'm thumbing too fast for this phone. Ready my texts is like playing scrabble.

A Scott Pye clean sweep?

I can dream, can't I?

Mind boggling. Especially from a top class team like that.
Hey, I wouldn't mind. I like the kid. He ALMOST got "lost" among his Dunlop class, like Holdsworth has. The DJR seat upped his stocks and he's finally able. to flaunt his skill.

Yeah, I get the alternate strategies. However, I thought Simona had lead a couple laps. Must have been last year.

like Holdsworth has

Feel for Holdsworth. Good driver but he's certainly not doing his career any favours pottering around the back half of the grid. Doubt it's going to get any better for him unless he can somehow get himself into a more competitive car team.

So today finally got to meet Reynolds again, and meet Barry Ryan for the first time, and what a special day it was. Pretty small turnout so we got heaps of one on one time with Reynolds and Ryan, and the Q&A was great (don't want to spoil anything but Erebus has something in the works to replace the shoey, they're just waiting for a big enough podium space-wise to do it) and for anyone who thought that Reynolds' persona on screen was just that, could not be more wrong, if anything, he's just as loose in person than on TV  He also dished to great lengths to me his complete disdain for Van Gisbergen, which was hilarious to listen to. But as great as meeting Reynolds and Ryan was, nothing could top them actually taking the Peter Brock trophy out, and letting the few of us that stuck around hold it ourselves and take pictures with it. That was a truly special moment. Such an amazing opportunity.

EDIT: Thought I'd share one pic from last night's private function (that Reynolds couldn't make as his flight was delayed). Car and trophies in all their glory. I'd post some pics of today but the lighting really messed with the quality of them and I'm in all of them so I'll spare posting them

Man, that livery is going to look sensational under the lights at Eastern Creek. Very cool.

Edit: Meanwhile. Dunlop livery for Percat this weekend.

The Dunlop livery looks great, except for maybe that black part at the front.

Honestly not a big fan of the WAU car at all. The front end reminds of KISS face paint, and not in a good way.

OMG stop changing the livery on Percat's car FFS

The Supports are missing TCM. Hopefully next year. TCR, TCM, improved Production, Aussie Racing Cars, Carrera Cup..
Great list 👍, just ditch the Carrera Cup, replace it with Super2, and I'd be one happy camper :D.

...and Aussie Racing Cars could be swapped with the 86 Series, but I'd be happy either way.

Either way. I just put Carrera Cup in a slot. S2 would be fine. Don't know why it's not on their calendar. The facilities should have enough garages.

Shame Aus GT have already been there earlier in the year. Could have had them as a support act as well.

Heritage Touring Cars are another support that should be in on this new VASC event.
I just can't see F4 with the presence it should have. Bill it with Radicals, LMPs, Formula 5000, F3, etc. It's not the same as having VASC and F1. If it were F3/F2, something else.

So, Skaife says there's no better place in Australia to watch a Supercars race, than watching from the top spot at Townsville. It's also the best street circuit.

Thought he said all this at Newcastle... and Bathurst... and...
